I had a great and wonderful experience with these amazing staff with Ashdeep Puneet and Ginny. And I would highly recommends surplus furniture to my family relatives and friends.

Recently bought a lather sofa from them, and their services are really good. Tried and tested shop for food furniture.

Horrible business, Terrible customer service, and very aggressive sales people. I’ve been in sales for more than 10 years and not once have I ever done something so rude to a customer. I purchased a large sectional from this business and I let the sales person know I needed one week to make space in my living room. It was set to be delivered and I had made a deposit on the purchase. I got a call later that week informing me that the sales person had sold the couch that I bought to someone else! Never in all my years have I been so greatly disrespected by a business, now my living room is empty and their solution was just to offer me a refund. Highly recommend you stay away from these aggressive, dishonest and disrespectful sales people.

Bought a mattress from here, prices are not expensive but not cheap either but quality is good. The service staff was very helpful, special thanks to Mehek to help me with my purchase.

Bought a new sofa last week and Had a problem with one of my cushion. Manager Harsh personally take care of my problem and within one week solve my problem also instead of placing old cushion he gave me brand new extra cushion. Highly recommend to go on this store

Early in the week, we had gone to the Nairn Avenue location and managed to find a sofa and loveseat that we liked. We purchased them and had them delivered to our house. Then we realized that we hadn't measured our living room as well as we thought. We decided we wanted to keep the sofa but the loveseat wouldn't work space-wise. We called the manager, Richard, who was able to help us out and exchange the loveseat for a mattress. Richard, and subsequently the staff at the St James location, went above and beyond to help us out. Highly recommend this business when you're looking for furniture!

Very friendly staff Harsh, Anmolpreet, Gurjit. I was unable to pick up my order due to some personal issues but they’ve been very accommodating and help me out. They’ve assisted me and they are all very pleasant.

Customer service is not so good. The guys they have to load your furniture and tie it down have no clue how to do either of those. My king size mattress flew off back of my truck driving down fermor during rush hour traffic. I asked the guys loading my bed if it was secure as I was from out of the city.he said they would put couple more wraps with their twine. The salesman gave a 'oh sorry about that' no big deal.manager didn't care either.many cars had to swerve to miss it and unbelievable there was no accident caused. Furniture surplus not take responsibility for this and city police don't care either. You will be held at fault for furniture not being secure not surplus furniture.so be very careful as surplus furniture isn't and doesn't care if they cause an accident. Will not shop here again.

Staff was very friendly, outgoing and informative. Got what I was looking, with payment options.

We have bought 3 couches with 5 years extended warranty,
Within 2 years couches are peeling off, I have contacted store and thier Facebook page, they give me a phone number to call, when I called them they said they will get back to me, it might be longer because of covid-19 pandemic, after 4 months I have contacted them again, they gave me a site to claim it there, I claimed it there and now they emailed me saying they won't cover the warranty because I did not claimed it within 30 days of damage or peeling off.
I m very disappointed. I will never buy anything from these scammer anymore,
I have also send them the screenhots of Facebook and my phone calls which was 5 months ago, they never got back to me.

This is the best place to be. Amazing prices, Amazing Quality and Absolutely amazing Customer service. First time customer and they now have me as a life time customer. This is the place to shop on a budget but you feel like a Queen or King shopping. Harsh was my staff help who is assistant manager. Thanks Sir plus furniture. You are all amazing behind the counter as well. Same day purchase and same day take home. Wow, amazing. Come by soon to grab the deals cause they go fast.

Enjoyed the opportunity to purchase a few items here. Salesman wanted us to walk out happy. He didn't disappoint.

I went shopping with my aunt to get her a new couch and loveseat set. We were greeted by salesperson Ash, who was incredibly helpful and made very useful suggestions. We also were able to coordinate a new end table into their incredible deal that they had going on, so this is definitely a place for great value, great customer service, and excellent selection.

Worst customer service ever, the delivery driver was terrible, careless with the furniture, extremely lazy (left all the garbage and unwrapping in the house, refused to remove it when asked.), the guy was also very dirty and tracked mud throughout the home. Worst furniture purchase experience I have ever had in Winnipeg. Do yourself a favor and give your money to a company that wants your business. Surplus freight should be ashamed of how they treat customers. Unfortunately I have to give them 1 star to post my warning to others but they are not worth that high a rating.

Person I took managed to get a good deal. Nice people. Clean store. Loaded stuff right in truck and managed to get few extras out purchase.

I went to surplus furniture at st james location like a couple of days ago and there was this employee name ashdeep i think he was assistant manager there and he don't even have the manners to deal with customers and he was so rude and in appropriate, i would recommend not to go in that store if you see that guy in there

Went to purchase a sectional and found one with a decent price. I went to go buy and there like the sale ended it's the wrong price. I will not go there again

My roommate and I visited Surplus Furniture and Mattress Warehouse on St. James after seeing their flyer advertisement. We were greeted pleasantly upon entering by Riley W who then explained the details on the items we saw on the flyer. He showed us all of our options and explained everything in clear detail.
We are extremely pleased with the out come of our trip to their store and will be taking home a lovely living room furniture set in the coming days and weeks. I would recommend their store and team to anyone I know looking for new living room furniture, and other rooms as well! Great selections available for all areas of the home.

We were treated very well from start to finish. Attentive service but not intrusive. They gave us time to compare prices and explained all charges and discounts. Would return and would recommend.

Awesome customer service and all our questions received very quick responses from our salesperson, Richard. We found immediately what we need to buy and our questions were answered quickly and clearly and the quality of the mattress is superb!

Went in for a Mattress and box spring. Was expecting to pick one and have them deliver it, but they tied it to the roof of my vehicle for free. Doing some more refurnishing soon and will definitely consider coming back!

Not happy with my purchase at the Nairn location. Double mattress was a lot smaller than expected. My feet almost touch the end of the bed. The monarch platform bed frame does not have enough slats and support for weight capacity. I was told in store the bed would have full slats. The bed bug protector cover does not fit my double mattress. It is way too big

Was greeted outside and again once I walked in, with prompt friendly service. Told the salesman what I was looking for, he had showed me a few bedroom sets but they were out of my price range. Salesman had met my budget & was able to get what I needed! Highly recommend this place!

I went into surplus with lots of anxiety but the staff there were really helpful and not over whelming. They gave me my space to explore the store and find something I like.

Great experience! Staff recognized my father as someone who's been there a few times and welcomed us warmly. We were helped immediately upon walking in and our sales person, Russian, listened attentively to what we wanted before giving us a few suggestions and advice. I was really happy with the cost of my new bed and the sheets he suggested I add! I will recommend this place to others for sure! Thank-you, Russian!

Very warm welcome from ALL staff, not pushy at all. ALL thoroughly knowledgeable and helpful not the least pushy. Was incredibly impressed that item was in stock and delivered a couple hours later. All staff said good bye when I left, and this evening received a phone call thanking me for my business and asked if I had a good experience and was happy with my purchase - I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE and would definitely recommend SURPLUS Furniture and most certainly I will be going back!
