Apple pancake will always be my favourite, chefs are mid, service was good. Low atmosphere.

I was reading comments from other visitors and almost didn't enter. The truth is that it went very well for me the 3 times I came for breakfast, the restaurant is busy but the service they offered me was very good. The food is delicious and I'm not a bacon lover. Both the sweet and the salty taste very good, each plate is very large and its quantity versus price and quality is in agreement. The apple pancake is huge, the truth is it's almost enough for 3 people. Not all restaurants are for everyone's tastes, but I totally liked this one. And apart from everything, they offer you all the coffee you want to drink.

Came with a group of 10 people. They messed up one person's order and it took over 40 minutes for a burger and fries to come. The waiter also didn't fill up our drinks throughout the night. The food overall tasted good.

The food here is good as always. We recommend the vegetarian crepes and the chicken & waffles. We also like the pancakes here. This is one of our favorite breakfast spots.

I wish they re-introduce the potato pancakes that I haven't seen on their menu in a while.

Food was amazing and I loved the atmosphere of this place! I saw they also had gluten free and vegan options for their pancakes and waffles so I am very excited to go back to try those. My server was unfortunately not good at all but another server, Kori, was phenomenal and went out of his way to repair the experience and the manager/owner was very nice and open to listening and apologetic about the situation. I am excited to try it again next time I am back in Winnipeg!

Great breakfast! And service was good too! Great for a brunch then to go explore the shops at old spaghetti factory building!

Waffles were kind of dry and no one sticks around the host station to seat ppl and collect payment. Server was fast but it's a bit of a wait at the host station.

Decent food. Terrible service. We were ready to order and the girl waiter said “okay” and walked away to take 2 other tables orders. We felt ignored, were disappointed and left as our drinks came. Wasn’t the first time I was treated like that. Go enjoy Dannys all day and breakfast steps away!

We go here often when we go to the Forks. I don't like their hashbrowns, because they're very wet. And their coke always tastes flat. They give good portions though, and service is usually fast and friendly.

Poor service, slow, Very dirty and servers looked unprofessional (guy with ripped pants and stains) also sat people at dirty tables. 30 mins for pancakes.

Always go for big family breakfasts, don't usually wait to long, most staff are friendly and efficient.

For the past couple of years our luck has been terrible for dining experiences at other establishments to a point we stopped mostly dining out! No matter breakfast, lunch or Supper.either the service is really terrible or the food is terrible OR the quality of the food for the price is disgusting. BUT. Today at the Pancake House we had great service and a fantastic lunch at a great price. EUREKA! We finally found a place to dine and bring friends and family with us. Thank-You Kalie and Pancake House for the fantastic service with a big smile. It was like winning a trifecta with Food, Service, and Price to toss in front row parking, Makes me a happy camper! Definitely will be going back. Yes I tipped well.

Wow, used to love coming to this place, but after waiting over 45 minutes for simple bacon/eggs… I’ll be going to Danny’s breakfast from now on. I watched 2 orders come out to people that arrived well after me, so it was clearly a mess up on their part… no apologies from them either. Poor service

They seated us but never even came to ask for our drinks or anything for a half-hour and the people that came in after us got seated right behind us and they got their drinks so we just left

Mediocre food, slow service. Rather surprising that a "pancake house" does not have real maple syrup.

The service was pretty bad. My partner had to get up several times to find a server because we would be ignored for very long stretches of time. The coffee was bitter and not very hot. Everything on the menu was overpriced. Ordered the eggs Benny and it was so cold I asked them to remake it. When it came back out it was tasteless. The hollandaise sauce was like water. I would give 1 star but my wife ordered the apple pancake which was somehow piping hot and delicious. However, everything else was a big disappointment.

Service was lacking. German apple pancake was good, if not a little too sweet. Omelet was fried dry and tasteless. Kids breakfast was dry as well.

Worst restaurant experience ever. First of all, after placing most of my order, the waitress then turned to my male companion and asked, "And you'll be sharing that? " Excuse me? No. I would like my own plate, thank you very much.

It went downhill from there.

Every other restaurant I've been in, when someone at our table had an issue with how their food was prepared, the entire plate was taken back to the kitchen to be corrected. Not this time. Both plates with the unsatisfactory food were left on the table, and the waitress, who turned out to be a "supervisor, " then proceeded to bring out new plates with more food (which still wasn't prepared to our satisfaction.) Honestly, we should have walked out when the mouse ran by on the little brick ledge on the wall just below table height before anyone even came to see if we wanted something to drink.

Some of the worst service I’ve ever had. The guy serving us was frantic and forgetful, never checked up on us, didn’t refill our coffees until after we were done eating didn’t bring us waters even after asking the only two times he was with us. The guy wasn’t even busy he had maybe 5 tables but was more concerned about yelling at the new host who was up front. Surprised this guy still has a job, I’ve been serving for 10 years and any place I worked at would have me fired for this poor of a performance.

A little bit slow serving everyone, but they were super friendly. The pancakes weren’t anything too special but they were still good. And it’s very reasonably priced

It was busy when we got there. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table for 6, but we got in very quickly.

This is no the restaurant that used to be, foreign-born servers struggled to communicate, several mistakes were done but we let it go, food quantity was small and quality average, not recommended.

Waited forever to get a seat and they had scratched my name off the waiting list without calling me. My meal was under par. Short on the bacon and the pancakes were cold and under cooked. Sad cause I used to love the place.

Super slow service. Sat there waiting for over 20 minutes for them to take our order when the restaurant wasn't even full. Wouldn't recommend this place if you dont plan on sitting around for an hour

We thought it was pretty cheaply priced, too, for how good the food was. However, the scramble I ordered wasn't very hot. That was a bit disappointing, but it still tasted great, and our server was awesome.

The giant apple pancake is a must try! Think of an apple pie with pancake as a crust with the right amount of cinnamon. Drench it in Canadian maple syrup and it is next level.

Didn't end up eating there. They were totally unorganized. Was told 30 minutes wait, came back and was told at least another 30-40 minutes. Chaos

It's been years since I've eaten at this location and I have no idea what the problem was, but there were a slew of issues. The place was understaffed, despite there being about 8 people gathered at the cash register. Still don't understand that. The level of noise in the restaurant was surprisingly loud, like so loud we had difficulty hearing one another from a couple feet apart. We were sat extremely close to others, I guess no consideration for public health orders? They sandwiched us into the corner shoulder-to-shoulder with other tables, it was silliness.

When we were finally seated after a 30 minute wait for the table, they took our drink order bringing us coffee without any spoons for stirring. It took around 45 minutes for anyone else to come back to our table. During that time, another group left and a new one was seated, their order taken, and their drinks brought out. Meanwhile, my friend and I still had not ordered our food. When someone finally came to take our order, it was a different server, which was fine.

The food that was brought out took very little time to prepare and yet was cold. We then waited another ridiculous amount of time for someone to come bring us the bill. Suffice it to say we probably won't go back anytime soon.

Personeel super friendly, but food were less than average and the pancakes was raw. The worst hot chocolate and coffee.

Bad service and bad food. Food was placed in front of us and then we didn’t see our waiter until over half an hour later (even though it was dead in there). Eggs were extremely raw. Definitely wouldn’t go back.

Okay food, waited 45 minutes for food when the restaurant was empty, pretty hard to screw breakfast up that bad. Won't be back

A Winnipeg tradition. Farmers sausage scramble with hash was most tasty, and enough to keep me full for the day.

A very comfortable restaurant located in the forks market and some absolutely wonderful pancakes. Very affordable pricing and kid friendly.

First time going to the Pancake House at this location and the food was superb! The menu was smaller than I expected but still had plenty to offer, only complaint was that the coffee was extremely strong.

The original Pancake House at the Forks est un incontournable pour un déjeuner presque parfait. Le menu est varié du sucré au salé, pour tous les goûts, les traditionnelles PANCAKES sont en vedettes. Le service est lent, nous avons attendu 35 min avant de recevoir notre repas et le choix était des plats populaires, rien de compliqués. Le déjeuner était délicieux et savoureux. La serveuse fait tout son possible pour rendre l’attente agréable. Les prix sont modérés.

Food and service were excellent. I had something floating in my water glass (not ice) and a dirty container to put leftovers in. The waitress fixed both issues, and she was friendly, courteous and professional.

Waited 45 minutes on a weekday morning to be served a very mediocre breakfast. Would not go back.

I found serving staff open to my requests to modify Pancake House menu item by not putting cream & syrup on my crepes.

Ordered through door dash was missing a whole other meal, food was ice cold when it arrived and the meat tasted off. When called to inquiry about the missing meal you can tell the staff truly did not care in anyway.

We ordered our food at 2: 30pm but weren't served till 3: 15, we also saw other people who arrived after us served their food well before us. We had asked for everything to come out together ordered 2 breakfast and a poutine. Breakfast came out, missing toast and poutine. Came out 20 minutes later when we were almost finished our food. The things that weren't bad were great but having a good lunch shouldn't be a gamble.

We waited well over 45 minutes after we ordered. Pancakes were over cooked and the scrambled eggs were dry as dust. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and we came during the week. Never coming back, very disappointed.

Meh. Food was cold. No one came to offer a second cup of coffee. Service very unattentive. It wasn't horrible but when breakfast is 25 dollars per person (pretty standard) there are better places.

Enjoyed the food here, the waitress could have done a better job at noting down our order because she messed up twice or thrice, which caused a delay in service, but for myself it was worth the wait; other than that, very cordial service and great flavour food. Pancakes were a little bit denser/thicker than I'd preferred, but the toppings were generous. Also had the triple decker clubhouse sandwich with fries and coleslaw - the salad was so creamy and just amazing! I wished they served a little more of it because the quantity of salad they serve is barely a mouthful. Great brunch nevertheless!

Pancakes taste like they were taken out of a box of no name brand pancakes. Slow service while there were hardly any customers in restaurant.

Don't advertise yourself as a pancake House if your pancakes aren't good, especially an "original" pancake house. Worst breakfast I've had in Winnipeg, and I had McDonald's and A&W in the last week.

Lovely breakfast. Attentive server. Just had to wait at front desk for a couple of minutes before anyone noticed us tenser us.but. 25% of occupancy probably means fewer staff.

Food never disappoints here, always taste great. Sure it gets a little busy at times but for the amount of people they serve, the service is still good and staff always polite

Server was easy to deal with but overall very slow service- dirty patio, dirty dishes and the left over food on tables for a long time attracted lots of wasps and bugs. Lipstick on coffee cup. Food was decent. Between the time we sat down and paid our bill it was just over 2 hours and only a very small portion of that was actually eating the food we ordered. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone in a rush.

In an almost empty restaurant it took over 30 minutes to get our food and around 20 minutes after we were seated for the server to show up. Food tasted like it had been under the heating lamp too long. We asked for a box as we were leaving and it took 20 minutes to get one. We had to go up and ask again. The staff were standing around chatting a lot. A shame since I've had great experiences at other locations.

Will not return again, shameful service. We arrived at the place. We arrived at a front counter that said to go to the front counter to be seated.no one is there. No one comes by. We wander around looking for someone. Find someone, she rudely points, you need to go over THERE! Told her we were waiting there and no one shows up. She then says, "Did you want to stay on the patio or the dining room? " We say wherever we will be seated the fastest. She wanders away.then returns a few minutes later and says "Dining room". We follow her, and she says, please sit wherever you want. There were two seats available. We go to sit in a booth, "NOT THERE! " she yells. So we go to the ONLY other seat in the room.she seats us at a dirty table, and there is containers of warm cream on it. "What do you want to drink? " We say coffee. She leaves, comes back with coffee, and tosses cream containers onto the table. She leaves without a word. There was lipstick all over my coffee cup, and it was very obviously there. We sit there for 20 minutes. We watch as people who came in after us are served. We waiting 25 minutes in total and not a single person comes up to us. We go to the front counter and speak with someone (who is actually there). She was not wearing a uniform so we assume she was in management. We tell her we are leaving and why. Her words: "Oh no. " That was it. No apology, no wanting to know who served us, nothing. I could not believe how terrible the service was. My family will not be returning to that restaurant. If you want a pancake meal, go to the location on pembina hwy. Stay away from the Forks location, they have no standards.

This is a beautiful restaurant. I was surprised. Went there for breakfast and had extremely prompt service. The coffee was well priced and unlimited, so can't complain, and the pancakes were quite poofy and flavourful. Great for a quick date out for breakfast or a Sunday meal with the fam for a manageable price. Staff are very pleasant and prompt but not rushy. One thing which we didn't know is that you pay at the front, so just heads up on that

Some menu items are great, but others are unimpressive. Service is always slow.

I recommend the crepes with farmer sausage and cheese.
