I was very shocked and disappointed to see the price increase when I went to book our dog Sailor in for daycare and nail trim. The old price was $36 for a full day and $13 for nail trim, and now it's $52 for a full day and $28 for nail trim? ! It's unfortunate because Sailor loved seeing her human and furry friends at the Portage location. Unfortunately with the new pricing we are forced to look elsewhere.

Hi, I’ve used the pawsh dog for a number of years now. In the beginning things were done very well. In recent years there has been a noticeable decline in services for the charges rendered. Too be blunt…$95.00 for a wash and hair cut for a 15lb dog is quite outrageous. As a human being I’m able to receive a wash, cut and shave for $70.00 @ a high end Barbour.
As a business owner I understand everyone needs to make a profit.
All I’m looking for is a fair price for services rendered.

I’ve been going to this location for years. My 79 lbs golden retriever was usually under $100.00 until a year ago when it went up to $135.00. I last paid $135 in December in 2022. Fast forward to today I was asked to pay close to $200.00 for the very same service. My dog was there for 2 hours. I have no words and unfortunately won’t be back as a customer. My dog does look good but I feel this price is completely unrealistic. For the same price I a human being, could get an hour massage, haircut and shave at Tommy Guns, a $20 proline ticket and a case of beer while I watch the Jets lose to Vegas. Unreal

Grooming - LOVE this place and Angela did such a great job! My dog is Shep/Husky/Collie mix and has a BIG undercoat! Angela did a wonderful job deshedding all of that and he smells wonderful and feels thinner! He loves getting groomed and his nails done as I did them since he was a puppy so he didn't cause any grief there! She did a great job trimming everything up, cutting nails and Dews and moisturizing paw pads as well.

They also give a report card to tell you how eyes/ears etc look at how your fur baby did during the grooming etc - love it!

We just moved here and with so many new people/places I wasn't sure if he would be anxious at a new place but NOPE! He loved going in there, was happy to go with them and enjoyed the grooming. Very pleased with their service, will go again and also be going for some doggy daycare soon too! Thanks Pawsh Dog on Portage - you rock!

My girl is always excited to go for playtime at the day camp. She gets super happy and excited when she sees the staff. This is how I know I found a great place for my best friend.

We took our dogs to the Portage Ave West location for many years but have felt lately that the cleanliness of the facility and the service and quality of the cut has gone downhill.

I wish I'd read the reviews more thoroughly before trusting Pawsh Dog Portage Ave.
I took my dog there for about 7 months. For the most part it was good however I noticed on her second last time she came home with scab marks where you could see she had been bitten.
Her last stay she was in a fight to which Pawsh put the blame on her and said she is only welcome back should I get her training which they offer at a cost. I reviewed their video and agreed with the staff member my dog was protecting.not attacking however the mgmt still stands by their decision.
They also offered their "serenity" care which is the dog, alone in a room for hours. My dog came home losing nearly 10% of her weight in 2 weeks. Also noted, her dog food was completely gone and I can only assume I was the one feeding other dogs because mine clearly wasn't eating.
Management is joke. They are cowards and lack true leadership.
Keep your pets away.

My puppy attends the day camp a couple of days a week and he loves it! He's always so excited when we go in. He can't wait to play with his friends! The staff are great as well.

Love The Pawsh Dog on Portage! Staff are friendly and courteous. My dog had a horrible experience at another salon (not Pawsh Dog) and ended up injured and infected. My poor pup (and me) were so terrified to go but he went and I’m so relieved it went well! The staff member listened to my concerns and assured me she would relay they info to the groomer and that he would be cared for. He came out so happy and calm the complete opposite from his last time. The groomer Angelica did a fantastic job with his groom, very thorough and he looks so handsome! We will back!

We took our dog to the Pawsh Dog on Portage once for a grooming, and they did a bad job. We decided to give them another chance – bad decision. Everything about this experience was unacceptable. We have a ten-pound shih tzu, and we were quoted four hours for her groom, which is quite a bit longer than it’s ever taken anywhere (including this location). Later, we got an email saying that our groomer was running behind and would need a little bit longer, and when we contacted them to inquire as to how long, we were told that the it would be another hour. When my husband showed up to get her, he was told it would be yet another hour – making a total of over 6 hours since we dropped our dog off. That’s two hours more than we were initially told - a huge chunk of time that now affects our entire day, and another appointment that we have. It does not take near that long to groom our small dog so that tells me that the groomers must be severely overbooked, and that my dog probably spent several hours in a crate. We did not have that kind of time, so when we said that we needed to pick her up sooner, they suggested that we use their crating services and board her for the rest of the night, which was absolutely not happening. Staff was apathetic to the fact that it was unacceptable to keep us and our very nervous dog waiting for so long. Another customer was picking up her similar-sized dog at the same we were there, and not only had her dog been there for over 7 hours, but the dog’s groom was incomplete. Our dog’s cut looked adequate at a glance, but when we got home and inspected her, it was clear that they’d done a rushed, uneven job. My husband asked the reception staff to have management call him in the next day to discuss our poor service. He also left a poor review on our customer survey. Nearly a week later, and no one has reached out to us. It’s clear that management is severely lacking. We won’t be back.

We have had wonderful experiences at The Pawsh Dog on Portage. Our pup loves going there and can't wait to join his friends at the daycare. We can always rest assured that he will be well taken care of. We are so grateful to have a safe place for our beloved boy!

Wanted to share with everyone the amazing grooming my dog (Old English Sheepdog) gets at Pawsh on Portage Ave. Specifically I would like to send kudos to both Breanna and Rhiannon for making Harley look so fabulous? I brought my 2 large dogs in for deshed and groom and as always the service was impeccable. Angela did such a fantastic job- I can’t say enough how happy we were with the results. Mermies is spic and spa, soft and white again! Thanks Angela.

I absolutely love the staff here. I have been taking Maksim here since I got him. He is 5 months old (golden retriever). He got his first groom last week by Amy who we both love! She is wonderful and Maksim has super crush on her!

I love this place. We bring our dog there at least once a week for a full day of day care. The staff there care so much about the animals. My favorite thing about it is, after every visit you get a report card with pictures of your pet and a description of their time there. I recommend this place to everyone.

I brought my 4lb yorkiepoo there ever since it was a small shop but when it became corporate it was all about the money. Last he went for a groom they left him in his travel size carrier for 2 1/2 hours I was furious. He doesn’t have enough room to move around in there it’s just for travel point A to B and still haven’t started his groom. Unacceptable. They didn’t know when they would start grooming him so I picked him up.

I have been taking my fur babies to PAWSH Portage Ave.for years and have always been impressed with the excellent grooming services. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, and very kind and gentle with the animals. Angela did my dog’s grooming yesterday and it was fabulous!

The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and took great care of our dog. The pictures were adorable and it was so nice they took the extra step to make a display for the photos. We are definitely going to be back!

I've been taking Zilla to Pawsh since she was a puppy and now she is 8 months old and still very much loves it!

She had her first full groom on Tuesday and Madison did such an amazing job

They treat Zilla like a queen, and she's extremely high energy so I always get nervous that she will be too annoying to handle.

But the care they give her, as well as updates and tips is above and beyond always!

Thanks to everyone at all the Pawsh locations, I wouldn't go anywhere else with Zilla. ️ happy holidays

Tie dogs up right beside the daycare gate to do their nails. It's very stressful for dogs having to get their nails cut with 15 dogs barking and fighting 10 feet away with heads poking through the gate. Muzzled my dog without asking first and did a hack job. I Will never go back after the treatment my dog received.

Dísa my fur baby was a fescue from South Korea in 2019I have taken her to other groomers but always go back to The Pawsh dog.
Other groomer have told me that she needs more exercise and that she is lazy and alway wants to lay down.
I have tried to explain that she has always lived in a kennel and has learned so much in the last 2 years.
The workers at The Pawsh Dog, are always happy to see her. They give positive feed back and never put her into a kennel. They are respectful of her struggles and do not make me feel bad about my beauty. Thank everyone at The Pawsh. ️️

They never answer phone. Put me on hold for over 10 min. I found somewhere else that cuts nails.

I brought my dog Gucci to stay for a few days. At first she was anxious and nervous but a few hours later she was thrilled! She loved it! We saw her report cards and we're so proud of her. We love that she made 2 best friends. Gucci and us loved the staff. The staff are so caring and responsible. We will definitely bring Gucci here again. Thank you Pawsh dog Gucci loved it there! ️

When I adopted my Stella at 3 months, she was very socially anxious, and my vet emphasized the need to have her socialized. Once I took her here for doggie day care, she had come a long way from being the shy pup in the corner to the life of the party in about 3 weeks, according to the daycare staff! I love receiving the report cards each visit, especially about Stella, her chihuahua mix best friend & all their friends at play! She was even in good spirits when I took her here for her first groom, which normally does not happen with dogs my family and I have taken in previous years. We had 1 Puppy Kindergarten class with Deanne before lockdown #3, who was probably the first person Stella did not run away from, and was paramount in having her come out of her shell, and teach us what she needed most at age 4 months! The staff have been lovely to deal with, rates are affordable depending on your package or subscription plan based on your needs, and it has been a blessing for scheduling to be flexible whenever work can go from being in office 1 day every 2 weeks, or suddenly tack me with working 7 days a week:)

I leave my dog at the pawshdog (on Portage) pretty much every day to go to work! And he’s always happy to be there, and comes home exhausted at the end of day! Great and friendly staff that really cares for the dogs, and writes the cutest report cards with pictures! Shout out to Tristan and Jordyn, you guys rock and your job is much appreciated!

Layed up with a bad hip after slipping on the ice, & in a lot more pain than I could handle, I still had to take out my puppy to do her business (manner of speaking). Ran into a fellow tenant who as it turns out works for The Pawsh Dog. She's a very kind hearted young Lady & offered to help me with my puppy. Later when she heard I wanted to get my puppy groomed (I was looking for same day service) she took my puppy to The Pawsh Dog and another representative drove her home. Such excellent customer appreciation and service! Thank you The Pawsh Dog on Portage Avenue and The Pawsh Dog on Marion Street.

Went there with our rescue who we've only had for a few weeks. They were so kind and understanding that he's not perfect with people touching his paws yet and they gave us some excellent tips to work on that for next time. They were incredibly helpful, great experience!

I would NEVER recommend Pawsh Dog for any pet owner after the experience I encountered today. Not only did their customer service lack in so many ways but they left my dog with a bloody paw and no rush to help after I said my dog is leaving a pool of blood in the lobby. So on top of paying for a service that injured my dog I then had to make an extra purchase of bandages. This may not be THEIR pet but they are MY babies and when I leave them in so called professional hands I expect to receive that service.

Our dogs always feel comfortable when going there.

Their pricing is very reasonable and they offer tons of services for any breed.

We take our husky/malamute cross here every day. We know that when we drop her off for a day of play she will be well loved and taken care of, and this gives us the peace of mind we need while we are at work.
We get regular report cards giving us further updates. They genuinely care about our dog and us.
We honestly can’t thank them enough for all they do for us and our dog.

My pup loves the people and this place. They take great care of him and is my go to place now. Getting photos and updates on my buddy while I'm away is a pleasure and really helps with being apart.

Facility staff really screen the new comer dog to ensure behavior is not too destructive to other dogs.
Just be prepared to leave your dog for 90mins or so for them to monitor the dog for initial assessment (mandatory orientation before you can avail their services) if new to the facility in addition to the interview questionnaire. I wasn't aware of this and needed to drive back and forth.

ATTENTION! Do NOT take your dog to get groomed at THE PAWSH DOG! They dislocated my dog’s shoulder during her last grooming! My pup is the sweetest, calmest little pooch you will ever meet and always gets excellent reports from The Pawsh Dog groomers. I cannot imagine how they must have treated her for that to happen. We have been waiting for this company to conclude their investigation and send us a cheque to cover her veterinary visit. I just found out that they are claiming zero responsibility! My dog arrived at her appointment healthy. Upon pickup she was not bearing weight on her front leg. The vet confirmed a dislocated shoulder. Staff members noted the limp at pick up.and they are still not taking responsibility! This company makes me sick. Save yourself some heartache and find another groomer.

I was referred to take Luna to this particular grooming salon. I could already tell from her first time she was taken well care of and they knew what Luna and I needed for her first cut. I also love that they do a report card and pictures afterward:)

Her second spaw appointment was even better! The two appointments I have had the employees have been very friendly and helpful. Kier groomed my Luna so well! I look forward to her future spaw days at pawsh dog

Our dog came home with a skin infection twice, 300.00 in vet bills and we were offered a free bath. When I let them know we weren't happy and would likley not be back they simply said sorry to hear it, we will miss Simon. Overpriced, unprofessional business with no concept of how to handle a customer complaint. We have since heard from several other people that they too have had the same or similar experience, a sick dog after being at their facility.

When they had 1st opened I loved it. The last two times has been awful. I dont live in city so them running late is a pain and had troubles with person answering phone. My dog has longer hair so usally leaves there pretty fluffy. Last time it was like they rinsed him with water and gave him a cut. He was not smelling nice or fluffy. Very disappointed and wont be going back. I rated 5 star when they opened but has certainly gone down hill since then.

I took my dog to get her nails cut and they gave me an appointment at 530 on a Friday so I went and they said they dont have anyone to cut nails at that time that they leave at 4: 30 so they gave me another appointment the next day I went and they cut the nails but made 3 bleed put stuff on it but when I got home it was bleeding pretty good so i had to put something on it to stop it never go back there i read some of the reviews and if anyone gives them a bad review the answer is oh i dont see u in our computer then they dont keep a very accurate record of any dog they take in poor customer service

Kier is an amazing groomer at Pawsh Portage! She specializes in schnauzers but will not disappoint on grooms for any breed. You can see her passion for dogs when giving clients the best advice to keep their dog looking and feeling their best. She is also a great team player, helping out in day camp during her breaks or when they are in of a helping hand. If you want your dog to be in good, caring hands, ask for Kier!

I absolutely adore Kier’s grooms. She does the cutest grooms and it is clear how much she absolutely loves the dogs!

We have had our dog Toffee stay at the Pawsh Dog Hotel for a couple of weeks and everything went fine. The dog was picked up healthy, clean and happy with no issues. We have also had Toffee groomed at the Portage ave. Pawsh Dog and the grooming was very well done.thank you!

I have taken both my dogs here for puppy training. They are a clean and friendly facility that not only loves but adores dogs. They have professional nail trimmers and I noticed the dog spa wash area however never used it since I wash my own dog.
