I was at SCU the other day. I have really bad experience with one of the receptionist. One of the lender left something at lending reception for me to pick up, however when I showed up at lending reception, the black girl did not help, she mentioned there was nothing there without checking. She rolled her eyes on me and her attitude was really bad. I cannot imagine a reception has such bad customer services skills. After I told her to ask the lender to come out. She found my document at lending reception. She did not apologize about her mistake. This is not the first time I had bad experience with her and I am not happy with this experience and SCU at all.

Wanted to open a new account went there at 4.30. Said they can not do it they need at least an hour to do so. Please mention it clearly on website. I just wasted a trip was interested in GIC options. So first experience was this bad going to another institute.

Member service? I have used this branch for over 10 years. When I went in last week to order a new debit card at 10 am on opening, I was second customer and was asked to wait for someone to come help me. It took over 35 minutes for someone to actually come to assist me, even though numerous staff I saw were chatting, checking their phones, drinking coffee. Once someone came over to help me, I got a new card in less than two minutes. I am a client of ACU Sterling Lyon and BMO Bridgewater, and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for customer service. Perhaps SCU is so big now that they have forgotten about their actual members/clients? Would it be useful if management could offer their staff some additional "customer service" training?

Worst receptionist I have ever seen in a bank.

Have a mortgage with SCU, got a mail from them and need to provide a document. So I brought the doc to SCU, talked to the mortgage receipt and oh boy, the receptionist there was eye opening unfriendly and helpless. Feels like I'm not a customer but someone facing a court trial. I mean it's not even a complex thing, just transferring my doc to the mortgage advisor.

Have used other big banks and SCU is definitely the worst one. Really disappointing. Won't do any further business with them.

Tried to just be added to my partners account who is already a member. But they didn’t inform me prior to pulling my credit that you need to be above the a certain credit score to even open a account there… If I would of known that i would of checked before hand and not waste a hour of my time there.

So slow. Omg prepare to spend forever to get some simple things done. They never answer the phone.

Would it be possible for the tellers to work any slower? Or to careless about the length of the queue? Infuriating experience on my last two visits.

Hello SCU, just want to express my frustration with the new mobile banking application. I have multiple bank accounts and was easily able to view transaction history on the old mobile banking platform. However unable to do so since upgraded. I also have my personal banking at couple banks and all have access up to 24 months. Why not SCU?

Recently got the mortgage renewal document from them. On the paper there is an option for one year fixed term and will mature in March 2024. So we chose that one and sent the paper back to mortgage advisor. She never informed me that tha renewral is starting right away. My current mortgage will mature in March 2023. If I knew that starts right away I don't sign the paper. Asked her to hold on to the renewral simply replied me that sent to the second department.
That's very unprofessional and misleading your client.
