Dr. Cruise is awesome. Always goes out of his way to make house calls for our fur babies. Took excellent care of our gentle giant when he passed and made sure everything was taken care of.

Great experience at the South-East Veterinary Hospital! Brought my two dogs in for dental cleaning and Dr Hamilton and their team did an incredible job. Getting the text message updates throughout the day just reiterated that our dogs were being taken care of and very fair pricing compared to the vets in the city. Definitely worth the trip!

South-East Veterinary Hospital is generous and professional in its support of the Steinbach and Area Animal Rescue. Veterinary care is excellent and staff is lovely to deal with.

This is a great place, that care for your animals. I took nine female dogs to get sterilized and was given a discount. One female also needed a small extra surgery, which they did for free. They said they were there anyway. This shows me that the veterinarians are more into taking care of the animal, instead of making money.

More than just a check-up, which was done well, while explaining to me and Henry what she was doing and discovering. More than just the meds provided and patiently explained how best to use them. But also provided suggestions about how I could improve and provide care for my dog. And make suggestions what practoices I could stop or alter.

My puppy was well cared for. The building is nice and professional. My only complaint would be that the staff, though competent enough in their work, were aloof and not very friendly and welcoming.

The staff here are amazing they go above and beyond to try to help you. Definitely the Best Vet clinic in Manitoba!

The staff are fantastic and the prices are fair. Dr. Hamilton is extremely knowledgeable and cared for one of my horses on an emergency call. Another one of the vets filled in for my regular horse vet and the kindness and care was exceptional for a vet who did not know me nor my horse. This clinic now looks after my two dogs and I can not say enough good things about the quality of care they receive.

I appreciated that Dr. Goossen saw my dog in an emergency and was able to provide care right away. I feel there needs to be better communication with clients. Options need to be clearly provided and explained prior to taking the animal into care. Before we left the building there ought to have been an approximate breakdown of what costs would be incurred if we followed the proposed course of action. (At least for what was predicted: Observation overnight, x-ray, shock treatment and anesthetics, sutures, etc.) Clients need to be able to make an informed decision as to how to proceed. In an emergency we are already in a state of shock ourselves and there needs to be extra care given to explain what is happening and what the choices are. I was told on the phone that the up-coming follow-up was included in the initial fees, which was not the case.

When offering options like extra meds/ products etc, it must be clear that you are asking the client to purchase something. Ex: Vet Assistant: "There is a product we sell that can be used to clean the wound. It comes in a gel or spray: the price for each is: _. "
Clients deserve to know what is happening prior to purchase or authorizing a go-ahead. In this case the product was used during the visit and so I felt obliged to purchase it even though I had no idea ahead of time what the cost would be. I understand you are both a service and product business, it seems like this may be creating a conflict of interest in how care is provided.
Dr. Lorne Cruise's follow-up care and communication was excellent.

I've been bringing my dog to South-East Vet since he joined our family 11 1/2 years ago. Have had fantastic service at regularly scheduled appointments as well as timely responses to our more urgent medical needs. He has had surgery several times and we always get a check-in phone call within 48 hours to make sure he is recovering well at home.

Knowledgeable, listens to our concerns, great services and very accommodating. They helped fit in our pup and took great care of her.

They have been very good with our puppies; we have 10 puppies over the years. We get excellent care of them. They are friendly, quick, and reasonably priced.
Last year, we had two of our older dogs pass away, and they were very kind and caring.
