Had a great experience here in Surplus. Bharat and Harshit really helped me to decide on what to purchase. Bought a new couch and i really like it. Customer service is excellent!

Salesman, Bharat was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were so pleased with our purchase and experience earlier this week that I took my elderly mother to buy new couches. She was very pleased with the quality as a former worker in furniture production. Pricing was very reasonable and customer service even better as a repeat customer.

The furniture is garbage! Everything breaks! And you spend all this money on stuff you just want to throw out after a couple of months! Go anywhere else!

I purchased a mattress and recliner for my mother. It was a slight glitch with the power mechanism in the recliner, but Richard, the store manager, went above and beyond, and had a new recliner, delivered within a day. As I couldn’t be there to help my mother package up the old one and set up, Richard had the drivers do everything for her. Fantastic customer service. Will definitely recommend.

DO NOT use their Narin Ave Winnipeg delivery team. Horrible delivery company. I had a 5-9pm delivery window and they showed up at 11pm. No phone call to tell me they were delayed. Only reason they told me when they did show up was its a long weekend and we had alot of deliveries. Not my problem. When they showed up, moving couch into my house they almost broke my storm door. Then they refused to unpack and take away garbage which I paid for and was on their work order to do. I called store several times since Sat night and to date have not received ONE phone call from store acknowledging this situation. NOT a future customer. Buyer beware.

We had great service today. We originally went to the St James location & the service was nothing compared to what we received today. Regine (Jennie) & Richard really helped us out! We'd been in need of a new couch & received the best service we'd gotten at any furniture store. Definitely recommend! Quick and affordable delicery. Also received a call to thank us for our business same day.

I could have given 0 star if I could really! By the time you enter the store, the sale person with get a magnet activated & they just try to stick behind you. Even though they have put on big yellow price displays & details, they just come to you and tell you prices. And if you say that yeah I can read & will let you know if there’s any question. They won’t understand that, instead they will just explain why they are telling the prices, as if you cannot read there big yellow display thingies. And then another sales person will start to yell from the other end to support the sales person. They don’t understand that customer will first see, compare & then decide where to buy. And they don’t have respect for their customers at all. They are only concerned about their sales. They don’t care if the customer feels uncomfortable when they just follow you with a board in their hands while you are looking around.

Hands down the best place in town to buy beds, sofas, and general furniture for your household with affordable prices! They have a big selection of everything they sell from bedroom sets, sofas, tv stands just to name a few. I went there to buy a bedroom set, the price was great, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly! They offered same day delivery as well! They have an awesome owner! Who's running an awesome store!

We went here to purchase some matching bedside tables for our bedframe. Staff working were quick to serve, check stock and load up product. Was in and out quickly. Very friendly and helpful. Showroom was laid out with lots of products and easy to view items available. I will definitely shop here again in the future!

Excellent customer service experience & we got really good deal on our furniture & delivery guys (Sunny Movers) was really helpful they did there really good job I'm happy with them.

They partner with shady crooks like sunny movers winnipeg, they took a deposit from us and never showed up on the moving day and now we have to look for another mover, pls be carefull with this store.they partner with number one con artist in winnipeg sunny movers.your furniture would disappear for sure.

Very poor and bad service! Have had nothing but problems getting my couch replaced due to leather coming off the seat. I paid into a 10 year warranty which was declined and the DSM told me he would take care of it! More then 4 months later I’m having to chase them to find out where my claim stands, now being told I have to pay over $700 for a replacement which was never said in all the other calls that I’ve had with him! This is the second couch that’s had issues and hasn’t lasted more then 3 years before falling apart! $2500 down the drain!

For sure you will find best prices for all the items here, but you get what you paid for. I brought the sofa from this place which didn't last even 2 years off course with an additional warranty which was complete rip of too.

I purchased a double mattress with box spring as well as the monarch platform bed frame with headboard at the Nairn location. Decent price. The worker was very helpful and friendly but lacked knowledge in the industry. The worker lifted the floor model mattress and box spring so I could see the platform bed support system since weight capacity was my main concern. The platrorm bed had continuous slats from top to bottom. When my purchase arrived I assembled the platform bed and only had four support bars. Now I don't feel safe with the box spring and mattress on the platform bed frame?
The double bed I purchased feels more like a twin because my feet touch the bottom of the bed. I also purchased the double bed bug protector which is way too big for the double mattress. So overall I am not happy with my purchases because I can't use them as expected.

Bought their "top of the line Ashley leather reclining sofa and loveseat" about a year ago. The right side seat on loveseat has almost completely disintegrated into nothing. Reached out to manager for assistance and he told my wife to send him an email. We did that and he didn't even bother emailing back. Terrible after sale service in my opinion. My friend texted me yesterday saying he was in there with his dad to buy something and i quickly called him and told him my experience. They left without buying anything. When you spend the type of money we did, there should be no hesitation in replacing a faulty product.

! Update! - District Manager was the most unhelpful, uncaring person I've ever dealt with. Provided zero solutions although I provided alternatives. Best I was offered was a store credit for the amount it would cost me to fix the furniture myself. Why would I want a credit from a store that has such poor customer service? I am certain you will never get any business from my family and friends again. Shameful display of customer service.

The sales people were great and we were very happy with the sectional we bought - good quality and a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, the delivery people were terrible. They refused to move the sectional into our house unless we paid them extra in cash. Very incompetent and unprofessional. They ended up leaving it on our back deck and we had to move it inside ourselves.

Seemed like nobody knew what was going on could not find the items I ordered and just an around bad experience

I went to Surplus Furniture with my niece who just moved to Winnipeg and was looking to furnish her new apartment. Surplus had a large selection of couches and dining tables that were really reasonably priced. Highly recommend this furniture store!

I got my bedframe and mattress set here. Customer service is great. Staffs are great. Did not push me to buy anything I didn't need. Delivery guys are nice too. Very respectful. Took off shoes in my home.
