The Burger Place on Main

The service from this restaurant is tremendous. As a person who works in the service industry, I appreciate the service from the owner and workers. The owner understood that this was our first time here and let us sample their famous chilli. Literally everything about this place is just amazing.

I've ate at the other location before and always wanted to try this one every time I drive by. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy at all. Only had four people in the restaurant. While the service was fine and the young boys making the food were friendly enough, I found the food to be just "ok". I'm a huge fan of fat boys and I've ate pretty much every single one in this city. The meat on this burger was way over seasoned and had an overpowering taste, leaving you unable to taste actual meat. The bun was fantastic however.

I ordered onion rings with the burger and was super disappointed at how small the order was. Unlike some other reviews here, I was provided with just a few soggy oily rings crammed into a small brown bag soaked in oil. I'm not sure what their thinking is on this one. Nothing like eating dripping oily soggy rings in a car.

Milkshake was. I'm glad I experienced it however my almost immediate need to locate a washroom after consuming the entire meal pretty much ensures I will not return LOL I'm glad the other reviews are positive, this was just my experience.

Ginormous portions! Love the chili burger, but always have trouble finishing it. A large fries could probably do for 3 people. Staff has always been very pleasant

Honestly, if I could do less than a star I would! Being a lifer to the Burger Place on Portage, I am utterly disgusted. I arrived to the restaurant at 6: 20 PM, placed my order, which was extremely small, and proceeded to wait and be completely ignored until 7: 10 PM. At this point, I asked the young girl at the ‘til to pull up my order and double check that it was actually being cooked. It was not she could hardly find my order on file. Horrible service not once were we checked in on, I was so thirsty I had to go out to my vehicle to take a sip of my water. It is completely run by young kids, which is OK but under no direct supervision and it is a complete Gong Show. Will not be returning ever.

Great food. Good service. Very friendly. However, we ordered online about 40 minutes ahead of time on a Saturday evening. When we arrived to pick up our order, we had to wait another 30 minutes in store for it to be ready. And they did forget to make my fringers a poutine. Other than needing to work out the kinks for a newer diner, the quality is there.

The owner was very friendly along with the staff. Food was great especially the Mushroom Burger. Sooo good. Highly recommend this place for the burger lovers.

Every time weve gone there, we have had a wonderful experience! It seems like the staff is getting to know the business better as well, this the service is improving, not that it was bad before.

Wow! Service was quick, fresh food and huge burger! Just got the smaller Poutine and also onion rings. Delish! Plenty of seating but lots of people too.

OMG! I thought I was going to have a food coma! It was so good I didn't want to waste a thing.
Went there with a buddy, I ordered the the deluxe cheese burger was pretty much a Fatboy burger. Also tried the half and half poutine, half was traditional gravy, cheese curds etc.the other half chili cheese fries.

Only problem was even ordering the single patty version of the burger and the small poutine it was so much food.

My buddy with a bigger appetite ordered the double mushroom burger and a different poutine.

Great food, huge portions and a nice roomy comfortable place to sit and eat you food.

Will definitely be back again soon and this was only my first time here.

Had the deluxe cheese burger and onion rings. It's basically a fatboy because of the chili but this one stood out because of the flavor! It was huge, messy and full of flavor. Usually in a fat boy I find the chili overpowers the mayo, lettuce etc but this one was a burger made for the gods. You could taste everything in it. Absolutely amazing. And the onion rings were really good too, just the right level of crispy.

This was our first time there and it was fantastic amazing homemade burger and homemade fries with chili ️ fast friendly service if you're looking for a great place for fresh homemade food this is the place to go! You will not be disappointed

Burgers and fries were great however service lacks. System for taking orders was down but but for awhile failed to let the 3 customers who were waiting know this. Then another Cust walked in & the system came back online and they proceeded to help the one who walked in late, first. Not very good, and place was not busy. I had to interject & identify that we were also waiting to put an order in first.

Been to this location a few times and the food has been decent until today, I ordered four burgers and fries for my family and the patties were overcooked and very bland. The other problem I had was when I ordered the food I was told 15 minutes, when it took 30 minutes to get the food (it wasn't busy) and the same girl that took my money forgot I was there when when my order was ready.one of the cooks told them I was waiting for it. I hope this was a one off but for the amount of money I spent we were very disappointed.

The food is excellent. I liked the style of the diner and the people that work there are very friendly

A bit disappointed after all the rave reviews.
Asked for chilli burger no onions it came with tons inside. Pattie was so over done the plastic knife couldn't cut it, can't eat a chilli burger with your hands fries nothing special looked like pre-cooked and not warmed in the deep fryer long enough.
I'm going to sound like a real bitcher but it was so cold in there my supper was cold before I finished.
I am just one unlucky customer don't let me put you off as so many gave them five stars.

Stopped to grab some fries and a couple delux cheeseburgers. I have to say the food was delicious and fairly priced! Also the the young man who served me was very polite.he made a very good first impression of this restaurant! Bravo!

Excellent food with great prices! The kids loved the mini burger box meals with the option of chilli cheese fries or poutine this is definitely going to be our new burger place

Not gunna lie, this place slaps. Got the best burger I've had in years here. The burgers are huge, meat is so fresh, and the fries, holy they go hard. Other places give you food. This place gives you a meal.

First time eater! Messed up and the burger, should have had the deluxe! Chili was just ok.

My fav. Goto spot for 35 years?:) I come to the Peg and I inhale a tasty burger into my belly. New location on main is awesome.

I just took a stroll from my place and happened to cross Burger Man on Main street. Was hungry so decided to walk in and order a burger and boy was I in for a surprise. One of the best burgers I have ever had. It was juicy, well done and scrumptious. Definitely recommend them to all burger lovers.

Will be taking family soon so the kids can enjoy it too.

My too go place, the best, everything is fantastic, the people that work there are friendly.

In spite of the fact I despise Chili on my burgers.and didn't realize it was a staple on all the burgers. I really loved the homemade patty and everything else on my Deluxe Cheeseburger! The workers were all very young, and so busy! They stayed pleasant throughout! Our milkshakes and Poutine were delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Huge portions of fries and heaps of chili on your burgers and hotdogs - this is a place that should be on your "must visit" list this summer!

It was the usual busy supper rush, but the staff have adjusted very well to working under pressure! The front service staff are amazing and the back preparation staff are very efficient. The food is very good and the place is clean, bright and so much fun! With the snow gone, parking is not as crazy, but we walked over to avoid the parking. I am looking forward to eating outside in the summer months!
