Spring Roll Restaurant

Spring Roll is a diamond in the rough. Been around for decades. It is family run and their food is delicious with fresh ingredients. The menu is affordable. We live their wonton soups, lemon chicken plate.

I've gone several times and can recommend this place! I have gotten it once where it was not that good but it seems to have been a one off.
Definitely recommend the deluxe Wonton soup and the vegan veal.

We have been eating his vegetarian food for over 30 years. By far the best veggie Chinese food in the city.

Very good food! Nice and quiet, service was super fast! The staff working was very nice. Food was brought out to us in 5 minutes or so! The lemon chicken combo was very good! As well as the chow mein! This place is great for a nice quiet lunch or dinner experience, if you get over stimulated easily with noise.

A small but GREAT Chinese restaurant. I had take put for the first time on this occasion. Previously have always ate inside. The food is excellent. The staff are very courteous. I have only chosen from their luncheon menu and would definitely recommend you try anyone of the luncheon selections.enjoy!

This place is the definition of that hole in the wall restaurant! Great prices and even better food. My go to spot for lunch and supper. Fantastic service aswell!

My husband and I love the vegetarian menu here, our favourite in Winnipeg. The owner is very nice and great service. Our favourite dishes are the deep fried mushrooms, wontons with chilli garlic sauce, deluxe wonton soup, vegetarian beef with ginger and onions, deep fried chow mein. Never disappoints!

After reading all the negative reviews I'm very happy that the guy hung up on me when I was simply asking if they would deliver.

The staff was quiet and awkward.but the food was surprisingly good, with good portions and inexpensive.

Best wonton soup in the city. Get a bowl of large deluxe wonton soup.you're welcome.

Daily specials are good too, but I can't resist their soup.

This place is the most disgusting place my friends have ever eaten, they are Chinese food lovers and their visit there was not good. No condiments, or sauses, one napkin to share. Raw Cabbage was the vegetable served to them. When asking for something they were told what they would get and not what they wanted. No milk only pop. When ordering they were told it would take to long to cook so had to have what was offered. VERY DISGUSTED.

Good price if you pay cash. Food is ok.try the "chicken 8 treasures". I remember the food being fantastic a decade ago when it was one of my local "go to" places when I didn't feel like cooking.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Winnipeg for me. The chef has what it takes to cook Chinese dishes.

My boyfriend and I had Spring Roll for dinner the other night and we were both blown away by the amount of vegetarian options there were. The szechuan tofu and vegetarian moo shu were absolutely amazing! Definitely will continue to support Spring Roll and can't wait to try more of their dishes.

My girlfriend & I ordered take-out from them last night. As a vegan, the options on their menu are bananas. Dozens of tofu-based options, not to mention food was excellent + staff was very kind to my girlfriend. Small family business, glad to support local! Will be back in a few weeks:)

COVID ALERT! STAFF DOES NOT WEAR MASKS. Just picked up and order and the cook brought it out not wearing a mask. DO NOT EAT THERE

Ordered for the first time on Friday after work and it was amazing. Best shrimp I've ever had, the batter was wonderful. My husband's vegetarian shrimp were just as good. Huge vegetarian menu with so many amazing options. Looking forward to trying lots of items on both menus in the future.
I read a review complaining that the lunch feature price went up from $6.99 to $8 - please remember that food is going up and businesses/restaurants are struggling. It's a $1 increase. A Big Mac meal costs more.)

Kind of disappointed the price for the lunch specials went up from $6.75-$6.99 a year ago to now $8. Also they stopped serving the few beef strips on the lemon chicken or any special anymore. Still good lemon chicken but price is up for less food. Not sure if it's really a special at $8. Might try it again eventually.

Not as good as I remember.

Ordered the large deluxe wonton and my daughter and I both had to pick out a lot of very fatty pieces of chicken that our dog enjoyed. Really no excuse in serving that.

So many better options out there.

Covid times update: First issue is that if you are looking to pick up your food, you have to bring cash. They have one card machine and it goes with delivery driver. So I had to go into a bank so as not to wildly over-tip when paying. I had not been to an ATM in many months, and did not appreciate having to do so.
As to the food, they might have the best shrimp in town, but neither one of us felt well after our meal and are very unlikely to return.

I ordered food from this place on my birthday and it was very good, the chicken was a bit greasy but besides all of that the food was very great.

Legit I can't think of the last time ordering out where the food amazing, and the portions were huge!

This place has nailed it on the head, great price, awesome food, and awesome portions

Food smelled and tasted good. Ordered take-out. $55.00 worth. Problem is, after we ate, I found a dead bug, looked like a small centipede with feelers and a lot of legs with the packaging the food came in. I will never order there again and may not eat Chinese Food for a long time.

A friend picked up a large order of food from these clowns and walked out of the restaurant. Walked to his car but slipped and fell and all that food landed on him mostly soup. He went back in the restaurant and they laughed at him and made him pay for another order. I will never buy food from that restaurant. Very ignorant people work there. And most restaurants would replace your order even after you were covered in soup and burnt. Shame on the Spring Roll Restaurant. For being so ignorant and laughing at a person covered in soup. Hope he/she sues the restaurant for the very hot soup.

Friendly staff, good food and good value! The included Wonton or Consume soup with individual combo's make them stand out. The lemon chicken is always a hit!

Horrible service, waited over 50 minutes for food and our table wasn't cleaned until 20 minutes after we sat down.

By far one of the best Chinese food restaurants in the city. Lots of beef in my dish and chicken balls was chunks of chicken meat and not processed. Don't believe me, try yourself and you wont be disappointed.
