I went to see Juliana for a highlights. Prior to my appointment I told her I wanted to have a light “Barbie blonde” highlights with a regular trim. The results after the service were horrific. I was left with bleach bleeds, as well the results were darker than my hair prior to coming in, also she trimmed my hair and it was left choppy (as pictured below). I contacted The Loft to voice my concerns about the service I was given, and I wanted a refund due to the horrible results of the service I did not want to risk my hair being damaged anymore in the hands of any stylists in the establishment. I do NOT recommend anyone going to this salon.

I have had a wonderful experience at Loft. All the stuffs were very friendly, polite and warm. My hair stylist was Samantha and she is very nice. She understood what I wanted and gave me the perfect hair style. I will go back again.

I had a great experience at The Loft salon. I booked a consultation and then a perm with stylist Heinz. I have very straight hair and he got a great result. Very happy!

Would not suggest going. I left feeling EXTREMELY insecure. I told the stylist what I wanted and she clearly didn’t know what she was doing and cut a BRICK above my EYEBROW I flipped my hair around trying to adjust it and someone asked if I ask for this, her response “she changed it” no. I “fixed” this awful mess you’re making me pay for Long story short—I left looking like freaking Dora with a half cut 3 finger length “side” bangs.

Went in to my appointment with Heinz and he was excellent! All staff were amazing too. Will be returning there in the future

First time for me at The Loft:) I saw Heinz he was awesome! I got a treatment and style done to my hair. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I have been in a slump as to what I can do with my hair and he gave me lots information and ideas we can do to enhance my features and give me a new look:) definitely going back! I have been getting my hair done by one of the owners, Danielle, for as long as I can remember. I went in for a toner (gloss), treatment and haircut which turned out exactly the way I wanted. When I told her I wanted face framing layers she made sure to ask me what length I wanted and showed me where they would sit. I LOVED my cut and the color was so shiny. She always takes extra time to give a relaxing massage during the wash and double checked my layers in the end. Highly recommend!

The Loft Salon is my favorite escape! The atmosphere is relaxing yet chic. They are constantly making improvements to the salon, including their most recent addition- a drink service for their clients. Staff at this salon are amazing and are so nice- they thrive at what they do and really do have their clients best interest at heart. It's what I have been looking for my entire life! 5 stars and would recommend to anyone looking to be treated like royalty.

Never ever get your haircut The Loft Salon • Spa • Bar they had an apprentice cut her hair when she was supposed to be scheduled with a more experienced stylist. The newbie shopped over 8 inches off when my daughter wanted a small trim. They don’t seem to understand that hair represents (cultural) identity either. The stylist left uneven chunks and poorly blended. My daughter had an ideal style she wanted for graduation and has been crying on and off for days that her hair is gone and it can’t be done. It was to the bottom of her back and now at her shoulders. Only remedy they did was have it blended better and a teeny sample of hair oil (I can get at Sephora) and 20% off her next visit

Well not going back there so that 20% off is a waste! To consider extensions wasnt an option because “they have renters as they don’t offer the service” therefore if she wants extensions it would have to be out of my pocket.

I wouldn’t be as upset if grad was coming, but they only “empathize.

After a long search for a stylist who would do a dope job on my very short hair, I booked an appointment with Heinz. He did a wicked job and was happy to take my hair to the next level.
The salon itself utls very clean and open, with friendly staff and an easy booking system.

Don't let the downtown location out you off from making an appointment, I was able to park directly outside the front door and there was tons of parking.

10/10 recommend!

I got a very good experience with Gina. I wanted to do highlights to my hair, but before doing that she asked if I relaxed my hair or did other chemicals. We tried to do a small part before doing my hair and my hair rejected it. Instead, she did a very good haircut and made my hair shiny, soft and healthy-looking. I would definitely come again!

The person who did my hair was very kind and i think she’s a great person. But I just didn’t love my results. It didn’t look very professional, it looked box dye like. I could’ve done a better job. It also wasn’t cheap. I contacted them but was told to spend more money on my hair to get it blended and buy expensive shampoos. I wish I could get my money back and just went to shoppers and spent $20 instead of $200+ on this. These were the results of the next day of the dye job, no washing or products etc. A total rip off. This was my first time going to a salon and it’ll be my last. Box dye wouldn’t treat me like this

First time I've been there, and the place is amazing. Seems like a bunch of new renos have happened and the place is beautiful, staff is friendly, and has a great vibe. Will take pictures when I'm back next time and eager to see how this place evolves with new ownership!

I went to see Heinz! I was nervous due to mistrust of previous salons and stylists but Heinz was AMAZING! Made me feel like a whole new person! Definitely going back!

Gerald is my go-to stylist, and he cares so deeply for his salon. The staff are always so friendly, and especially now during Covid-19, they are taking so much consideration in health and safety for their team and clientele.

I booked an appointment with the hairdresser HEINZ very professional and talented, needed a perm done with short notice and he stepped up to the plate and booked me in 2 days after I called in. HEINZ cleaned everything before and after each use and completed the perm in a very timely manner. I would 10/10 recommend booking with him.

I would not recommend this place at all. I went for a cut and highlights and came out with my hair ruined. The cut was fine as all I asked for was a straight edged long bob one length. However the colorer left dye in my hair so long it fried my hair and permanently damaged it. I have very fine hair and the woman walked away for over 1.5 hours to deal with 2 other clients and did not check in with me. She did not ask what highlight color I wanted, she gave me unnatural looking streaks and when I asked her to fix it I was given attitude that she knew what was in style and best for my hair. When I emailed The Loft to explain what happened, they offered me a free manicure or pedicure and said they couldn't do anything else. This place has terrible customer service and this isn't the first time I have been there. I would not recommend at alll.

I went to this salon to get hair color done and I was trying different shade first time from dark brown hair. I liked the color that they did on my hair even though it was lighter brown than I expected. Only after 1 wash it started fading away and just in 10 days my hair is much lighter and golden which I never expected. As per my hair stylist color should have stayed atleast for 4-5 weeks. I talked to my hair stylist right after first hairwash, she told me that she will book appointment which she delayed 3 times. It's been more than 15 days and my hair color faded so fast. I am very disappointed about it. I would never recommend to anybody.

Today was my fourth or fifth time coming in to The Loft. Everytime I go, I am amazed by the professionalism and superb customer service.
My first experience was with Gerald, he is amazing. He chopped my shoulder length hair and was more excited about going blonde than I was. I went back three times to have him touch it up.
They also did my hair and makeup last October for my wedding, Amy did my hair and I can’t remember the makeup artist’s name. They were both friendly and super-professional!
Today I went in to have my recent buzz cut straightened out. I booked with Tyler and I have to say he is so amazing! He listened to me about what I was doing, and took the time afterwards to explain what I could expect as I grow out my hair.
I now live out-of-province, but will make the trip in to get my hair done here.
I have recommended The Loft to many people, and will continue to do so because they deserve it!

Paid for tape in extensions and coloring, the extensions were supposed to last at least 2 months before re doing them, they were falling down in less than. 3 days. Also the color started to fade in less than a week. Stylist claimed it was natural.did them again and now same thing is happening. Overpriced and terrible service. Last year was great now a complete disaster!

I’m a recently returning client, having been a Sets client many years ago. I returned amid Covid and I was very happy with the measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety—Covid policy in place. Temperature was taken, hands sanitized. Everyone was in masks. The chairs are very spaced out and there were no blow dryers in use when I was there. I was very pleased with my service, as usual. They have a great selection of products, which is nice as it is the easiest time to buy your hair products—right after getting a new cut/colour.

Amy was the best stylist I have had. A little behind on the appointment but that is typical when you are the last appointment of the day no matter who you are with. Looking forward to the next hassle free cut and I don't like hair cuts.

I'm sure this salon is great and I'm sure they have great stylists and for the price you pay its expected perfection every time. I'm sure there are many people who have had positive experiences here and always come back and I wish I could say this for me. I am super disappointed with the way my hair came out, it was so bad I have to go back to get it fixed and it's still not good enough so I will be going to get it fixed elsewhere. I will not be coming back to the loft

Found a really good mens hairdresser here. Reasonable pricing for the most part - expected it to be far more expensive. Haven't got any pressure to buy expensive gels and product etc. Easy to use online booking system is nice.

I have been to this place four times now.
First, i went here for seeing the stylist to get an estimate and idea of what i was getting.
Then, i went here fo get my colour, 3rd time to get my colour fixed. And finally to get my colour retoned.

The photo that i had shown for the hair colour i wanted, was totally different from how it turned out. I was definitely very upset.
And then i had to go back and spend 3 hours again to get it fixed. Although, I didn’t want to. So during this appointment, they did not style my hair and said that would cost extra. Well, that wasn’t my fault that the colour wasn’t done properly.
I had asked for Balayage, but she gave me kind of Ombre which looked totally different, most of my hair was still my natural hair colour. A d she did not show me the colour in the mirror.
After she finished my hair colour, she told me not to go in water, which she knew the reason i was getting hair colour because i was going for vacation to Mexico, I wonder why she couldn’t tell me beforehand that red colour comes off. Not to forget that while washing my hair, the water was all inside my shirt and my ears, making me wet with cold water.
My Last hair colour was blonde balayage so i had no idea that red colour will come off if i wet my hair.

And when i went to get hair retoned, i washed my hair after few days and noticed my hair was all damaged. I contacted the stylist but she said i just need a haircut. My hair was damaged and rough entirely. I had never seen my hair like this before.
The charges were super pricy and not worth it at all.
I will never go here again. Very unfortunate, the stylist was a pro in blonde hair colour but she still agreed to give ref hair colour to me, instead of suggesting someone else.
I would not recommend this place, it is very busy, sometimes they will ask u for coffe and water and other times they won’t.
Some staff will smile at you and others won’t.

The ladies who did our nails did a good job but couldn't understand what we were asking for. If you want nail art. Make sure you tell them if you want nail art when you book the appointment.

Great atmosphere, even better staff and talent. I went to Leslie after experiencing a butchered cut on my hair from another barber the day before. She was able to save me some dignity, and was skilled every step of the way in doing so. Prices were also reasonable. Thankful to have found this place, and will definitely be back!

I had three services with Hanna today and she was more than excellent. I got a hybrid lash set, shellac mani and regular pedi. I am so blown away by how gentle and multi-talented she is. I booked my next service and am very much looking forward to it.

I have been coming to this establishment for years. Always great service from my hair stylist. The salon it self though needs a lot of work. Nothing has changed since the 90's. If you have come here you know that the assistance have a hard time controlling the temperature of the wash stations, there is dust as thick as ever on all the light fixtures and a lot of the place is falling apart. I only come back because of my hair stylist, other wise I would take the high rate and go somewhere that is more ecstatically pleasing. I figured after the new ownership took over a couple years ago there would have been updates. The only thing that was updated was a photo backdrop and they started serving liquor.
