My 2 year old son smiled every morning when Peter walked through our door. He always came in with a positive and cheerful attitude. We felt so comfortable having him and the staff here in our home. I have so many great things to say about Peter. He does the job right and even goes above and beyond to make his clients happy with the end results. At the end of each day, they would clean and tidy up.
They did an outstanding job and I am truly pleased with the end results! My home looks fresh and beautiful with our new painted walls! I will definitely recommend Stephen's Edge Painting to our friends, family and whoever needs a great, professional painting company! Thanks again you guys!:)

Stephens Edge was a pleasure to deal with.

He provided us with Benjamin Moore sample colours on our walls so we could have a preview before we went ahead with the colours. The finished job was amazing and the service provided was outstanding.

I enthusiastically recommend Stephen’s Edge Painting. The owner Pete went well above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the results. We had them paint the exterior of our home, an old style elaborately coved living room ceiling, a large outdoor wood deck and indoor gazebo floor. We were very pleased with the results with all 3 projects. The deck was a challenge as it had been painted over several times and was peeling and fading badly. A real eyesore. Pete explained how stain was the only solution. After extensive sanding a stain was applied to remarkable results. Our 20 year old deck now looks new! Excellent work and reasonable prices. Pete is a pleasure to work with.

Stephen and his colleagues just fished their painting work in our store. They are nice, efficiency, and professional. For sure they did perfect at the end. Absolutely highly recommend them!

I'm sorry to have to give this review, however I would've appreciated knowing this before hiring as I did so based on the great reviews here.
Pretty disorganized. Forgets what was talked about and doesn't reference the quote given for the job. (the kitchen was forgotten until they were reminded).
Paint on wood banister even after final touches. I found paint splatters on my linoleum when I mopped afterward. Just sloppy and attention to detail was lackluster for hiring a professional.
We were told that they triple-check their work, but I had to point out really obvious things that needed touching up. (paint on the trim, banister, and part of the wall that was missed)
After 8 days I just wanted the job completed. Especially when it was said on day 3 that they were pretty much done. I knew I could remove the paint myself in less time. Which I did with rubbing alcohol.
On a positive note, Miguel who painted the kitchen did a really great job. He painted it in 1 day. He was clean, professional, and really friendly.edit: The paint on the banister was not there prior to the job. The house was painted 7+ years ago and paint would not come off easily with alcohol if it was. The paint is the exact same colour that was painted and not the original. Pictures included.

Professional and humorous. Pete knows his craft, and is the most experienced painter I know. Would recommend his company to anyone looking for a quality paint job!

I wish I could write a more positive review for Stephen's Edge Painting because we really liked Pete when we met him. After finishing our house build, the plan was for my husband and I to do the painting ourselves, but after realizing it was going to take us too long, we contacted a couple of painters to get quotes. We liked Pete immediately but ultimately chose him because he could get it done quickly. However, his subcontractors rarely showed up when they were supposed to and our job took weeks longer than we were told it would; more than once, Pete was surprised to hear that the painters hadn't been there. Our kitchen install was delayed twice because the paint wasn't done. I think that they did a decent job, however they stacked the doors too soon after painting and caused quite a few marks/peeling. For the "touch up" day, we identified several areas needing fixes, as instructed by Pete, including some instances where the painter's tape peeled the paint off. The guy fixed maybe a third of the areas that were marked, and then he left without saying anything (we were there at the time) and never came back. We withheld $300 from our invoice, saying we would pay the balance when the touch-ups were completed, and never got a response from Pete. What's more, after we moved into the house, we realized we have white paint sprayed ALL over our windows.

Amazing work! I hired Stephen’s Edge to paint accent walls, bedrooms and our basement rec room. Their attention to detail and high quality work was what impressed me the most. The service throughout was exemplary and price was very reasonable, especially compared to some of the other quotes I received for the same work. Highly recommend!

Had Pete and his crew paint a few rooms in my condo. The job looks amazing. They cleaned up everyday, It’s like they were never here.

Excellent quality, care, and customer service. Pete and his team communicated well on timing and scope of work and delivered everything we asked. Our basement walls were rough and not fun to look at from the previous owner's splash and dash, now they are bright and smooth, very inviting for future guests in out home.

Needed exterior of house painted. Filled out their online request form for an estimate and never was contacted by anyone.

What can I say? It was just a great all-round experience. The team were personable and like-able. The process was so easy and the quality was as hoped for. They patched nasty areas on the fly, and fixed a lot of previous painting mishaps (whoops!). Just a great experience and the cheapest of our 3 quotes with the best reviews so it was an easy choice to go with Pete and his crew.

We originally hired Stephen’s edge to paint our master bedroom. We were getting ready to sell and had a very tight window of time before listing. Before they arrived, we asked them if they could paint out a feature wall in our family room that was orange. Once they had done that, we were so impressed with their work and how much better it looked, that we asked them to paint pretty much the rest of the main floor. We were getting ready to sell and had a very tight window of time. They got together a small army of guys to make it happen, were back in two days, and finished within a few days. They were very professional, very friendly, patched everything that we needed and did an excellent job. They even went through the entire house the day after finishing to make sure we were satisfied and do any touchups that were needed. I can’t thank them enough, because our house showed so well, it sold the day it got listed on MLS! I believe the fresh, neutral paint job was one of the reasons our house sold so quickly! I will definitely hire Stephen’s Edge again!

I cannot recommend. Discussed the job expectations in detail regarding crack repairs first, pointing out plaster flaws to cover before painting Agreed on 2 coats and which cracks etc and instructions were not at all followed as agreed upon. Needed to hire another painter who honored his word and did the job right. Found Stephen to be deceptive. He presents himself one way before the job and another way after.

I'm sure he will have a rude and unprofessional reply as you can see he has made for each negative review here vs addressing customer concerns in earnest. Very unfortunate. Not an ideal way to conduct business. Disrespectful manner. This is not a person concerned with consumer feedback. Just ego and appearances.

As a custom home builder in Winnipeg there's no company I trust more with my painting process then Stephen's Edge! Pete KNOWS paint, he's been in the business for many years and has it down to a science. Very nice and out going guys, putting in the extra effort to make sure things look perfect! They even worked over the weekend to get my house done asap for me. My new GO TO guys!

I enlisted Pete from Stephen’s Edge to some difficult painting at my parents’ house. Pete provided advice in advance, gave me an accurate and very reasonable estimate, and did the work with a high degree of skill. I was very pleased with the results. I’ve found my new “go to” painting company.

Can't be a real contractor.showed up repeatedly on time when he said he would.quoted in a couple days.final bill was per quote.went out of his way to finish 1 room 1st to enable other reno to continue. Matched exist wall colour very well (obsolete formula that he liked as well!) Was pleased w/his crew, for workmanship & discussing what was needed/wanted. Would have no hesitation in using him again.
