Absolutely delicious and lush food. Fried rice is amazing! BBQ duck, Szechuan beef with veggies, sweet and sour prawns as they fry the prawns in a batter first, flavourful, excellent dishes. Hong Kong style black tea with milk is also very good. Would recommend 100%

I like most of the food - but I have been served rotten shrimp dumplings twice. If you have their turnover that is poor food handling.

Had half a bbq duck with rice and soup. The duck was 9/10, I think it was re-fried hence a little bit dry, just a little bit. But still very tasty.

Authentic southern Chinese cuisine! Slightly on the pricey side but worth it. I love the eggplant with mined pork dish!

The best restaurant in Winnipeg for Chinese food. Service is always quick and friendly. Food is fresh and amazing. Been eating here over 25 years!

After a few days of running around getting stuff and organizing the new place, I finally got a chance to check out the new neighbourhood’s restaurants.

1st stop was the Sun Fortune Restaurant.

This restaurant has been around for many years now and was packed when we went there without a reservation. However, the nice lady at the reception was nice enough to accommodate us.

The place was your typical nondescript Chinese restaurant - no fuss, simply decorated joint. Prices were a little high for the small servings (smaller than I’m used to back in Calgary) but the real attractions were the amazing quality of food!

We ordered:
*** Cantonese Chow Mein - 9/10!
*** Crispy Pork Chop Topped with Dried Garlic - 9/10!
*** Deluxe Fried Rice - 9/10!
*** Deluxe Chop Suey - 7/10
*** Steamed Fish Fillet with Tofu - 10/10!
*** Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - 8/10

This place is highly recommended and will definitely be one of my go-to-places if I decided to move in the city permanently.

Always go here for family birthdays.

Highly recommend the Peking Duck, HK Milk Tea Tea, Spicy Pork Eggplant and Spicy Beef Tendon Hot Pot. Some days the food is too salty, so it is not always consistent. Service is good except from two visits, one of the servers demanded tip before we even got a chance to put tip on the table, it was quite rude.

We have been long time patrons and fans of Sun Fortune. We had take out soup for the first time in a few months. The quality was excellent as expected but the serving size was pitiful while the price was high. An $11 bowl of soup amounted to 2 tiny bowls. Will try again for eat in when they open but would not recommend takeout unless you want to spend lots of $$$$

Amazing food. This restaurant is simply a hidden gem. Do book reservation ahead of the time as everyone wants to eat there.

Brought out of town family in. Always our go to for great Chinese food and Peking duck! Friendly quick service and the food never disappoints!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY POOR AND RUDE. When we came in and asked if we can sit, she rudely asked us to step back and wait. The food is not that good compared to other Chinese restaurants, small portions, I can even smell the meat, they are not fresh. The waitress told us to tip even though we refused due to the bad experience there. But she was laughing at us and told us we need to tip them next time. She kept talking about running the restaurant nowadays and scoff at us not tipping. They act so cheaply:) Not comfortable being here and WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. There are many options out there don't go here, guys

Subpar food, rude service. You're not welcome in this restaurant.
We didn't have a good time so we refused to tip. The servant mocked us for not tipping. And kept saying we must tip next time she even rant about maintaining a restaurant is hard:)

Our favorite takeout source in the city. Best value for the quantity and quality of food. Make sure you call early (a couple hours ahead on weekends) because they get busy and don't compromise on quality for speed. The selection is broad and very authentic. The staff is very forthcoming and helpful.

Never once i went to this restaurant and its open. Last year they were take out only even though all restaurants opened up for business post covid. Today they are closed 12: 00-4 pm. Pickup only. What kind of a restaurant is this thats always closed.
