Awful experience! Tried returning a dented hot water tank that was purchased this morning at another location. The Manager Abdul at the Keneston location would not except my return, told me I had to return the item to the original location, explained to him I called customer service and another location that said i could return it to any location. Abdul refused to return the item, made me re load the hot water tank and didn’t even offer to help.
It’s ridiculous Home Depot would hire a manger who doesn’t even know the return policy. The laziness is disgusting.

Can never find a staff member here, when I did they were not helpful, instead of helping walked towards a different person that I assume they knew and started taking to them in another language, and I was left to find another employee, which I couldn't so I ended up just leaving.

Dishwasher bought on April 24. Delivered on November 10. Close to 7 months! When I purchased we were promised several times they had this dishwasher in stock. I asked pointed and specific questions to make absolutely that I wasn’t ordering a dishwasher when Home Depot could get one I was buying one that they had in a warehouse in their hands. In fact they said they had over 40 and when I bought they would put my name on one and it would be a short time until I got it. Lies! Lies! And more lies. Several calls over the month until I finally gave up and they said “do you want to cancel your order? “.
Don’t buy from these people. They have no morals and lie continually. Never again!
Don’t give me your cut and paste “I would like to here more about this…” sympathy sentence. I read through all your other reviews and that you cut and paste the same sentences every time. Train your staff and fix your systems!

Worst Home Depot to shop at.my husband and I purchased a stand up shower, bathroom vanity, light fixture, toilet and 2 faucets online and when we went to pick it up the toilet and vanity boxes were extremely damaged. When we spoke to the guy loading the order in the truck he said that they were the last two they had in stock. I checked the online inventory and they had 8 toilets and 3 vanities? We were lied to, they just wanted to get rid of the damaged boxes. When we told him we didn’t want them he said okay and walked back into the store and never came back! What kind of customer service is that when you just spent a lot of money with a company? We will not be shopping with them again. I just can’t get over being lied to like that?

I went into the store to buy something tonight but instead none of the store associates were able to find the products that I needed. They would call someone that knew where the products were. That person never showed up. I asked two different people. Stock says the store has 44 of the items in stock. Where are they? Who knows I guess. No one that works there apparently. I’m seeing this as a tread more and more with this store. It doesn’t seem like the people that work their want to help the customers. I can tell that one or two do, and they get swamped and the other employees just go back to talking. With their buddies on company time. Maybe the manager should do something about that.

Went for a construction heater and they didn't have it in stock. Big line ups and not the greatest customer service. I understand they are busy but they could have been a little more courteous

I am regretfully giving a low rating. The store staff does generally very well with in-person customer service but seems unable to provide customer service over the phone. After four calls today where I was either repeatedly left on hold or transferred and then the call was dropped I decided to give up. The irony is that I was told to call ahead by store staff to check for product availability.

PS. The response from the owner suggests I follow up with a private message but leaves no address or means to do that. Seems like this is part of the same problem noted above. If there is a human being at the other end of the store response then please provide your contact information. Otherwise I conclude it's just an automated response designed to make the store look responsive.

Tool rental- I've rented a variety of tools here over the years, jack hammers, augers, sod cutters, most recently a stump grinder, and the last few times have been pretty disappointing. All the guys are completely full of it, they have 0 experience actually using the tools so they can't actually recommend which is better for your application. They can tell you the difference between 2 versions of the same tool on paper but don't have a bloody clue how that translates to the real world. Don't waste your money, rent from a real equipment rental place.

Paid for a dryer back in April this year and still nothing is working until now after months.
The original delivery date was set in June and it got delayed until last week. Finally it was delivered and because at the time I paid for the dryer no one has told me to purchase the air vent pipe that needed for completing the installation. The dryer has been sitting there and not working for another week now. I went to store and purchased the pipe last week and they suggested someone would contact me for installation, I waited 48hours, no one called so I decide to call them because I NEED THE DRYER. They told me they are sending someone to do the installation on this Monday which is today July 19th. No one showed up or called me or anything and it’s almost 4PM now.
I had some good experiences with the Home Depot. But this time is really not a good experience also disappointing because I have been waited and put so much time in this which it shouldn’t be like this for a customer who paid for the service and not have it working for months.

Today on July 20th. Now the customer representative told me they are sending the email. When I requested to talk to manage because this should be escalated. The representative hung up and refuse my request. The number they give to me to call and schedule installation is a number reaches no where and no one respond to my voice mail for more than a week! I can’t imagine the customer experience can be worse like this.

The most disorganized Home Depot store I have ever been to. This is like the fourth time that I have checked something on the website and it says 20+ of them available in this Winnipeg SW store and then I come to store to pick up, but there is nothing in stock. From floor mat, to CO detector, to digital multimeter. And always staff saying it is in the truck and has not been taken off and I have to come back another day. Then why do you show the item available in stock! Also multiple time the items are misplaced. Website says something is in Aisle 37 and you check the whole aisle and ask the staff, they don't know where it is. Then you accidentally find it 3 Aisles away. I have never seen such a mess in any other Home Depot store!

Good location. Huge parking spots. There is lot to explore in stores like that.there prices are not bad. Customer service is good too.

Another Winnipeg HD store with useless employees. Three staff including the cust svc desk told me they had zero Bosch dishwasher wiring kits in stock when the website showed 43. Had to find them myself.
That's an hour of my life I'll never get back.
Pleased to say HD did get back to me on twitter and took my comments seriously. Changed rating accordingly.

The problem with this Home Depot is the lack of dedicated staff [working thier respective areas] on busy days.

The young guy working the tool cage complained he was the only one working that section (he had been called by 3 customers via the tablet) but was clearly not in his section.

This is a good store but i find it does suffer from staffing problems.

Go online before you head to the store so you can see what's in stock. Also tells you the aisle it's in so you're not wasting time looking.

Horrible curb side pickup. Asks you to check in via a link in confirmation email. Sat there for 20 min. Finally called the store which took another 5 minutes before anyone answered and acknowledged me. Associate was nice and apologized for the wait after another 5 min had passed. I could have gone in and been back home in less time.

I am shocked by the customer service recieved today by the staff named 'Rosa' I have never spoken to anyone so rude, I went to return a product in replacement of another and was insulted in front of the people in the store. I was so stunned to see someone so rude behind the customer service counter and felt so embarrassed that I just left from there so i don't get insulted anymore.
The staff yelled literally just because i didn't hear her well at the first time due to the mask she was wearing, I understand the difference between speaking in a higher tone and actually trying to insult someone. She was literally making sure that I feel embarrassed. I will never recommend anyone to go to this store atleast not to their customer service staff instead use the self serve option if possible. I didn't want to take any names as I wanted to keep it respectful and as an overall experience but the way I was treated it will stay with me for a while and someone who doesn't have the basic training of dealing with customers shouldn't be behind the customer service desk. HORRIBLE customer sevice and Home depot boasts about their values about delivering Excellent customer service. What a joke! #Craig Menear

Clerk walked away before we were done not needing anymore assistance in the paint dept. Making us feel we were bothering her. Another clerk was too pushy and not wanting to help us when looking for counter top repair solutions.

Great store, very friendly and helpful staff that gives really valuable professional advise and ready to assist with any purchase. Curb side pick up service is great too, easy online purchase, prompt email notifications with clear instructions on what and how to do, quick service at the store! Best place to.buy home supplies, tools. Better rates and deals than Canadian tire. I bought some tools from Canadian tire, but there was something I didn't find there so went to home depot and got better prices on tools

Kenaston home depot. Went to store to pick up a in store pickup order and Milwaukee drill kit ($150) that the website said multiple were available. They only had a 1 kit with a missing battery. First the Manager tried saying the battery was a different battery then what was on the shelf and that's why he could not do it. Showed him that in fact it was the exact same 1. He then tries to discount the battery and kit price total to $190. The Regular kit price is $150 so that offer is obsurd. Manager refused to just add the missing battery. I don't need to wasted 2 hours driving and another hour in store during a pandemic dealing with inaccurate and incompetent managers. Having said all that the sales associates were very helpful. Managers were horrible.

Disappointing customer service. The sales rep in bath section didn't know about the products and wouldn't call for a rep who would know. Took me around 2 hours for a simple order.

Extremely positive experience with the tool rental center at this location. I bought a used machine "as is" and the manager (I believe his name is Jeff) tested out the machine right in front of me and found a problem. He then said he would have his tech fix it the following day and I could come pick it up then. He did not have to do this as I had already paid for the item "as is". However you could tell he takes pride in his position and customer service is important to him. Thanks Jeff and Home depot for such a positive customer experience in a day and age where it is becoming harder to find.

I no longer go to this store without my fiance with me because of some of the blatant sexism I've encountered by staff here. I've requested help finding paint or other items, been told I don't know what I'm doing or what I'm talking about, then my fiance is handed the exact product with no issues. When we were staining my deck, I requested another can of the stain we were using, was told flat out that mix was impossible and that I was wrong. I gave them the phone with my fiance on the other end, who asked for exactly what I just asked for (in the same words), and was handed the product. When I brought up this ongoing issue with a manager, excuses were made for the employee.

Went into Home depot because, they have a life long warranty on Schlage Locks. I went in and Rich (The supervisor) said no problem we can replace that lock, it's under warranty. Once I got to the till, he didn't waive the lock, and I had to pay out of pocket for the new replacement lock. Complete waste of time and money.

Didn't get response for window quote but ignored

I asked window quote for replacing one of the broken window at the condominium.the contractor - silver dare exterior (?) hung up while I explain about the window, no response back later even though I had contact them again.

I contact to store at Kenaston - no answer for several attempts, I have reached to the manager who really have an annoying voice explained to me to call Home depot customer service since the branch has no controlling power to the contractor.the Customer service line also no answer, it took more than a month and I have done window replacement with another company eventually.

I strongly believed their attitudes are intended as ignorance of request since it was only 1 small window so that does not make a big profit.or it may possibly be an intention of discrimination, who knows.

I would not consider for ordering window or instalment at home depot again, this was not very pleasant experience.
