Tallpine Lodges - Your Romantic Getaway in the Whiteshell

The perfect getaway, absolutely amazing cabin! We stayed in Superior Chalet 6 it was very clean, cozy and modern. Everything we needed was available. Upon check in the staff were super friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the book in the cabin showing the area and hiking trails near by! The back of the cabin faces tall beautiful spruce trees that create the perfect scenic backdrop while relaxing in the jacuzzi. Highly recommend Tall Pines for a lovely comfortable, relaxing get away! We will definitely be back:)

Very nice location super close to the lake. Super friendly and helpful staff and fantastic room I would just recommend having some kind of floor Matt for the indoor hot tub and the air conditioning cant really keep up with cooling the room even thou we didn't even have the water or anything warm on in the room. Else it is an excellent experience.

Oh man! My wife and I were lucky enough to spend our 6-year wedding anniversary here this past weekend and it was phenomenal. We hadn’t had any time to ourselves and were struggling with the everyday stressors of life like our kids, bills, and work. Tall pine was the perfect place to unplug from all stressors and reconnect with each other. Beautiful scenery with amazing outdoor activities to do. The cabin itself was perfect with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing weekend. Honestly it was such a great time me and my wife are trying to plan a winter get away to experience it in the winter. The owners were super kind and helpful and personable. The experience was even better than I could have expected. Can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely love it here. We have come back every year for the past 7 years. We love the cabins with their saunas and jacuzzi tubs. We love the privacy, the deer. It's amazing. We will continue to come back every year for as long as we can.

Nice little getaway if you're looking for good value and somewhere still close to the city. The cabin itself was clean and spacious and was a nice touch to have an indoor sauna and jacuzzi tub. We loved being able to see so many deer wandering around the place! The only problem we had was that since we went during the winter season, everything except for 1 restaurant and gas station is open in West Hawk Lake. For anything else, you would have to drive to Falcon Lake or Kenora. Otherwise, it's a really nice place!

My fiancé and I stayed at Tallpine lodges for the weekend and it was awesome! Beautiful location with deer walking right up to you and birds all around. The cabin was very comfortable. We will 100% be returning!

We loved it. We had "techy" problems and the managers were a great help. The place was clean and cozy, plus the weather was wonderful. Recommend this romantic getaway to all.

We stayed at Tall Pines in fall of 2021 and had a good experience. The cabins are decent and location was near lots of great hiking, which is what we were looking for. Honestly for the price you pay everything was a tad on the "cheap" side. It was clear that utensils, linen, kitchenware etc.are not a priority investment, although that is somewhat expected in a place like this. All that to say for a night or two, this was a fine place to stay with some nice amenities.
The reason I'm giving Tall Pines two stars is that we had hoped to return for a repeat visit in fall of 2022 and on the morning we planned to head out, I woke up unexpectedly and extremely ill. My partner called immediately to let them know we would not be able to make it for our reservation and was told that the person on the phone didn't handle these things and would have someone else call us back. We never received a call back to discuss this and were simply charged on our credit card for the weekend we did not get to have. I recognize that this is well within the agreement when a deposit is paid for the reservation. I am disappointed though that there was no call to discuss alternate options or a recognition of extenuating circumstances. A return phone call is basic customer service even if the results are the same.
We had hoped to continue to return to Tall Pines through the years and had we received the promised call back with some level of consideration for unexpected and extenuating circumstances we would have considered Tall Pines as a place to stay for many years in the future. However this lack of simple customer service on a small scale shows me that this is not a business I am inclined to continue supporting.

Our first visit to Tall Pines Lodge was excellent. There is lots to do around the cabins and hiking trails near by.
The cabin was clean and well organized. We loved the barbecue but if we were staying for a winter weekend it would be nice to have an indoor oven.

We came here for our honeymoon, and we were not disappointed! The woman who helped us through the week was so kind and helpful, the cabin was very clean and welcoming, and we loved that bikes and canoes were avaliable for use whenever! We made many good memories and definitely plan on coming back! The only thing we missed was a fire pit, but we assumed that they probably had good reasons to do without. We have absolutely no complaints. Thank you Tallpine Lodges, and see you again!

Anyone who comes here and complains obviously didn't bother to look at the website or has never left the city. There's absolutely nothing bad to say! The cabins are just like they are shown in the photos and all amenities are listed. I even managed to do my own dishes and lived to write a review! Definitely recommend this place as a getaway, in any season.

Fantastic place to go with significant other, they supply you with everything you need, other than food. You can borrow movies to watch for free, and you can borrow a kayak for no extra coat. Will definitely be returning.

Found out about this place last year and have been back twice. Super cozy and a great place to relax.especially in the winter.

The staff are very friendly and ready to help with anything, the cabin was cozy and perfect for a couples getaway. The bath salts they sell for the Jacuzzi tub was so relaxing and gentle on my sensitive skin. We got some anniversary chocolates too and they were divine, very nice flavour and not overly sweet. We had an amazing time and are looking forward to coming back, definitely recommending this place to all our couples friends.:)

This place is paradise in Manitoba! We just spent the last weekend there again for the 3rd time and it did not disappoint. The owners are super friendly and the cabins are perfect! 110% recommend Tallpine Lodges!

Just spent two nights at Tallpine lodges cabin 11 and was enjoying myself until late the first night when sitting in the jacuzzi tub an ant crawled out of a hole in the tub. Sufficiently grossed out that ended the rest of the use of the tub for us. Over the next day and a half we proceeded to find numerous ants crawling throughout the cabin. When I called to inform them her response was "yeah we get those sometimes" so clearly this is a known issue they haven't dealt with. I might have been more understanding if this was summer but in -29 weather I wouldn't expect to have to stay in a cabin crawling with bugs. They offered to spray the cabin but we didn't want to have to sit in a stinky chemical smell for the remainer of our stay so I advised they should do so after we left. When checking out no apologies or offers of discounts were made only a joking comment that they would "have to see what's crawling around in there". I'm not an overly picky person but if you know you have a bug problem you should deal with it before you rent it out to people. When I pay good money for a cabin I expect it to be clean and not have to worry about bring bugs home to our house or having to put all our food away so bugs don't get into it. Highly disappointed in the handling of this issue.

Cabin was very cute! Relaxing getaway! Took advantage of the private sauna and jacuzzi tub to the max! Having access to their DVD library was awesome on the deep cold days where you need to hunker down. Local wild life a wonderful sight to see.

WHAT A LOVELY place to go relax at! I have been wanting to stay at Tallpine for some time now, and figured my husband's birthday was the perfect time. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin with its beautiful decor (the furniture was absolutely stunning!). The kitchen had all we needed in it, as well as a bbq outside (we were impressed that the electric lighter even worked!)
The jacuzzi was nice and large, and the king bed was great too (the bed was a bit firm for me, but hey, everyone has their own preferences for that!) Everything was immaculately clean. Sacha was super friendly. Another neat find were the super friendly deer! I've never been so close to deer before! They truly are beautiful creatures.
Thank you TJ and Sacha for a wonderful experience. We were so relaxed just after one night stay with you guys.

As our year come to an end may we all count our blessing in this trying year. Thank You Tall Pines. For making our year of 2020 more forgiving in our pandemic time. All the best to the owners and staffers for such a demanding year.

Greta place to get away. I can’t get over the amount of stress from our lives that disappeared during our stay here. The cabin was clean and the staff were very friendly. Definitely coming back soon and will recommend this place to my coworkers. Thanks for such a wonderful disconnect from the real world. The deer peaking in through the windows was funny and also a delight. Loved it!

Tallpine Lodges continues to be one of the best managed and most impressive getaway destinations in Manitoba.

Winter offers so many activities. Snow shoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, snowmobile trails or you can just hunker down in your private chalet, sip a hot beverage and enjoy a sauna or hot tub.

After 14 visits, Tallpine Lodges just continues to offer the perfect balance of relaxing moments and fun.

My husband and I spent a week at tall pines this summer for our honeymoon as there was no traveling this summer with Covid, even if we could have gone else where- I wouldn’t have wanted to! It was a beautiful spot, lots of wildlife to view from our cozy cabin, a quick walk to the beach and local eats, and a lovely clean place overall. I love the tub, the sauna and the fireplace. It was perfect. Thank you Tallpine! We can’t wait to go back!

Update:
We spent our first Christmas married here, it was absolutely perfect. Though it was bitter cold and we opted not to snowshoe or cross country ski, we were able to enjoy all the comfort of cozy in cabin style and we even brought some decorations to keep in the spirit. The lodge is my favourite getaway in Manitoba, thank you Tallpine for being the bright spots in a very weird year!

Second time here. Did a small hike on the Dragon Fire trail.very nice view. Plan to make this a yearly stay cation for our anniversary

Stayed here last weekend and i highly recommend it to anyone! Was such a nice relaxing stay, the people who checked us in and out were very friendly. Clean stay, way exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be coming back when and if there are any openings!

Have been going here a few years, have been in summer and winter. Winter is definitely my favorite. Beautiful cabins. Hot tubs are amazing to jump in after a cold winter hike. You can walk up the street to the Hi Point or Nite Hawk. Definitely my highlight after the crazy Christmas season.
