T & T Soils

Buyer beware, do not purchase soils to add to your gardens!

I bought “organic” compost at the beginning of this summer. It took me a little over a month to finally getting around to putting it in my gardens. This is by far the worst mix I have ever purchased.

I found old oil bottles, a ton of glass, a bunch of other assorted plastic, huge amount of rocks, tie wraps, rope, metal screws, dozens of cigarette butts, rusted nails and an assortment of other things I would never want in my organic gardens.

I still have 3/4 of the “24” yards I purchased for just under 800$ delivered to my place. It was a waste of money. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to get soil for your garden.

This place has great customer service and they work with you on measurement and they are spot on. They have great selection and good packaging. If you need a small package of lots they have something for you.

Had a load of half compost and half 3 way soil delivered today. Let them know when I ordered that it wasn't a split load and it was ok to load them both together as they were going to be mixed for use in a garden anyway.

They went above and beyond and mix them prior to loading, saving me the extra time and effort.

Material is excellent quality. I'm a very happy customer who will definitely order again.

Not sure what to say, I have ordered here in the past never a problem but this time 5 yards 3 way mix is just full of rock, stix and what seems to be burlap. Attached photo of what I picked out this morning after spread on lawn, pulled about same if not more yesterday and rocks the size of my fist. A little worried about mowing in future.

Service was very fast - we got our soil next day. Communication and customer service was great!

Im so sad i went to work for this company me and my friend we did piece work filling up bags of sand and soil 5 hours each day they dont even want to pay us for what we worked i done a good job for them they cant even pay me u owe me and my friend 250$ each it was hard labour work outside in the heat its bean a month now no pay i knoe it was just temp work but i juss wanted to help this company fill there order so sad pay your workers t n t soils please Brian

Friendly office staff, delivery drivers, and equipment operators. Very high quality products. I have picked up several yards of 1/4 down and top soil this season and I have never been shorted. A yard is a yard. Every time. Highly recommend.

Needed some sand for my kids sandbox. I had checked out a few other places before stopping at T&T. They're sand was by far the nicest.really fine.awesome for digging in and easy to sculpt. Best part of all they delivered it an hour after I ordered.

Were quick to deliver and have no complaints on the product, but I was charged an extra $50 than what was agreed to on the phone and T&T Soils was only willing to give a partial reimbursement of the extra charge when I called to dispute it. Afterwards I noticed that what I had agreed to on the phone when I had originally placed the order didn't add up either. Receipt I got from the driver says I was charged $11.20 for GST and $1.12 for PST.

Edit: In reply to owner, I understood what you were saying about an additional $20.00 loading fee, but that was not communicated when I had placed the order. If a mistake is made on the original call, I expect someone to call me to discuss the new charges rather than finding out about them the delivery slip. Just a FYI, if I'm only getting charged PST on the product the PST would work out to (22*4 + 15.93) *0.07 = $7.28. GST should be (22*4+15.93+50+20) *0.05 = $8.70. When adding the delivery fee and the loading charge (that was not originally communicated to me), you've still overcharged me by $16.34 after the $30 credit that was issued. Not going to lose sleep over this, but I'm disappointed in how this has been handled.

Was driving up Lagimodiere Blv.on Friday May 7 at 12.37 and as I was approaching the access road to T and T Soils I could see one of their dump trucks approaching the Lagimodiere Blv. He seemed to be moving fairly fast but I thought, surely he must going to slow down. No he did but instead accelerated in front of me and crossed 2 lanes to turn left. When he turned onto Lagimodiere Blv.he kicked up a large cloud of dust and my visibility was greatly reduced and had to brake hard account I was not sure where he was. The driver should be talked to as this is not good advertising for this company. I am looking at several landscaping projects this year and will certainly scratch T and T off my list of suppliers for soil and gravel. If I could give zero stars I would.

Quality service and products! Lady on the phone was friendly and very helpful. The delivery was right on time and the driver friendly, knowledgeable and the gentleman was a pro! He was able to dump the stone so precisely the guy could be a surgeon! Thanks again guys!

Very convenient especially for those living in Southdale, Sage Creek and Island Lakes. The ladies at the front are very friendly and helpful.

Staff was nice, loaded 1/4 down in the trailer quickly. The business is easily accessible from the highway.

Never go there Sunday even if they say they are open chances are they will be closed was there just after 1 pm and closed

Amazing service and product
We ordered three yards of soil for my elderly mother. The driver was extremely accommodating! He backed up down a tight small backlane and dumped it as closely as he could for her, even had to shovel out the back a bit as there was a telephone line overhead. I believe his name was Henry. Thank you ever so much T & T Soils!

Great service right on time, order taker very friendly a pleasure to deal with, ordered 3 yards top soil, does not look like I got 3yards looks more like 2 yards, not sure if I would re order from T+T, sorry.

Needed half a yard 1/4 down. Paid and loaded in under 2 minutes on a Saturday midday. Was impressive to watch them radio the front end loader and have it in my truck in under 2 minutes. I'm used to waiting around everywhere else.

Had TNT deliver 4 yrds of 1/4 the pile was clean and perfectly placed, made the job alot easier. Highly reccomend tnt

Freindly service, very accommodating to our schedules. Driver was great, placed soil exactly where we needed to work most efficiently. And the three way mixed top dressing was the cleanest soil we have ever had delivered. No garbage, very minimal stick and rocks. DEFINITELY will be ordering from The&T again. OH.they were 80 dollars less expensive than a local company five kilometres away, and T&T is located over 15 kilometres away.

About a month ago, I arranged delivery of 3 yards of 3-way soil from a very nice woman in the office. The driver was polite, on time, very accommodating of my specific drop-off requests, and the amount I received was at least 3 yards (maybe even more). The customer service was top notch. Unfortunately, the product itself was not great. It’s by far the weediest soil I have received from any of the major companies in the Winnipeg area. I used it to top up my veggie garden beds and now I’m spending an hour a night pulling weeds. Maybe their other mixes are better.

We ordered 2 yards of topsoil 1 hour ago. It has already been delivered! We are so impressed with the great service! We will definitely be ordering more of all things garden from T&T!

Bad customer service. I have called twice to find out about soil prices and delivery and received no phone call back
