The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Southside

Had a lovely time at The Keg this evening. First time trying lobster and it did not disappoint. To be fair that also means I have nothing to compare it with, but if this is the worst lobster in the city then even the worst is pretty damn good!

Thought the service was really solid too, our waiter frequently came to our table to check on my group and he was pleasant throughout the complete duration of our visit.

Very much enjoyed my time and will definitely stop by again at some point.

I have been a Keg fan for years and years, but I cannot believe that I have never had the Prime Rib Sliders before. They were outstanding.

This restaurant discriminates and demands to know medical info to dine. They are complicit in medical apartied/tyranny.

Great food, great staff/service and fantastic dining experience. Considering the staffing issues impacting other restaurants causing delays, it's almost as if the Keg was on a different planet - no delays, hot food.

We visit here about 6 or 7 times a year. Consistent high quality with large menu that has something for everyone. Great atmosphere with incredibly professional, friendly, kind and knowledgeable staff. We've never been disappointed. Order the Billie Miner for dessert.

Have always had a good experience. No complaints. Recommend the blue cheese filet or the pistachio salmon.

Tuna tartar was more avocado than tuna, but was ok. Very attentive service, and good cocktails.

I had a fantastic visit to the Keg. It was busy but we were seated promptly. Our food came quickly, was perfect, and our server was amazing. I was celebrating my university graduation and they made me feel special as several staff members congratulated me, which I thought was extremely kind and thoughtful. Excellent experience overall, will be back for sure.

Husband and I went for 10th anniversary dinner. Enjoyed my French onion soup and garlic steak was very tasty. My server Anna was also very attentive!

Always great service by staff. If you want to go at peak times, it’s best to make a reservation.

I don’t like the inside setup. Having to sit very close to other patrons is uncomfortable, regardless of the window partition.

Booked with Open Table app. Front desk confused about where to seat us. Seated us right across from server station. Very noisy. Seating should have already been decided. Menu contained a page that was no longer available and it was what we initially had chosen from. My steak overdone and too dried out to finish. Rest of the food was fantastic. Complementary dessert provided for overdone steak. We have never felt so rushed in a restaurant before. Several times, waitress tried to clear things we were still eating. Not our usual dinner at the Keg experience.

We went for an early dinner at 5: 15. First of all our waitress Lena was absolutely delightful and was pleasant, attentive and very friendly!
We both had the Prime Rib Classic dinner with the Ceasar Salad. The Ceasar Salad is the best in the city! The Prime Rib was perfectly cooked the way we like it medium rare. And the horseradish they are famous for did not disappoint either. As we were celebrating a belated birthday, they complimented our dinner with a mocha mousse ice cream dessert. And they are not chincy on their portions either. All in all we were extremely satisfied and highly recommend the Southside Keg!

We had an awesome night. Steaks were perfect, rest of food was fantastic. Our server was Brittany P and she was an absolute pleasure! Will be back soon.

Arrived a few mins before outdoor reservation for four. We were seated promptly. Waiter was prompt and shared the happy hour menu with us. Ordered three appetizer and four drinks at happy hour price. The apps and drinks were good. Shrimp could be bigger but at happy hour price you could order double apps. Four more drinks were ordered from the happy hour menu. Entrees were ordered and timed right, just shortly after apps were finished. Everyone was satisfied with there order. One small criticism is the burger could have been cooked a little less and the tomato on the burger could have been more ripe. It was a bit green and white inside. For the burger price it should have been better than just OK.

Food was delicious as always and cooked to perfection. This location is busy at dinner peak times but gets quieter in the evening which is nice. The outdoor lounge is a nice size and great seating outside

Fantastic service and quality food! Was here yesterday for a business dinner and was greeted with professionalism and courtesy! The servers were excellent, and all had great attitudes! Highly recommend this location for a great experience!

It was so nice to dine in at a restaurant again. You could tell that the staff were enthusiastically ecstatic about being able to serve their patrons face to face again.

Had the prime rib with one of their signature mule drinks. Our server explained everything really well and when we took our dessert to go, she made sure to advise us that it needs to be eaten or refrigerated asap.

Oh was it wonderful to get out on a "much awaited date" with my hunnie! Our food was fantastic! My husband's dessert DELICIOUS! HAHA. And our server Lukas was likely the best we've had the pleasure to be greeted by! All in all this was a perfect evening! (This has always been our favorite Keg location but I'm sure they're all great.)

Instead of two sides with a meal it is now one side. The steak was a little tough but it was not convenient to call and ask it be redone.

Service was great. Doing a great job with sanitization during Covid. Best meal I have ever had at The Keg and been many times.

It has been 5 years since we went out for dinner, due to my medical condition and it was the perfect meal. Thank you for the enjoyable dinner and great service.

As always, what I would expect from the food quality to the excellence of service. Definitely a must try!

Absolute best service in a long time! Ask for Zoe when you come, steaks cooked to perfection, all sides hot and cooked properly! Zoe was so attentive - I had to speak to the manager and share how impressed we were!

Fast, friendly service last night, food was as always keg quality, which is great. One thing to note about this location, it doesn’t seem to have had a refresh in quite a few years and the interior (tables, chairs, booths, art and colour scheme) shows that. The downtown location has a more modern feel inside for anyone wondering what the comparison is being made to.

Great place for dinner no matter what province your in. You can expect good food great staff and a nice atmosphere.

The Kansas cut strip loin was delicious and they were able to cook it Chicago Rare and it was delicious. The only critique would be to bring back the three cheese butter I can get in other provinces. It’s awesome!
