The units facing Pembina Hwy have the loudest traffic passing by at all hours, if you don't want to sleep past 6: 00 am this is the place for you. Sound proofing is not strong enough to cover all the car, bus and truck noises. Plus the air flow to the units comes ONLY from the polluted street. Very unhealthy living environment.

This the most absurd apartment i have ever been to. There are two separate entrance doors on west and east does not have connection points, if they did, there were no appropriate signs of saying how I can go to the other side inside the building. I am so frustrated of how a visitor like me has to walk around the building twice to find a public entrance to the apartment I want to get to. There are no signs at parking lot whether to indicate west or east side of the entrance. Its the worst and inaccessible apartment I have been in my life. Whoever planned this blue print, forgot to think about folks who have no clue of where things are.

Applied for a few units here, got no replies and the number of units got smaller and smaller until there was nothing left. Lost a lot of time and patience with them. Not recommended

Booked a viewing for a specific time and date. Never got contacted or emailed, the phone line is constantly 'busy' and asks to leave a message. I had waited in the visitors parking for 20 minutes at my appointment time before I gave up after calling multiple times. It doesn't matter what the apartment is like if you don't even care about your prospective tenants and their time.

Walls are thin
People above me stomp all hours, hard to get sleep.
Management and concierge are rarely around
Voice a complaint and told to “prove it with recording “
Don’t smoke, yet building constantly smells of weed
Cigarette ashes in underground parking, they know where the cameras are
Only seem to vacuum once a month
Building is shifting, some doors don’t close, and the quartz counters are showing signs of stress
Location is the main reason I stay, hard to find 3 bed in this area to rent
Maintenance guys are really good to deal with, had to get their number, management is flakey at best
Hot water is included, that helps
Building is secure, been multiple break in attempts, doors still show signs of attempts
Underground parking is used by lots who don’t pay, especially when winter comes around, but so far is a nuisance only

Wnet there in the office for a viewing and had a very bad experience. The office being the first impression of the apartment was worst and I don’t think i would like to move in anymore. They never offered us to sit and we just stood by the door while time. Not very welcoming and not warm at all

I am glad to share my special experience when I lived here. One night in last March, I was in the lobby (next to the Starbucks coffee machine, anyone who lives here will know that you need a fob to enter the building to this place) to get Dominos, Then a homeless man followed me up the elevator and into my home and behaved inappropriately towards me which was a very bad experience. But the worse thing is yet to come. This incident happened at 11pm, and I immediately contacted the management staff in the building the next morning, but they told me that the management would not have time to see me until three days later (this is really shocked me, my life was threatened here, and this apartment told me to wait!) And the conversation with the building management afterwards was even more disgusting, she didn't even tell me a sorry by these happened in this apartment, and her attitude towards me is very bad! ! ! I told she clearly that I have no way to continue living here. This happened only ten days after I signed my rental contract, on the first night when I moved all the furniture in. On the third day, I made an appointment for the moving elevator, removed all my furniture also reported it to the residential branch, and left the keys in the reception one night. This experience caused me psychological problems, after which I began to receive psychotherapy. And the most absurd thing happened seven months later, when I found out that this apartment took me to court and demanded three months of rent from me (they said I moved out without informing them, resulting in their room being vacant all the time, And they need me to compensate for their loss) This is ridiculous, when I met with their building management, I clearly told her that I think it is not safe to live here and I need to move out, even I made an appointment for a moving elevator! Anyway, I hope that people who plan to live here should choose carefully after reading this comment! Thank for your time!

Because of the leaking, my home already becomes a place where is not suitable for human to life, and I still need to PAY FULL RENT and managers don’t care. My floor and ceiling are about to be removed, I have to inhale a lot of wall dust every day, and the paint smell in the house makes me CAN’T BREATHE! Trying to contact managers, and they never respond. So sad so bad.

Manager are very nice before you moved in here. Once you are in, you are on your own.

The burst water pipe on the sixth floor caused water seep to my unit, after 3 months of repair, the manager Kaitlyn refused to replace the unit for me even they have a lot of empty units.

The option they gave me was that I need to renew my contract for another 12 months so they can let me live in a normal unit. Which is an overbearing option.

Trust me, if nothing happened while you live here, you only have to facing “Endless noise and Vandalism of your vehicle. ” If there are things happed, you are totally on your own.

The fire alarm may go off at any time, and the fire alarm goes off frequently for no apparent reason. You may suddenly hear the fire alarm at 3 am or later, and it will make you nervous! I already feeling crazy about this. And the property manager Kaitlyn, She's so rude and I think she's racist. I knew a lot of people seemed to be complaining about her, but the company chose not to give any response to the question. I have lived here for almost three years. Our car was entered by a thief and stole many things on a Saturday midnight. But, When we asked the property manager (Kaitlyn) She replied that the monitor at the back happened to be broken, and cannot see who the thief was? And the car will also be towed in its own parking space, so why do we pay $75 per month for parking.

Ps: These videos were taken on Dec 5,2022 at 3: 15am. I was asleep，suddenly I jump from my bed because the FIRE ALARM! My heart was beating so fast that I suddenly felt breathless, and I was already going through psychological problems from this Fire alarm.

Not safe, please don’t live here! My car’s windows was broken by someone in my own parking spot, parking lot number 53. However, the manager doesn’t even care about it.

My wife and I have been living at the Onyx now for a month. The suite was handed over in great condition and very clean, and although the view to the north is obstructed, you can still see the northern lights! As a newcomer, I was hoping for an apartment building which was well looked after with plenty of amenities. I was looking for something easily accessible by public transport and near stores. I was hoping for friendly management and staff. Trust me, if you are hoping for the same thing I was hoping for, you'll get these in spades! Don't be put off by early reviews, this is an excellent place to live and if you are considering moving here, just pull the trigger! Special mention for Latchmin, Kaitlyn and all the staff in the building for how fantastic their customer service and support is!

I wish i could give a - 5 stars because this is the worst appartment I’ve stayed in. The property manager (Kaitlyn). Is soo rude and i think she’s racist as well. Alot of people seems to be complaining about her yet the company choses not to do anything about the issue. I’ve stayed here for 2 years. The previous property managers were better by a mile. Won’t advise anyone to stay in this appartment.

My girlfriend and I lived at the Onyx for nearly a year with out small dog, we both enjoyed living there and loved how close it was to grocery stores and how easy it was to get around Winnipeg from Pembina. The apartments finished to a high standard, and friend always commented on how nice our apartment was. We both took full advantage of the gym, sauna and rooftop BBQ!
We both got on really well with the staff, and always stopped to talk to them, Kaitlyn the property manager seems to take a bad wrap on here but we honestly couldn't fault her, and thought she was always very approachable and really helped us out with anything that we needed.
Remember people are much more inclined to write a bad review than a good one, so take them with a pinch of salt. Be kind and courteous to people and you'll have a great experience!

Great place to live if you're a student or starting out your career as a professional. Great amenities, friendly staff and the location is unparalleled as far as convenience goes.

Moved into a brand new apartment and I love it. My dog and I are really enjoying the area and the neighbors and staff are really friendly.

I Prefer give 0 if I can. The worst and awful building I have ever been to. It takes 30 mins for me to find the suite room. The direction are totally messed up.

Stayed here a year now. Some problems associated with a new building, but all over well-managed and great staff. Location is central, not quite in Winnipeg Central but close to the bus route and accessible. I'm also told it's in a good school area.

Online on kijiji, it shows 1280$ per month, but u dont have any of them! Then why are u posting that ad again and again. Its better to remove that price if u dont have that unit available with that price. Please stop such a way to attract the customer. Seriously its disappointing.

Just moved in at the onyx. LOVE IT! So many amenities and perks. My friends and family compliment me every time to come to visit. Who doesn't want a Starbucks in their lobby:) Highly recommended!
