This place is VERY VERY BAD.i cannot express how bad the quality of the food was.the chicken was so dry and bland.the prices are so not worth the bs! I do not recommend this place AT ALL. CHINESE FOOD FROM THE MALL IS BETTER THAN THIS! Do NOT go to thirsty duck.

Absolutely pitiful. Do not recommend going to this place. Food was disgusting and put me in a bad mood. The inadequate care for the food is what really ticks me off. FYI NEVER GO HERE!

Taxed me an extra $5 for using their website so you should probably just call to order foods decent but place is absolutely filthy doesn’t look like anything has ever been wiped down or mopped

It's not everywhere you get satisfaction, great food and all the service you could ask for!

I tried the Thirsty Duck for the first time after having seen a few recommendations on the East K & Elmwood Community Facebook group and will most certainly be going back again.

I ordered directly from their website and picked it up myself.
#75 Singapore Fried Rice Noodle
- Good size portion w/ lots of pork, shrimp, veggies, and a very nice curry flavour
#94 Lemon Battered Chicken
- Again, great portion size with large pieces of chicken and a very tasty and tangy lemon sauce that comes on the side. The chicken to batter ratio was excellent, unlike some other places with little chicken and too much batter. The batter was nice and crispy.
#150 Deluxe Diced Veggies with Almonds
- Large portion with lots of chicken and almonds. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, still firm, and the gravy was rich and full of flavour.
#56 Chicken Fried Rice (Free with over over $35)
- The rice appeared quite dark so I was a little concerned that it would be salty from too much soy but it was not. There was plenty of chicken and was very good.

An overall excellent value for the portion sizes and quality of the food.

I used to come here for lunch and breakfast all the time before covid hit. I enjoyed the food and the service. I thought they were permanently closed but drove by awhile ago and saw they were open. Got home and tried ordering for pick up but no answer on the phone. Ok I thought I'll try next time but same thing. I know they were open but wouldn't answer the phone after trying 3 times. I finally stopped one day and went in to get some take out.i asked why they don't answer the phone for pick up orders and they had no real answer. I believe they are being held hostage by skip the dishes. I don't use it because I want local places to get the money and not have to give up their profits so they stay in business. This is not the way to do it. How many orders have you missed because of this? The food was still good but I'm not coming in and then waiting outside for half an hour because you don't answer your phone. Hopefully you can handle phone in orders and skip one day.

Great prices! And the food is great! Honestly, some Chinese food places are so over priced for nothing special. However, this place is great and they are easy to order from! I love the Shanghai noodles and the king pao chicken and the ginger beef is sooo good! I recommend everyone! You won’t regret it.

The first Chinese restaurant I've eaten at which wasn't greasy, or hurt my stomach. I got the shrimp combo for one, and everything was so fresh and delicate. I'll continue to order from here, so so so happy with the friendly service and food.

I ordered the shanghai noodles, sweet and sour pork with pan fried, pork dumplings. My noodles contained shrimp and could not eat it (i asked for no fish or shrimp). A few hours later I think i now have some sort of food poisoning and feel very ill.

Great food, good prices and with the portion sizes we are always be well be fed and always have leftovers.

Quantity not quality. Nice people, bland food. The sauce for the honey garlic chicken balls had the consistency of water. The chicken ball batter was dense and crumbly and lost its freshness fast.

Picked up #75 Singapore Fried Rice Noodle #131 Honey Garlic Beef # 97 Chicken with diced veggies and almond. Received a free order of Honey Garlic Chicken Balls. Awesome food! Definitely ordering from here again!

Me and the wife have been ordering from ‘The Thirsty Duck’ every New Years Eve since 1997. Always been happy with the restaurant and now that some of our kids are adults they hopefully will now order there too. Good food and service

Used to order from here until I found a long hair in my breaded ribs. Long hair really cooked in there.was able to carry the dry rib with the strand of hair. Turned off by the rest of our food.

We ordered delivery and as usual the chinese was hot and tasty when it arrived. Just as fast as Uber but when the restaurant delivers to you they give a free item over $25 in food. Had the honey garlic veal, deluxe chow mein, chicken with black bean and garlic, and got a free order of honey garlic chicken balls- we enjoyed them all. Delivery and tip was on par with what it would have cost through a meal delivery service like uber or skip. Wife and I would recommend the thirsty duck to our friends. No photos to share 'cause we devoured it before we thought of it.sorry
