The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - St. James

Great food! Exceptional service, waiter went above and beyond to make us feel like we were visiting a friend's house rather then a restaurant! Had a very good experience.

First time, ordering New Year’s Eve at the keg, probably be the last time for New Year’s at least. Had the prime rib, probably the most salty prime rib taste I had in my life.

The way they put the order together and how they forgot stuff I think most orders are rushed through on New Year’s Eve.

We ordered the calamari which was forgotten by our server and cold when it was brought out. Nice atmosphere though.

We had booked a reservation at the end of the 2022 year for a party of 15. Unfortunately there was a group ahead of us that had been lounging well beyond the end of their meal, which led to nearly a 40min delay in our reservation time. The staff were incredibly apologetic (despite it being completely out of their control) and as an act of appreciation on the restaurant's end for our patience - the manager comp'd appetizers for the whole table, which was both incredibly generous and very much appreciated. Service was top notch and the food was of high quality, as per usual. Overall an excellent experience, one of the best we've ever had from any Keg across the country.

We had reservations for a table for4 people. We were seated at a small table for 2 which we rejected. We requested a larger table for comfort. The female waitress was very unfriendly throughout our stay. The Pepsi she brought was warm even with ice cubes. We had 2 ask for bread plates for the bread. The salads came out first then the bread. She took the finished salad bowls away and also the bread plates which we had to ask her to return. It was 4: 00 pm in the afternoon when we arrived and next to no one in the restraunt but shortly after arriving they seated another couple of people across from us. COVID going on and this was where they put the people. So close. We have always been very satisfied with the Keg In the past but all of this was very annoying. We always found the staff very friendly in the past but this experience was very distasteful and we will most likely not return. It was my son’s birthday we were celebrating and we were looking forward to a fun time. We thought that by coming early we would beat the rush. Sad performance from the Keg.

We had a reservation and the restaurant was right on time with that. Once seated our server Stephanie was fantastic and took great care of my group. The food & wine were great as well.

St. James Keg is our #1 favourite spot and good vibes location by far! Excellent food w/ perfect sirloin steaks & outstanding service because of the veteran servers that have been working there for years. We loved the wine our server suggested. Top notch ambiance & seating arrangements. I want my business to be like The Keg when it grows up.

Wish there would have been a couple of pasta options on the dinner menu, but there was nothing at all.

Keg size drinks now come in a very small glass which are double shots and very strong. Wish they would go back to how they used to be. I was quite disappointed.

The blackened Chicken was terrific, and so was the prime rib, garlic shrimp appetizer, and lobster.

Went with Family and friends was very disappointed with the prime Rib.
& steak dinner.
Meat was very tough?
We asked for sharper knives.
4 guests were from Winnipeg, 2 were from out of town.
I told the waiter at end of night.
Was a very busy night.
Don't think will be back anytime soon.

Our waitress Autumn was awesome! Prime rib dinner was spot on as always and finished off our meal for our 10th Anniversary with the Billy Miner pie! Deeeelish!

I had dinner on New Year's and the food and service was excellent on such a busy day.

We were a group of 8 people and about half of the meals were either over done or cold. Not sure if we will be back.

Went here on Dec 30th, it was busy, we understood that. Was told it would be 25-30min wait time, one hour later still waiting. Approached the front desk to ask for an update. Got the longest story about how they can't predict that. Also they had many available tables, people completed eating, paid their tabs but just hanging around. Finally asked, "so where are we on the list", still 6th in line. There were people with reservations that were forced to wait over their reservation times. Where was Management here? Manage your tables, why on a Friday night do you allow folks to just "hang" after they are paid up? We love the Keg just not this one. We won't be back. FYI, we went to Chops instead, got seated right away, food served extremely fast and fabulous service and amazing food.

Food, as always, was awesome. Service was good, but felt VERY rushed with our waitress. Atmosphere was very warm and inviting.

We were here 12/23/22 and the service was outstanding the food amazing! The staff was very accommodating when I had a little accident. They went beyond what they needed to to make it right. Thank you and Bless you all!

Very lovely dinner with family. Wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. Food was well prepared and tasty.

Comfy, cozy, and very friendly place to eat, food was quite expensive but well worth the money, and what place isn't expensive with the inflation happening lately. I suggest everyone eat here at least once in their lifetime, even though it's too pricey for some, well worth it

My wife and I went here for dinner this Saturday. It was busy, but the service was top notch, drinks were great, and the whole experience was as good as I would hope.

We go out a lot this really stands out. What a fantastic experience.

Our waitress was an absolute pleasure. She helped with e cards as I had no idea how to get them. The food was delicious as always.
