The first staff member who “helped” us didn’t know what she was doing with creating customer profiles so we had to give her our information 3 times before needing to give it again to her colleague who took over. All of this just to be told the text code for 10% off was online only, when in the past I was allowed to use it in store when I created a profile for myself. This second staff member was clearly very angry at his colleague and was aggressively throwing our items down after ripping them from her hands, it was extremely uncomfortable. After telling me that I couldn’t get 10% off, he said he’d do even better and use a coupon for 20% off. When I got my receipt I hadn’t been given any discount.
I will not be returning to this location, if I need something from Tandy I’ll order online.

The staff treats you like family! Very accommodating. Good prices and a good selection of products.

Discovered this gem of a store a few months ago and i couldn’t be happier that i did.the staff are incredibly kind and helpful and the shop is always stocked with everything you could possibly need.i highly recommend going here for any leather needs you have.

The staff are amazing. They are always willing to help you out and even will provide advice and suggestions if they are familiar with the work. I have yet to have them try to up sell me. When talking about leather dyes they gave me the pros and cons of each type I was looking at and their honest opinion in then (they had used both). I've never had a bad experience there and I don't foresee having one.

I have shopped a lot at this store, however I will no longer be patronizing Tandy leather store. The price point Tandy sells anything that's not leather at is high, once one does ones research. This is okay for a hobbyist, not if one is in business. Ignorance tax, my father calls it.
The negative review mostly Tandy's lackadaisical approach to stocking hardware. An example is not having complete ranges of products in the various finishes, for example rivets, hooks, zippers, buckles in Antiqued brass. Frustrating having to source hardware for a project from multiple locations.
The staff are hit or miss. Maybe others have had all positive experiences, I will reserve my judgement.

Being that this is the only leather retail store in Winnipeg, I can't compare it to others, however, I can say the staff is amazing. We walk in and are asked if we need assistance or if we are looking for something specific. I can freely walk around and even have been offered to step behind the counter to take a closer look at the stamping tools. While I'm looking around for what I need, one employee chats with my girlfriend (while working of course) about crocheting and needle point (crafts my gf enjoys). I do find some of the prices out of my range compared to some online options, but at least her I can feel the leather and pick the cut that I want and see any markings that are on it. I'm new to this craft and the employees have made me feel welcome and have been very helpful in picking out new tools, making sure I'm getting things that will help me the most.
Would I recommend this store? Definitely. My gf and I always look forward to our visits there. 5 Stars

A fantastic staff who always willing to help, and they come with a mindset of a happy customer leaving the store. I am a long time client of the Winnipeg Store and can tell you that the future is very bright. If you have not been in a a Tandy Store in the last year, things have changed and it is worth a visit.

Staff there are super helpful and very friendly! Learned a lot from them and satisfied with the tools and leather and everything I bought.

They are great people and know what they are talking about and will help you if they can I've been dealing with them for 47 years and i have no complaints

O' Brien is the absolute best! So knowledgable he can anticipate your questions and recommend options, such a good salesman you leave with everything you need and some stuff you didnt realize you needed until he gave you the idea. Creative! Amazing!

Excellent selection of stock for all sorts of products, but retail pricing for your everyday customer is rather expensive, and one of their salesman was kinda clingy and high-pressure, not letting me just wander around and take in the whole store, but rather kept pushing products and services relentlessly despite being told I was fine numerous times. Also, the lighting in there could be improved, kinda has a dim/dark feel, hard to read some labels and tags. If there were other options in Winnipeg for this type of products, I'd check them out, but Tandy is kind of the only retail operation like this. Such is life.

Went in for the first time today and was blown away by the selection, prices, and customer service. Will definitely be going back.
