Best dim sum in the Peg and I would say all across Canada. Shrimp dumplings, rice rolls, and fish/shrimp dumpling in clear soup broth are to die for. Fresh made to order. If you want best quality dim sum this is it. If you want pushcarts and low quality dim sum, don't come here.

They have the best dim sum in Winnipeg. Anything that you order with shrimp is only shrimp, unlike other places that use fake shrimp /Pollock. Everything is made fresh to the order so nothing's overcooked. Big portions and tasty! Don't tell too many people. It's a small place. I don't want to wait in line

Choice of dim sum is a bit limited but every dish is in good quality! Personally, I prefer them over those near Chinatown.

I order here regularly and have no complaints. Sometimes you get hit with a 1 hour to 1.5 hours wait times for pick up but thats normal, they do get very busy somtimes.

Came here based on the rating, reviews, and photos. I was trying to find an alternative to my current Winnipeg favourite dim sum restaurant.

The shopping centre parking lot offers plenty of free parking.

The room was definitely smaller than what I imagined based on photos. Pretty dim, too, since the only major light source is the front windows. Place has no side windows and only has some small LED ceiling lights.

On writing this review, I realized that we ordered almost none of the dishes everybody posting here ordered. So this may be why my food experience may be less than everybody else but these are also standard dishes in dim sum restaurants.

The Chinese doughnut wrapped in rice noodle roll was pretty basic and not fresh made. It has been fried more than once and then wrapped. If they steamed it again after wrapping, maybe the doughnut would not seem so overfried and dry.

The meat wrapped in bean curd sheet was ok. It's just standard fare and does not stand out.

The chicken on rice dim sum bowl was ok. Could probably do with a little more steaming with the lid off as the steaming liquid was still in the rice, so it seemed too wet. This is the first place I've been to that uses those metal steaming containers rather than clay pots or actual bowls.

The stuffed eggplant. Now, usually, this is with shrimp paste. This is the first time to have it with fish paste. Again, it's just ok, but fish paste is cheaper than shrimp, so the experience was that much less.

Hidden gem in South Winnipeg? Maybe if there are no other dim sum restaurants in South Winnipeg.

If you don't mind driving to Chinatown, Kum Koon Garden would still get my dim sum dollars.

Terrible place. Need to make a reservation but when we walked in at opening where there's no one inside the restaurant and they turned us away. How do you expect anyone to make reservations when you open at 11 and you don't answer any calls prior. Terrible!

I ordered Combo #7 and combo #1. Supposed to come with fried rice, both dishes. Fried rice is not a blob of steamed rice with soya sauce on it. Nothing in it and definitely had not seen a wok! Second time disappointed. Last time.

Just went to eat today for Mother's Day. Booked reservation at 11am, started ordering and just when we plan to order second round of dim sum this male server came to our table and told us if he can help us pack up. I got confused and asked why. He said because this is Mother's Day we have a two hour limit. I asked why did you not tell me when I was waiting for my seat, when I sat down, or when I started my first order? He said “if every customer is like us then we won't be able to do business” (How can we do business if all customers are like us? - in a very canton accented mandarin).
We left, but we noticed other canto speaking customers were not being forced to leave.

If you can’t speak Cantonese, stay away, this restaurant is racist.
Mandarin-speaking mainland compatriots, please be careful, this store discriminates against mainlanders. I have lived in Winnipeg for 25 years and thought this trend had changed. How disgusting!

It's a good spot with friendly staff and good quality food. I would have given it a 4 except that when ordering takeout I received the incorrect dish. I ordered curried shrimp and received curried chicken. It was still delicious and I enjoyed it but was disappointed as I really wanted shrimp and was already home when I discovered the mistake. However I will still order from here and hope that I can upgrade that star in the future.

This place is such a hidden gem! Definitely the best dim sum in the south end of the city. Make sure you make reservations as the dining room is quite small and fills up fast on weekends at lunch.

They deserved a star only as they made mistake without saying an apology. I had booked a table a day ahead, apparently they gave my table to others. That lady who worked there just asked us to wait, no explanation, no apology but hide inside the kitchen. They did set up a table for us after, however, no apology still. It's super simple, if u make mistake, then apologize. What a disappointment and bad experience. They ruined their reputation cause now people knows how they treat their customers. Apparently the staff there don't even know what a proper manner and basic serving skill is, shame on them.

Dim sum is top notch. The deep fried custard buns are just chefs kiss. The Chinese perogies have the perfect texture. The pan fried pork dumplings are simply the best here. And the pork dumplings with shirmp.you'll need two orders of these. On the weekends be sure to make a reservation. The *only* thing that's a kinda weird is they are protective with their condiments. We need more than one tiny dish of chili oil for a table of four ordering minimum 10 dishes (yea, the dim sum is that good). Just please give us the condiments.

Almost hesitant to leave a glowing review in an effort to keep this little secret to myself! Best Dim Sum in Winnipeg! Very limited seating but if you're able to get a spot, absolutely delicious.
