Great place for a date or to entertain the family. The food and drinks are excellent. The games are a lot of fun. There are bowling lanes you can book with bumpers for the kids. Newly added hockey skills shooting area and archery range. They even have a couple pool tables. Don't miss the pinball hidden at the back of the restaurant.

Great entertainment place. There is a huge collection of the arcade games. The food is great too.

Waitress was incredible serving such a large table and coming back repeatedly.wierdly large dining area would be better served with more gaming areas, imo.will go back

Went to rec room with four buddies sunday night. We easily spent $500+ on drinks, shots and games. The bartender was thrilled we were there because we were his only customers. At 11pm security came to our group as we were playing a soccer video game and demanded to see IDs lol. I asked him if i get a free drink for being more than double the legal age. Im 41 and our group are all in their 40s. One guy didnt have his license and security demanded he leave immediately lmao. This guy had previously bought several rounds of shots for our group (it was a mini stag for me that night) and we literally had drinks in our hands as this happened. He has grey hairs on his head and beard and got kicked out at 11pm after spending how many hundreds of dollars? I thought security was joking. Hf talk about a power tripping loser. Just lost our business for life and we were actually talking about coming back to watch jets and bomber games. Never again rec room. Hope it was worth it. We will take our business somewhere that treats us like adults hf. You actually think he was under 18 in a group of 40 year olds or you just being a power trip joke? And if he was then i guess you served booze to a minor all night. Smfhx1000000

It was good but they close at 2 am and don't state on the website that it's only 18+ after 11 and I feel like it shouldn't be till 12 or it should be teens only from 10-12 and then 18+ from 12-2: 00am

Great atmosphere for kids and adults I felt like a kid again playing all the games I played

We just had a group of 12,4 birthdays. Brian and staff were amazing, they made sure we had a great time. Food and service was great. Brian went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience.

The line up to get my wrist band was a long wait and there was only one group in front of us. They had ONE person working the front on a Saturday evening. We then waiting forever to go axe throwing. After that we waited 21 minutes for a drink. We had been there an hour all we did was wait for everything. The bartender had only one til open which is ridiculous considering the line. They could make so much money on drinks but all they did was look confused by the til and wipe the counter, no fire, no sense of rush to serve. Don’t go there to drink cause they don’t know how to move their alcohol and food properly. Quite a few of the games were out of order. I really wanted to like this place. The food looked good but I wasn’t waiting 45 minutes to get fries. Their empty dirty cups were all over the bar. I had a friend there for a Christmas party and she said their entire party only had one server and the line for drinks and food hadn’t moved all evening.

Brian is the man! Came in for my favorite battered mushrooms and they were out. Brian hooked us up with some Calamari on the house. Was delicious! Great food and drinks always. A bit loud but if that doesn't bother you this is always a great stop!

Fun experience but if you look young and plan on drinking be prepared to get ID’d a lot. By every security guard on shift. It’s a minor inconvenience and annoying at best. I’m surprised they haven’t implemented a system for this. ID once at the bar and then give out stamps or wristbands to confirm their age so that you don’t have to be constantly ID’d while trying to enjoy your night out with friends.

Great atmosphere but food and drinks very bland. They both seemed very amateur made but the ingredients were fresh. For a party of 18 we should have had more than 1 waitress as well, she did her best but was overwhelmed, we felt bad for her. 1/4 of the games were out of order and felt the variety was a little lacking for the arcades. Suggest weekday as a Sat night was very busy and people are rude and pushy. That's not the business fault, just a heads up.

The food was horrible and tasted bad. I ordered a dish that sounded good on a menu, but when it's arrived, it was completely different and tasted bland, it cost $26 (see picture, there supposed to be seasonal vegetables, but all I got was few green beans, the salad is a substitute for mashed potatoes, that they ran out in the middle of service day), but from the size of it and the looks it shouldn't cost that much. The games were fun.

Went for the first time ever. I’ve never been to a place like this before. I’m not from the city and come from a small town where cash is used all the time. Was there a sign for card only? Maybe I missed it, but the reaction when I paid with cash. The first cashier stared at me with an odd face, and then I gave my cash to the her coworker? I guess. I was confused and felt stupid. Her co-worker was definitely nicer, he had more of a friendly face and eased the embarrassment. I also got a budweiser and the glass smelled dirty. However, If you’re going for the games it is worth it. I went with my mother and siblings, we don’t get to spend a lot of time together, so it was nice to have some games to play together.

Small towners make sure you bring your debit/credit cards.

Server was on her first week. Did all the wrong things. Felt like she should be shadowing someone not serving tables. Food was not the best. They had only fee tables to serve with tons of staff but unfortunately no one to attend to us. Ordering a drink took more than 20 minutes. I can only imagine how long it would take if they were busy. We finished eating and had to wait 30 minutes for someone to clear the table so we can enjoy our drinks. I'm sorry but honestly it was a very bad experience.

Pretty expensive little outing for the family, but we had a lot of fun. Very clean, and the staff was really helpful. Will definitely go back.

The games area is great. But for dining. The atmosphere is a little loud and the food is just okay.

Games, fun. Few out of order, nothing crazy though. Restaurant/lounge, recommended skip. Or at least do the walk up bar. Sat down, super slow. Hour and a half for 3 drinks.

Very expensive place! Food took a very long time and wasn’t good tasting, portions were very small for an adult pita pizza. Due to the group event it was a mandatory 18% gratuity. We’re given 2 package options but when we got there we all had to pick the same one. Servers were friendly and did a good job. Arcade is nice with options to bowl and axe throw but prices have went up a lot since opening so it’s no longer worth going sadly.

Best arcade in winnipeg, and a really nice restaurant to go with it. Recently, many machines are down or reduced jackpots, and prize counter is never stocked well. Quality control is lacking especially for the price

Arcade was good, food was gross and not fresh at alll even after waiting for it for like 15 minutes.

Had my daughter's 10th birthday there. Took forever to get the kids food served and mold was found in the dough of the pizza. Will probably be back to play some games but no more birthday partys or food from there.

Love Rec room, always fun and the food and drinks are so good, love the fish tacos and honey lime chicken wings! Always has good service!

Went here for a work gathering. I had so much fun. Pricing for games was great, food was good, axe throwing was a blast! They also have 10 pin bowling! Would definitely come here again!

Lots of games and I love the dancing machine! $35 is quite enough to play around for two adults. Highly recommend to couples, friends and family. Definitely will go back!

I went to book over a month ahead for my son's birthday party and after finding I had to email the request, which said they would get back to me within 3-5 days, I figured, fine that works - I'm ahead of the game. Never got an email back. I tried calling but all it is, is a watery echo voicemail which tells me what time they are open and if I want to order skip or uber and that axe throwing is now open- and oh, if I want to book a party, t to email them. I sent a follow up email after 5 days.nothing. I sent another email.nothing. I guess if I booked 100 people for a party maybe they would have gotten back to me. Poor service. Poor communication - actually a lack of communication. How does anybody book a party there? Who knows? 0/10 recommend. If anyone wants to have a fun time and book a party - call Uptown Alley. I got a party booked in 30 minutes and it was amazing.

Fun time at the arcade for the whole family. Great hours for a Sunday night when everything else is closed. Can get crowded when it's busy.

Have had many great experiences here. Today was an exception, felt like we were a inconvenience to the staff when we went to eat. Overall 1 blemish over a few different visits.

I almost tripped on a power bar which was placed right in the way of walking, the guy with the ponytail didn't help me when I asked if I could get help in the front for buying tickets, he didn't even bother to tell me he sells them too he was to busy talking to a chick

Doesn’t really sit right with me that students get a 15% discount but military personnel only get 10%…?

The arcade was alright. It was a little crowded. I like the over all atmosphere of the place but I will never eat at their restaurant again. Ordered a simple fries and then it was placed under the heating lamp it just sat there while the 2 front ladies were clearly over worked. After 5 minutes I finally got one the servers attention and she slammed the tray and fries down without so much as asking if I needed a fork or ketchup. Oh yeah and the fries were practically microwaved. Get better staff.
