Booked a table for a birthday on the late night menu. Server, Max, was a joy to dine with. Had the Bison Tartare and the creme Brule and the food was perfect. 2nd major event here this year and looking for excuses to return often

Absolutely the BEST dining experience I've ever received! Our server Max was hilarious, very attentive and absolutely lovely to interact with. He really made my friend's birthday all the more special and made us all very comfortable.

I adored all the decor; restaurant itself is stunning and really transports you to a different time. The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal, especially considering it was my first time trying rare beef!

Will be coming back!

The nicest restaurant in town. Service is God-Like, food was beyond amazing and the atmosphere was so inviting.

I felt so fancy eating here but not out of place. A true friend to the younger generation this restaurant has nostalgia in every corner, sure to catch your eye.

I suggest the 3 Monts Large Bottle Beer for any beer lovers. Was the most perfect beverage for my Grilled Boar Chops.

This is my 2nd time, and it will NOT be my last. We just love the place. The food is so good. Just loved the service. Highly recommend.

I just visited this place for the first time, and I want to move in.
It's perfectly weird, but in a way that makes you feel comfortable, not uncool.
Everything was incredible. The food and drinks were amaze-balls but the biggest highlight was the service. The main person that took care of us was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, but other staff members seamless stepped in to run food, refill drinks, and run payments. I love a good restaurant, but I don't know if I've ever had a better dining experience.
I can't wait to come back.

We went there a tad before our 5pm reservation last night, while they were still lighting the candles. The whole vibe is like you’re in an Anne Rice novel (I personally LOVE it). It’s dark, fun and utterly unpretentious.

I had the steak (melt-in-your-mouth delicious), while my companion had the chicken (he said it was excellent). We shared the potatoes dauphinois and roasted brussel sprouts (both very good) and were completely full. I had the Jasper’s Rum Punch “with fire and a surprise”, and it was super good. I liked that our waitress didn’t tell me the specifics (I’m sure she would have if I had inquired further, but I like surprises.) They don’t skimp on the rum.

Thanks need to go to our server and the chef. The bill comes in a hollowed out book—another fun, eclectic touch to set it apart from your normal posh restaurant.

Clearly the best butter I've had since I left France a year ago. The rest was just as good, the service really perfect, you can see that the whole team is kind and attentive to everyone's needs.

I loved the ambiance of this place, everything tasted amazing and the food was immaculate, would definitely come back as a date night!

Atmosphere is amazing, service was top notch, and the food was unforgettable! We had the pleasure of Brittney serving us and from plain conversation to recommendations i will make sure to come back. Even though the rotating menu is on the short side, everything that hit our table was 5star presentation and taste. Thank you again for the great night out, give this place a try!

Have gone here a couple times. They have a great selection of delicious food and the atmosphere is great. Sous Sol is the perfect date spot but it’s also super fun if you wanna just grab some drinks with the girls!

Sous Sol has a really unique vibe (i.e: candles on the tables, decorations, furniture). The servers were friendly but nothing exceptional about the services. They will not check on you or your food after the food came or explain/make suggestions on the menu. We ordered quite a bit of different dishes but the highlight turned out to be the bread and butter. All the appetizers were decent, and the dessert was good. However, we were pretty disappointed with the main since they were too salty. The tenderloin was really juicy/tender/high quality but it was just too salty. However, given this amount of food/drink and the quality of their ingredients, the price is pretty good especially compared to other steakhouses in town (main reasons I gave 4 stars). I don’t think we will come back, but it’s good to try it out at least once. Our bill was about 200$/2person.

We had the best night out in a long time at Sous Sol. The atmosphere is incredible, and our server was the probably the best we've ever had. Everything was top notch quality, from the impressive drink menu, to the amazing food. This place is a gem and we'll definitely be back, thanks for a fun evening Bort!

I really want to write a bad review, because the responses from the owner are a-mazing, but.the meal was so wonderful, I have to speak our truth. This is a great experience in Winnipeg and a wonderful way to end our journey from Quebec to Winnipeg.

Always exceptional. Menu changes so make sure to try everything when you have a chance. I recommend this place whenever people are visiting the city.

Love this place. Scrumptious. Cozy. A true immersive experience. We had bone marrow (delicious!), boar, tenderloin, pickerel, potatoes francoises and goat cheesecake for dessert. I would give this place 10 STARS!

This was extremely underwhelming. I personally even say McDonald’s fries are better than this place. Considering the price of the food, it wasn’t that great in my opinion and the staff not having a specific dress code or attire was disappointing. The music was awful for the atmosphere, it was like music you hear in H&M.

I love how mysterious this place is. The food was top tier and has the ambiance to match. If you can’t find it, you don’t deserve to eat here. It’s all apart of the unique experience. Patrick Bateman would approve.

One of the best meals I've had in recent memory. My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. I highly suggest going at least once if not making this a regular visit.

Ease up on the salt! Make portions worth the price! Get your timing right!

Such a unique restaurant with AMAZING tasting food! I recommend going here on thursdays for their $1.50 oyster night special.many dishes were ordered but my favourites were the duck leg confit and potatoes.the potatoes were something else.so so good. Great ambiance and make sure to reserve.one of my new favourite restaurants.

Awesome time here. The booking process was simple, the wait staff are super attentive, the food was delicious and fast, and they even have a Where's Waldo in the washroom above the urinal. Perfection! Loved it, will definitely return.

I went there for my Birthday with my Wife and Granddaughter.
Our meals and the service was fantastic!

We tried everything from the Bone Marrow to the Boar to Beef Tenderloin to Arctic Char and chicken liver mousse
Everything was wonderful
The side dishes were amazing too!

It was a little hard to find so I guess you could call it a hidden gem.

All in all it was a very amazing evening!

Great taste and interior design. I had 6pc oysters, mussel, beef tenderloin, and grilled zucchini. For the drink, jin&grapefruit thing and passionfruit thing.

Absolutely top notch, one of the best in the city. Every fish dish I've had there is particularly good, but you really can't go wrong with anything.

The service was amazing and friendly. The food was incredible we loved every dish that we ordered.

Love. Been here 3 times in 9 weeks, and each time a success. One way or another, there will be good surprises. Only reason for "bad" review is entirely a preference for either, more sweet, or salty, more of this flavour or that flavour, but it will never detract from the simplicity of the ingredients and yet the beautiful flavours that it allows you to experience. I should describe each foods, but they change their menu constantly, so even if I describe, it'll be hard to experience it.so I don't want to make you all jealous xD.

Either way, their foods and desserts are all worth a try and definitely try Le Jardin in their tea section, a beautiful unique experience the first time I had it! So delicious!

The setting and ambience was victorian-esque and vintage and gothic, and yet some classic childhood memories all around, eg. Disney and Video Tapes xD-definitely every decoration was interesting and stunning!

If I die and go to heaven the food served will be from this restaurant! The Foie Gras was delicious, the duck, potatoes and green beens were amazing. Though the highlight was the bone marrow.who knew you could luge it with bourbon.it was the most spectacular thing I have ever eaten.

More importantly the staff is amazing and friendly. I found out there was a leak in my back yard during dinner. I had to leave for 20/30 minutes and they kept the food warm, did not rush us and were sympathetic to the situation. Best Birthday meal I ever had!

We ordered the New Year's dinner kit and it was delicious. But since we didn't eat immediately after it was cooked, we wanted to dine-in when restrictions eased. The meal exceeded our expectations. If I were to make a criticism, the meringue was a chewy. Our server was delightful and the ambience of the restaurant was cozy. We'll be back!

Excellent food, attentive service, and fantastic cocktails. A party of 6 of us dined out on the patio - everyone enjoyed their meals, from the boar medallions to the bread, foie gras, and other appetizers. Lots of different drinks to try. The indoor atmosphere is also tremendous, though I haven't been inside in some time. One of the better restaurants in Winnipeg - I highly recommend visiting.

Wow! Absolutely one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The vegan tartar is a must. The carrots are incredible. This is only our second of many pick ups but the attention to flavour and detail is wonderful.

The food is amazing. Things I don’t like anywhere else are all of a sudden amazing here. I’m pretty sure the chef is magic. Great cocktails too. But almost every time, the service leaves something to be desired. From rushing us out of a half empty restaurant, to unprofessionalism, and just a lack of extra attention, it leaves what could be one of the most amazing restaurants to just.great.

Always a great place to enjoy some quasi French find dining in a super relaxed atmosphere. Our server was amazing and all the food was really good. Try the beers to share the french one was really good and very strong.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I have had. High quality and a reasonable price. You can tell people who work here are in the business for their love of food and art. Can probably compete with Michelin restaurants.
