Lovely farm with lots to see. Would recommend for a great date. The family who owns it was nothing but friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I learned a lot about the animals and had a great time. Please go there it's actually amazing.

This place is amazing. Very nice kind people. Went to go visit all the animals one weekend. It was the best. I love all of their animals and what they do. I LOVE Sheldon the goat. He is so nice and does cute things. Also I love Fernando the handsome turkey. I am really looking forward to going to the goat yoga class.

Thanks to 10 acre woods that several bunnies were saved from a hoarding situation ️ cannot thank enough and then even tho it was dark out and pretty late at night, they went above and beyond to show us all of their animals beautiful place and beautiful animals it was deffinitly a neat experience for a last minute trip! ️ Deffinitly need to come again at a not so late in the night trip! Haha wonderful people who own this awesome place thank you again! ️

Love watching on youtube I've learnt so much since I have been watching and find tara and mark to be so inspiring. You can see the love they give to each animal they have in their care always look forward to my sunday evening when each video comes on and for that I thank you both for sharing your life with us and all the animals. My all time favourite animal was hannibal and still miss seeing him but i love carl and blackie and especially sheldon who is a amazing soul xx

They are amazing people who love and care greatly about animals. Tara is always there when you have questions about ANYTHING regarding your own farm!

These are very good people. They are passionate about committed - doing their level best to help every animal no matter. They have worked many miracles. By far, the best animal rescues in Canada.

Wonderful place. Knowledgeable owners, helpful and kind. A place I've gone to not only for their "petting zoo", goat yoga and just learning about the animals, but I've also sent animals to them myself, and used them as a source of knowledge when I needed some answers. They hold classes for education for many things "hobby farmer" and know their stuff.

They are and will always be my go to " hobby farmer, and farm animal questions".

Also, they have super awesome goats. I own 2 of their "kids".

Had a great time visiting with Tara and Mark and all the animals beautiful site to visit I will be back

Tara and Mark McKean are some of the most compassionate and hard working people you will ever meet. The love and dedication they give every single animal (and human) that steps onto their farm is astounding, and 5 stars just does not do this place justice.

I would give 10 stars if I could! Tara and Mark were incredible hosts. Love, love, LOVE their passion for their animals and the farm they've created!
I HIGHLY recommend this place for parties, gatherings or even an outdoor wedding! Will definitely be back

I spent a wonderful afternoon here with the animals for some much needed exam stress relief. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I would love to visit again!

10 Acre Woods is a magical place filled with love and so much space! The family at 10 Acre woods is beyond welcoming and kind. They took in my two little boys (rabbits) that I love dearly but unfortunately was no longer able to keep due to a lack of proper space for them to live a happy life. I felt so good about their new home and the family that they now live with. The 10 acre woods family knows each and everyone of their animals and knows their name and their story as to how they got to the farm. I first found out about their farm when I had my birthday there two years ago - we did goat yoga, hung out with the adorable animals and then had a bbq after. This place is a wonderful and happy place for animals to live and I highly recommend planning your family or work bbqs there, learning how to make mitts, taking your children there, planning a fieldtrip or just going out for a few hours to surround yourself with animals and as there is no better feeling than surrounding yourself with the simplicity of nature and animals that have an endless amount of love to give.

Most Amazing rescue farm! August long weekend 33 people descended on 10 acre woods, as I had set up a group goat yoga class for my family reunion. Not only was Tara and her volunteers accommodating they made everyone feel comfortable and we had such a splendid time bonding with the animals and just being silly. I HIGHLY recommend this cute farm you will not be disappointed.

I've been there 3 times now, done the goat yoga as well. The farm is not too big but it's the most loving and caring place. All the animals are extremely friendly, you can even pet Fernando the turkey! Very recommended, once you come there, you become part of a little family and never want to leave again.

Such a great place and the staff is amazing. All of the animals are very friendly. I never thought I would ever pet a turkey!

We went here for a Birthday Party a few years ago. We really enjoyed the animals and the fact these animals are rescues made it even more enjoyable!

However, the electric fences bear little warning to vistors of their existence. After viewing the animals, the kids were running amok in a small field, with no discouragement from the owner, while the BBQ was prepared. My, then toddler, grabbed hold of the electric fence; my husband grabbed her immediately. The owner remarked she must have missed the eletric pulse and good thing because it has enough energy to down a horse. After that, we were left shaken and upset at the thought of what could have occured.

If one opens their property to visitors and calls it family friendly, there should be ample warning that the fences are electric and note of their location. We were not verbally informed of any electric fencing upon arrival to The 10 Acre Woods. After surveying the property we found one very small sign noting the fence was electric. This sign was far removed from the general picnic area, closer to the entrance.

We have not returned since this incident so I cannot comment whether or not adequate signage has been placed.

Such a beautiful experience! The animals are all very friendly and the owner is very knowledgeable. Yoga instructor is patient and very accustomed to beginners and the need to allow for animal interruptions. I will be recommending this farm to everyone!

We enjoyed an evening and sleepover for a bachelorette party. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and welcomed into their beautiful home like family. We were given full use of their bbq and outdoor kitchen area, along with Bluetooth speaker to enjoy our music. We had an absolutely fantastic time! The animals are so loved and cared for, you can see how happy they all are. Their care and well-being definitely comes first and it shows! We had such a wonderful time here, I look forward to coming back! 10/10

Baby goats! There is definitely something therapeutic about petting a baby goat. This place was a bit out of the way and the yoga cost 25 bucks but you will leave with a smile on your face for sure. I mean Baby goats!

This was my first time coming to this place. It will be my last.
The "owner" yelled at my son at the egg toss. He picked up 4 eggs and she yelled at him and made him drop them. She physically took them out of his hands (grabbed his wrists and shook them) and made him drop them on the ground. How unbelievably rude. It was a certain age group and he was in that age group but because he was smaller she said " no he had his chance no put them down, drop it". Not considering how awful he felt afterwards.
Never asked his age, nothing just assumed he didn't fit that age group. He said "all I got was 2" watching other kids with full baskets go by him and he was about to cry. How dare you speak to my son like that, grab his hands and treat him or any child like that. He didn't know he did anything wrong I told him to grab the eggs as it was his age group the owner called out. There was another boy or 2 there as well. How dare you, you are lucky you didn't hurt him.
My daughter (who is 8) wanted me to mention that throwing chocolate eggs on the ground with animals defecting everywhere is not sanitary. Kids eat odd things but goodness.
Not to mention the electric fence had no warnings when you come in. Take 5 dollars and make a sign. It might prevent you from being sued.
Not impressed never going back again.

A fast and easy drive from Winnipeg. What an incredible experience, we loved the animals and the environment. Mark and Tara are fantastic hosts. There were lots of other people and families there. We were able to stroll in the woods with the animals, it was soooo cool!

Spent Easter Monday out here and it was amazing! Cute and very friendly animals and the people who run the farm are really nice people, very friendly and they love what they do which makes this an amazing place to see and visit with your children.

Tara was so laid back and friendly. Bringing us music and welcoming us into her home with her family. She and her husband went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The property itself is beautiful and the love of animals radiates from the whole family. Would definitely recommend and will come again!
