The Old Spaghetti Factory (Winnipeg)

I absolutely love The Old Spaghetti Factory! It's an amazing go-to restaurant. The cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family.
Danny is an absolute gem of a server! I always ask to be placed in his section of the restaurant. He has this incredible ability to communicate in a concise and clear manner, making every interaction with him a breeze. Not only that, but he always treats everyone with the utmost respect, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. And let's not forget about his kindness! Danny goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels valued and cared for. His genuine warmth and compassion have a way of brightening up even the gloomiest of days. It's truly a pleasure to have someone like Danny be our server.

Kennedy H was our server tonight. She was very friendly and knew a lot about the menu. She was very quick and professional. Food taste so delicious and ckicken wings with honey garlic what I order tasted so nice.

The ravioli was fantastic, great value for everything you get. Braedon was a great server very fast and handsome.

We had an amazing meal and the recommendations made by our server Caelin were perfect!

The food was terrific and the service Caelin provided was great. Sorry we could not leave a bigger tip!

We will be back for sure.

12/06/2023. The Old Spaghetti Factory was ok. There was a group of us out for dinner. I am going to assume that they were short staffed as the service was mediocre. Wine had to be ordered 3 separate times as they were out of the first two choices. The food was ok. The plate was warm but the food was only like worm and that included the soup. The flavour was good and it wasn’t spicy. The place was very clean and that included the washroom. All in all about average. Not my first choice of places to dine.

We went on the week day evening expecting not be busy, and which the restaurant wasn’t, however we had to wait for good half an hour to be seated. The food was cold and not cooked properly, which made us fall sick after the visit. Cutlery was smelly and not washed properly. Though the service was acceptable.

Very courteous service. Designed with commitment. Unfortunately, the pasta was average: too soft and no longer quite warm

Very slow service. Discourteous staff. Bad food. Would give 0 stars if I could. Go elsewhere.

We love the old spaghetti factory! Very good value for the price. The decor needs an upgrade but we'll be back for the food. We had great service as well.

Since writing this review, I have spoken with the manager who has confirmed that all staff has been encouraged to look for small details. They asked for information in order to find the waitress who helped us and educated her. So, we are happy. We will go back to try the chicken parmasean. Looks amazing.

The waitress was not on top of things at all. She would bring one person a refill and not the other. She forgot to bring the ketchup and my partner waited for 5 to 10 min while her food got cold. My food got cold because I am not rude and I waited for her ketchup to come. The soup was cold and I was not asked why it was set to the side. An extra 2 dollars. THEN, to top it all off, the machine prompted for a 20% tip. That is a lot for a meal that deserved a 10% tip at most. I am not happy. The restaurant was packed. So, I guess that they won't miss my patronage. I am hoping that this review will either cause them to add more waitors, ask for less of a tip and perhaps encourage the staff to take the time to making the visit pleasurable. So annoyed. That was our date night and I wasted my money.

Food and atmosphere are good. Their battered appetizers are crunchy and the Pesto Linguine taste amazing.

Never tried the restaurant before. Enjoyed myself and the service was fast. I went in blind and was surprised. Thank you for the hospitality.

To start, the positives are the price and the additional extras like the bread which was never in short supply. Sadly the server was below average, they were very slow and uninterested. The food was average, the lasagne has a taste one would expect from a canned pasta. The prices are good compared to the competition.

Margarette was our server tonight and she was really great and professional! She didn't know all the information about drinks but that was okay because she took the initiative to find out and answer our questions. The food was amazing and made for a great experience on our first night in Winnipeg

We came in without a reservation with a party of 11 people and they worked to get us in quickly. Our server Keith was excellent. He took care of us, especially my son who has celiac disease.

We came on a Friday night. It was packed but service is great. Loved all the sides (salad/soup, bread, icecream, coffee/tea). We enjoyed the night and will definitely comeback.

Service was a little slow today however the food was tasty and this restaurant always offers the best bang for your buck!

Amazing food and a gorgeous place over all! A bit expensive, but it is Italian food. Highly recommended and the service is great!

The restaurant wasn't very busy but service was not good. We asked for water along with our drinks and we never got it. She said she'd be right back with more bread and she wasn't. The soup was barely warm. We finished our drinks halfway through the meal and never received anything else to drink.

I have not been there in some time but if you are looking for a full meal at a affordable cost and a cool atmosphere it is a decent place to eat, not the best food not the worst and at best of times decently dusty in there but it is nostalgic and a place most People in Winnipeg have eaten at some time, give it a try and check out their huge vase near the front. They are open for banquets and events and birthdays as well as your regular sit down meal, if you are looking for some pasta the most it will usually run you with salad/soup and a dessert is around 15-20 dollars

We love this place it’s a Winnipeg institution. Love the soup and bread and my kids love their spaghetti. It’s a fun day trip and kids love it.

It may not be one in other provinces, but in Winnipeg The Old Spaghetti Factory has been a long established staple to the city. Place is always clean, people are always friendly. Service has been continual but not over the top. Washrooms are the cleanest washrooms I've ever seen. They also pay attention to details. Even have staff going outside watering the plants. It's no wonder my wife loves coming here so much. I have to edit this review and say, everyone is doing their jobs and doing it so well. Tables don't stay dirty either. Too much to say. Our server Shannon was great too!

This is an awesome place, they have done a great job of dealing with covid and the free bread is just awesome. Definitely would recommend

Love the mizithra. Loved going to this restaurant. They feed you and get you out quickly. It's awesome that I can order it from door dash. Its definitely one of my favorite foods
