Visited after the Jets game with my husband. He raved about the phenomenal steak, but my experience with the blackened chicken was disappointing. It lacked the expected color, was overcooked, and had dry edges. On a positive note, the drinks were excellent. If you're a steak and seafood enthusiast, it might be worth it, but my overall impression was underwhelming.

The food quality is no where near as good as it used the be
He steak was great but everything else tasted like microwaveable food from the grocery store

We decided to try take out. We got the burger and fries and the burger with garlic mashed, a side of calamari and some pie. My burger was pink, which is not how I usually enjoy my burger. I never asked for any particular cooking instructions, I assumed it would be fully cooked. My fiancés burger was also pink but he didn’t seem to mind, until 4: 00 am when he was switching between puking and pooping. I was up all night with a gurgling tummy, we both feel awful. It tasted good! He also only got a very small handful of fries. Like 14.

Always a great meal. Great friends obviously make it even better, but the portions were huge! Bigger then I remeber and we haven't been since covid. Always a favorite place, especially the Garry street location. Gift cards help if you plan on drinking more then one drink! Nothing bad to say as service is always wonderful. It was lobster week there too! Twice baked potato is delicious even reheated the next day!

I used to enjoy keg restaurant but after experiencing the most disrespectful staff of keg restaurant in downtown, I am never going back again. My car overheated outside the restaurant and I thought just my luck that I was outside their restaurant, I asked them for water, they refused me, I even said i had an empty bottle could I just take it from your washroom. They refused me in the most disrespectful way and didn't let me even use their washroom. I felt so humiliated infront of the other guest.never again I will be going to keg again

Tbh, I'm not a big fan of steaks. So I ordered ribs and roasted chicken. The chicken was perfectly done and it tasted soo good. The ribs were also good. For the dessert I always prefer billy miner pie. It's my favorite. Food was good, servers were good. Perfect place to try out something different than the steak.

Went tonight, parked in the wrong lot wasnt clear where to park, figured that out and got seated.   Our Server came to the table and poured us all water. We were not all at the table yet. I didnt hear an introduction of the name, or anything like a hello, nothing.
We were asked drink orders and this service wasn't friendly  wasnt rude,   wasnt anything. No smile.
We all finally were seated and a
were asked for our food order.
We then asked the server for his name and he said. Oh yes this is the first time everyone is at the table, so we have a feature tonight.of ribs etc etc and prime rib etc etc and was told his name.
We felt the service was a bit meh at first, I think at one point he sighed while taking our order and we were adding items after everyone said their meal order. Maybe he was annoyed? !   I felt like i didnt even want to ask for anything more,   as to not tick him off.
I was disappointed that we could not get garlic butter for our bread on the table. I believe you used to do that. Also our bread was barely warm.
The meal came and it was Fantastic! My steak was soo juicy and tender, shrimp was Amazing and i was able to get brussel sprouts as my side.
I tried a mushroom appetizer- that was Great, also Cauliflower bites  those were Awesome too! Food was sooo delicious,
The service did improve a bit, but I found it could of been better. Give 100% and get a better tip ‍️
It was a 50th birthday party, and other than wishing a  Happy Birthday,   nothing else was done.   No free anything.   I dont expect the world, but maybe a free drink (pop) or something. Anything.
Overall it was a Great night.
Ps/ its too dark for people with vision issues to read the menu. But we Love the Mints 3/5

This is my favourite Keg in the city, I like the ambience of this location. Overall, the food is the same as all Kegs, which means you know you are going to get a decent meal.
My favourite dish is always Billy Miner Pie, which is not a pie. But delicious ice cream cake.

This is my favorite Keg location, love the atmosphere. The food is always very good too, the steaks are always made to perfection. I just wish it was still open for lunch, I would definitely frequent it more often.

Only been here to take out creme Brule, besides them saying it would only take 30 seconds more and really it took 5 minutes it was great.

Had dinner here last night with my boyfriend, and we were very impressed with the service.
Our server was the sweetest ever. It was a busy night at the restaurant but she never made us feel rushed.
Food is always a hit at The Keg. Ordered all my favourites- crispy fried cauliflower bites, prime rib, and the Billy Miner pie. So soooo yummy!

Food is fantastic, I was at Wellington steak house and the food here is on par. Service was great, tuna tartare is delicious along with mushrooms Neptune. Nice atmosphere too. I would go again and highly recommend.

First time back in years, and there handling of the vaccine cards is horrible. I have my card, and it was still a nightmare. I decided to save my money and make food at home. I'm guessing most people are also going to feel the same way. Some lucky couple outside got my $100 gift card because this will be my last visit to The Keg. Thanks for just proving to me that "dine-in" restaurants are the way of the past.

Nice downtown location. Patio is nice. Good service, but my steak was a little overdone. Overall, not too shabby!

The service was good the food was good except the bf said the lobster tail tasted flat the butter did not enhance the flavour of the tail

Nice food and service. I went there last night to celebrate my birthday and the waiter was kind and attentive. They offered a desert treat with candles and it was so cute. Thanks for making me feel special.

Food was good, staff was friendly. Lighting was quite low which made the menu a little difficult to read but overall it was a nice experience.

The food and service was wonderful and the warm evening weather which included no bugs was such a delight especially after our Covid 19 drought of not being able to dine in any restaurants. The Keg was part of our anniversary celebration. We have always enjoyed the keg since the days of The Keg and Cleaver.

I would have given 5 stars except the social distancing could have been better. Being sat beside another couple while the area is completely empty seems backwards in a pandemic.

We ordered take out last night for 9 people including appetizers (very big order) and everything was perfect! I really appreciated that the manager was in the lobby while I was picking up the order to make sure everything was being taken care of properly - thats how great service is supposed to be!

I love the rib eye steak (well done, Chicago style). It was tender and tasty.but the roasted chicken was not good at all a simple chicken without any notable flavour.the dessert (mini brownie) was delicious too.

Everything was delicious and perfect. The Keg is very consistent with respect to their food and the level of service. Lovely dinner!

Had the prime rib (the bigger portion). It was cooked to perfection. It was so tender, you could almost just eat it with a fork and there wasn't much fat to cut off either. Had the twice stuffed baked potato as my compliment and that was very good as well. Service was excellent. It was a little pricey but worth it.

Really amazing food and not busy unless there is a game on. I ordered the keg burger and it was amazing and delicious. It is the best burger I have ever had. Later on in the evening you are able to bring your child/children into the lounge if you would like and don't even get me started on the service! The service was amazing and everything is just amazing at the keg! 100% one of the best restaurants I've been to hands down!

Busy night tonight, this is one of my favorite Keg locations. Service is always great, love the Keg Classic prime rib meal.

Went to the keg on Saturday for a large party. Great waiting staff but the food was sub par to let’s say the McGillvary location (south side of the city). The manager was very disrespectful towards a patron of the party his name was Tyrone. Their for a combination of hostility and a over cooked steak left a sour taste in my mouth about this location, on top of all of that they had a dog in the waiting area and all the front staff/greeters were all bunched around the dog like it was an alright thing in a restaurant. Gotta love being served by people with dog for all over their uniforms. Good luck to anyone who has to deal with the same experience as us. WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME AT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN as we went to a smaller restaurant called Pasquale’s the following night and Joe the owner was nothing but amazing and the food and wine were to die for.

Easily the BEST experience I've had at The Keg ever. And I've been to The Keg dozens of times in other cities. This visit was perfect. My server was great. Patient and friendly, but my steak. My steak ALWAYS comes out wrong. Undercooked, overcooked, but never right. I've quite literally never get it right and this time is was. So perfect that I asked to speak to the chef that prepared it to thank them personally! So Dayton. In Winnipeg. You made my prime rib experience wonderful and I'll never forget you for it!

I went to the keg steakhouse and bar for my 65th birthday for steak and lobster well let’s start with the escargot stuffed mushrooms, well there was a greasy film over them, the steak was raw, the lobster was mushy, and the coffee was so strong it was undrinkable,
On the upside they got the baked potato right. So disappointed

It was fine tonight. Steaks were all perfect. Chicken slightly dry but not overly so. City construction however and those stupid bike lanes made parking a chore

Best part was food came in orderly system and did not get everything at once. The service was superlative. Low point was the steaks were not cooked to order and were not correct weight.same order two different looking pieces.

Server was very friendly. Bread was fresh out of the oven and appetizers were delicious (shrimp and escargot). I had the Oscar Sirloin, it was cooked to perfection. Everyone was very happy with their meal. You can never go wrong with The Keg!

Just simply awesome. Been going to the Keg for decades and can't recall the last time I had a bad meal here. Had the ribeye bone in steak and it was done to perfection. Service as always was friendly and quick.

I like this location the atmosphere is very comfortable, and the staff are great. The stsff are very good at their jobs good understanding of the menu and ask if you're satisfied with your dinner the right timing as not to spoil your meal. I also find the consistency of the food is amazing and enjoy my time here st least once a month. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Always tasty and good service but feels like the price goes up every time I visit. Getting a bit prohibitive.

Had a great business dinner at the Keg. All of the food was 100% delicious and the server was attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. I will definitely be back!

We were there last nite for a date night dinner. I must say I was for the first time a bit disappointed. It seemed that there was a big hurry to get us in and out. Asked if we anted bread. Yes we did. Ordered a bottle of wine.appetizer. My husband ordered Keg classic and his salad came very quickly and then the appetizer. We had not even finished it when the waiter asked if he could take it? He said our dinners were ready. So they came. He did not clear all the other plates away s o my husband placed them on hearth of fire place so we a bit more room. It was very rushed. On thing that I noticed right away was the reduced portion sizes. The Tuna tartar was quite a bit smaller than our last one.but still delicious. I barely had any brussell sprouts under my chicken. A bunch of leaves and only a couple actual sprouts. Will have to rethink our usual go to place now>> Sad.

Unfortunately the menu is all the same in all restaurants in Winnipeg. A burguer, some pasta and steak.

Steak frite order under. Smaller steak which is prone to overcooking, though the herbed butter is delicious and service was excellent.

Always an exceptional experience. The Prime Rib is the best in the city. My daughter has bad allergies and The Keg's attention to detail provides us with a strong level of confidence - in fact it is the only restaurant in the city that she feels comfortable dining at. The servers take detailed notes and a manager checks in. Great job Keg! Thank-you!

Food and service were great we all had steaks and escargot and brie super fun anniversary wirh family!

Really cozy and vintage-style restaurant with a lot of amazing food. A lot of different options from fish to chicken, including steak and seafood. The Sangria drink was amazing, the waiter was very polite and the waiting time for the main dishes was about 15-20 min. We've also ordered the Lobster gratinee as a starter and it was delicious! The photos are from these plates: Steak & Lobster, Steak & Crab and Pistachio Salmon. It is a bit expensive but for special occasions and for the quality of the food and the experience that you get I think that it is very worth it. With 4 people ordering a main dish + drinks + a starter (1 for all) (no desserts) the total including taxes and tip was around 250-300 CAD.

We went to The Keg on Garry for a birthday celebration. Our group was 8 people and they sat us in a very nice area where we could all see and converse with each other. Our server was friendly courteous and very attentive. Our needs were met with speed accuracy and friendly banter. The food was delivered in a prompt and timely manner. Our dinners were all cooked to perfection. The entire evening was excellent. Kudos to The Keg.

The meals are always so flavourful. And no other steakhouse grills a better steak. Absolutely mouth-watering.

The Keg Steakhouse & Bar in Winnipeg offers the same great food as all other locations of this franchise. The elements that made this particular restaurant stand out are the wonderful patio and the friendly staff. It's one of the best places to go to for some great dinner.

Staff is consistently friendly but i feel they've lost their touch on the food. The steak add ons, shrimp and scallops in our case, were not even seasoned. Noisy, dark. You are charged fine dining prices without the fine dining experience.

Today was a celebration for me and my boyfriend and it was an amazing night from the atmosphere which was very nice and classy but cozy and the food and drinks were amazing the service was great, highly recommended

The Restaurant Was great but the parking ticket was just as expensive as the meal!
