The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Fort McMurray

Foods is amazing.
If you like to go out for nice dinner, it's one of the best place in town.
Nite: if you like when it's quiet, you better call before, cause it can get pretty busy and loud when there is event.

Recently had the pleasure of dining at The Keg in Fort McMurray, Canada – truly a culinary adventure on top of the world, especially for a Floridian like myself!

The lobster bisque was a creamy delight with a generous helping of lobster chunks, making it a seafood lover's dream. The trice baked potato was nothing short of fantastic, stuffed with everything you could imagine – a potato masterpiece.

The bacon-wrapped scallops were scrumptious, though, as I jokingly thought, you could probably wrap old kitty litter with bacon and it would still taste good! The appetizers, stuffed mushrooms, and shrimp with bread, set the stage for a feast to remember.

Special shoutout to Tana, our server, who was nothing short of the best. She ensured our empty plates never lingered too long and kept our drink glasses from reaching empty status. Tana turned a great meal into a memorable experience. The Keg in Fort McMurray – where even bacon-wrapped scallops can't steal the show from top-notch service!

So don't really go here for a meal but our server was excellent. However, no draft beer, not able to blend drinks and the food, it was cooked very well but was no where near value. The full rack of ribs had hardly any meat and the lobsters where tiny. For a restaurant not the greatest

The Key is very consistent with good service and good food. We always leave there happy and full!

I've been to The Keg in other locations in Canada, and I have to say, I'm sorry but this is the worst location out of them all. Have visited this one a couple of times and the staff at the front who greet you are great, but once you step into the restaurant the servers seem not to be as friendly. The food here is also sub par to plain poor, and this is sad because The Keg in Saskatoon for example is just great, it is my favorite one, just goes to show that with franchises one can be a lot better than another, even if they share the same name. Avoid.

Our waitress was friendly and prompt. Dinner was a perfect way to end the day. My striploin steak was cooked perfect although my garlic mashed potatoes weren't actually mashed there were chunks of potatoes then mashed but they still tasted great. Had a Moscow mule (keg size) and always enjoy those.

It's the place to go for a good steak. Hats off to the chef's. Everything is to a perfection. And waitressing was good. They socialized a little to all they're tables; making sure of comfort and satisfaction

Atmosphere was welcoming and fit the description of a very good steakhouse. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She suggested appropriate add ons and service was prompt and efficient. Steak was cooked perfectly and to a tenderness expected for the grade of meat and quality. We would be happy to go back and enjoy another dinner there.

One of the few places for quality food in fort Mac. Steaks are cooked well, food is hot and fresh. Service can be spotty at times, but overall one of the best destinations in town for quality dining.

Food is pretty good staff are nice, the issue is the management clearly don't hire enough staff to work the floor. Classic management letting their workers down. For the price of the food, they should be able to hire more waiters and take some stress off the workers.

The food tasted great, and my steak was perfect. However, I found a hair in my lobster. They were quick to refire my meal, which was excellent. The service was concise and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and the furnishings were the best I had seen at a keg in many years.

The food was great and the server was great as well, we really enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. We will visit again. Did have a bit of a problem finding parking but finally did. We didn't get a reservation ahead of time but it was OK, we were still seating pretty quickly but I might make a reservation next time.
The restaurant itself was clean and pleasant and was dimly lit so if you don't like that type of atmosphere now you know but I really enjoyed the whole experience. 5 stars!

It was an ok experience, it was my first time to the keg ever and I had much higher expectations. For the price you pay I'd rather go somewhere like earls or even Brewhouse for a cheaper, similar experience

One of the best spots in Grand Prairie to grab a good steak and lots of TVs to watch any sports teams that you love.

Made a reservation for my dads 66th birthday, 1st one since retirement, it was a slow night, this was his at least 10th time there it was my 3rd, appetizers were prompt and great, drinks were great, service was goodish, my main 10oz fillet came out an hour after order, followed by my dads, absolutely over cooked from med rare to well done, it took so long for a replacement, my dad got his packed and took it home after he watched me eat mine…. Disappointed for sure, paid 200$ for a meal for 2 and barely even got a sorry, never would of happened at a joeys or earls

Overpriced now and smaller steaks than before, your basically paying for the ambience unless the smoke alarm goes off from someone leaving out the back connecting hotel door.l; special occasion place only.

Best fine dining Fort McMurray has to offer. Consistent food, service and experience.

Plus the AAA Alberta beef is an absolute must!

Valentines day dinner with the wife. The place was over booked & they were under staffed. Food came out quick but it was cold, under cooked and poorly seasoned. They were clearly focused on quantity over quality. For a $170 meal it was not worth it.
