I am sorry to have to post this.
I had a complete new front end done on my 1 ton 4x4. Everything new. 12,000 km later my inside of my brand new tires were torn to the chords. I called them up and they said bring the truck back. They just looked at the truck from the front of their building and said it was not their fault.cheap tires they said. The Truck has 500,000 kilos on it and I have used that same brand of truck tire for many hundreds of thousands of kilos. I took the truck somewhere else only to find the truck was toed-out badly. It is the first time In my life that new tires only last 12,000 kilos. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

WARNING READ!
I want to just start out with never go to this company. I’m from a small town up north and I took my truck to this company to fix my trucks transmission, the job they did only lasted 2 weeks and then it blew. So I took it back because they told me I had one year warranty on it. They fixed it again while not being happy about it and making that very clear. When I got it back it was parked for a few months because I was driving another vehicle. One day I decided to take my truck out on the highway and the damn transmission blew again! Someone could have gotten very hurt! So I take it back and they refused to fix it accusing me of tampering with it! Then when I threatened to take them to court they looked at it and say nothing was tampered with so they fixed it. And then told me I needed to sigh this paper stating I was gonna void my warranty for my truck they gave me or they would hold my truck and not give it back to me unless I signed (one year warranty) because they didn’t wanna deal with it anymore (take in mind it’s been less then a year this whole time and I’ve taken it back 3 times) then after they fixed it again they told me that the reason why it broke was because of my tires (granted I understand that can be a issue) but only after they fixed it did they call me and tell me I have 3 choices 1. I pay them $500 to get my truck back from them. (remember this was covered over warranty and they just wanted more money from me) 2. They take the transmission out of my truck and give the truck back. Or 3. They take me to court! Idk but I was pissed and they had already drained me of my savings having to take my broken truck that they couldn’t fix the first time back and forth from the city that I live no where close to! Not happy with this company and warranting you to never go there. I recommend spending a couple extra dollars to go to a respectable and reliable company!

I pulled in with my Ford superduty with a slipping transmission that I just had completely rebuilt in Alabama at a franchised transmission shop less than 2500 miles previously. Cory went for a test drive with me, and was very knowledgeable. After the transmission was removed and disassembled, Angus, one of the rebuilders spent time with me in the shop showing me where the previous shop had messed up in 2 or 3 areas. After I got the truck back, it is working perfectly. I can't say enough good things about these two employees! Well done, guys!

Transmission was shot. Now it’s working great. Smoother shifts & better acceleration. Kept me informed from start to finish. Ended up costing up pretty close to first quote so no surprises.

I think the website is having issues.ypu guys have no parts at all for anything it says can pick any selection but says no parts available

Over the years I have had John and the boys at Trans-Tech rebuild transmissions, diffs and torque convertors for my truck and race cars. Always a great job and no problems. I highly recommend them for any work you might need to have done. 5 stars.

First trip: Very happy with this shop. They were fair, honest, pricing was great, work was done on time and on budget, which was always discussed up-front. Highly recommend.

This rating is revised after a 2nd trip to this shop within 2000km on the same vehicle. Some negative, some positive. Many failures on parts on the truck immediately after the prior work. Negative: shop manager basically yelled at me over the phone for doing poor maintenance without any knowledge on my records. Unacceptable when there was a lot of preventative maintenance performed on the first trip, and without seeing my maintenance records. A catastrophic failure meant I had to tow the truck in to get it re-repaired. Positive: they made an effort to make sure the work was done in a day, and the mechanic was honest and diligent and respectful – 2 thumbs up there. Negative: 2 mechanics and the shop manager mis-diagnosed an issue which could have led to an unnecessary and expensive driveshaft repair/replacement. After 5 minutes of checks that I asked for – and I’m not a trained mechanic but do my own work where I can - it was determined that the truck had a bad U-joint – that had also been checked on the original repair. Negative: I had to pay another shop to perform work that they were to do on the first repair, and the bill for labour on this catastrophic repair did not consider that, or whether the potentially bad U-joint had been missed on the first repair, as it was on the second repair. Although I have to thank the guys for getting the truck done in a day - the mechanic in particular for working late, I doubt I will return, all things considered.

I reached out to these folks and set up a diagnostic appointment within a few days. After the diagnostics I was given a detailed list on the work that was required, and a few short days later they completed the repairs in a day and had me on my way!

Great place to take your vehicle. My first visit was to have a transmission built in my diesel truck and I was extremely satisified. I continue to come back for other services.

This has to be one of the friendliest shops I've dealt with, and their customer service is phenomenal. Unlike many shops I called, they took the time to find the parts I needed for a nearly 50 year old truck and called me with updates on their search's progress.

Any veichle problems, this is the shop to take it to! Jesse went over and beyond to find me the cheapest premium quality parts and had my driveshaft replaced and back on the road within a couple of hours! The trans tech team is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to mechanical issues and you won't find better service anywhere else! 10/10 would recommend!

I had a fantastic experience at Trans Tech. My 2005 Tundra was having some electrical issues with my transmission.

My Tundra had to have 2 wiring harnesses replaced in the transmission. They were replaced and my Tundra is back and running awesome again.

I totally recommend them to anyone.

Incredible service, we have trusted Trans-Tech with our families vehicles for years, they are the best and I wouldnt even think of letting another city mechanic touch my car 10/10 reccomend

I paid 700 bucks including taxes just for labor which was quoted at 5.2 hours originally for a transmission replacement. I also supplied my own fluid so there were no surprises. The transmission was duly supplied and delivered by myself alongside instructions emailed a day ahead to erase all historical faults and set the transmission to relearn once installed and flush the lines and change the seal, etc. My car had air conditioning going into the shop but upon receipt of the vehicle I noticed that I had no air-conditioning, the shop denied they had anything to do with that and also suggested that I may be wrong that I somehow didn't notice my car didn't have AC in the middle of a heat wave.it's was close to 35 degrees that day. I asked them to attach an obd2 reader and run diagnostics and look at the compressor and lines. The mechanic said that there was no visible leak and that if there was a leak they could see it. I later learned that was nonsense that you'd need a dye to make it visible and that a leak was otherwise undetectable. Furthermore, once diagnostic was run, all previous historical faults associated with the old failed transmission which should have been erased were still there. The technician quickly proceeded to erase them and set the system to relearn. The shop said they don't even have a hose to check this type of a connection Y1234yf as it's too new. My car is 4 years old. I didn't know what else to do having paid them already took the car and bought a hose and dye and fix leak kit and fixed the issue myself. The hose cost 40 bucks. Today I took my vehicle for an oil change and my mechanic informed me that my entire splash shield underneath the vehicle was also missing! I am not happy with how this shop operates and took no responsibility for who has done what and has a general breakdown in communication with its staff. Your service advisor tried explaining the visible historical fault   (DTC) P0734 stands for “Gear 4 Incorrect Ratio. ” was not due to the fact that faults weren't cleared but because my tires were of a different width. Nonsense!

Pros: Original quote was 200 dollars cheaper. Did supply me with a courtesy car and were approachable

Cons: Cost me 100 bucks to fix the A/C issue and the shield will undoubtedly cost me further dollars. I sat in a hot oven of a car on a Sunday with 34 degree temperatures. Thanks

Brought truck to them upon speaking to the owner after being unhappy with previous repair shop. Very glad I did, not only did they repair my truck to better than it has ever been, they worked very close with allotted time lines and got it done in less than the time that the owner said it would take. Can't say enough good things about them.

Brought my 1979 F150 4x4 Dana 44 and 9" rear end to be rebuilt. Ended up having Trans-Tech also repair the Warn lockers, entire brake system on the diffs and even installed a Rear Disc Conversion Kit for the rear diff. John even called and asked me if I wanted to install an Auburn limited slip in my rear end since it was already all taken apart. All this was very affordable and was done in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend anyone in need of repairs to head to Trans-Tech!

My transmission blew on a Thursday, they picked it up the same day and had it back to me Tuesday morning. Customer service was awesome and the work was too!

100 % recommend trans tech! I blew the rear end in my Duramax over the holidays, they had me in and out with in two days! Great price, great services!

Thought they were great at diagnosis and initial service. Got a bit messed up during parts delivery and completion. They were accountable for delay and even reduced bill.

I called during the holiday's, they got me right in. There was multiple issues with my truck that they were able to look after. I'm very happy with the way I was looked after and the service was excellent.

I purchased a transmission from Trans tech and had it installed by my mechanic. It turned out the transmission was faulty. After I contacted the guys from Trans tech, they told me to bring my vehicle in and they installed a different one free of charge. Great service! Very impressive

I got my 1991 Nissan d21 automatic transmission rebuilt at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately the seal leaked after 2 months luckily I was still on my 6 month warranty. I called Frank and informed him, he adviced me to bring back the car. They fixed it without any fee. Overall I was happy with my experience except for the hassle driving from brandon to Winnipeg to get the seal replaced. Thank you Frank and the team.

As a 22 year old woman, many mechanic shops and dealerships have treated me as naïve when I would bring my Dodge Dart in for repairs.
About 6 months ago a dealership attempted to convince me that my car needed a $10 000 transmission put in which lead me to bring it to transtech to explore my options. Dale the mechanic was quick to see what the dealership did not and I ended up having an $800 bill.
Ever since then, as I own a lemon of a dodge, I have been dealing with transtech on multiple occasions and my experience has been nothing but amazing.
Dale takes the time to call me and explain to me not only what needs to be fixed but why without making me feel lesser for not knowing (which had never happened to me as I would normally be brushed off for wanting more information).
Frank is always up to answer my countless calls for updates as well as goes above and beyond to make sure my car is being looked after in a timely manner.
Although it’s unfortunate my car has lead me to getting to know the transtech team as well as I do, I must say they are by far the best mechanics shop I’ve been to and will hands down always have my business.

I had a noticeable rattling coming from the underside of my 2011 Grand Cherokee. I bought the Jeep into Transtech on a friend’s recommendation and they fixed the problem quickly and for much less than I was expecting to pay. Staff were friendly and genuine! Highly recommend this company!

Top notch service and Tech's. Anytime I have had to have vehicles repaired transtech has been open honest and fair. They do everything they can to ensure complete customer happiness. They tell you like it is and don't try to add in repairs that are not needed. At times I have had an emergency repair and they have always accomodated getting me in right away, even when they are over booked. This company is the only one in Winnipeg that I would trust when it comes to any driveline repairs, hands down best in town!
There general mechanical repairs also top notch. Highly recommend Transtech! I refer people continually and they are always as happy as I am with the service.

When I called Trans-Tech, they said we can help you with your motorhome problem. They took good care of me and checked out how a device should have been installed, and also fixed what someone else did who had made a mess of installing it that resulted in the device failing.
Tom made me at ease right away, and Dale, who repaied the motorhome were super. If I had another problem or owned a business with vehicles, I would want Tom and Dale looking after me.
So if raises are going around they should be on the top of the list. They do really good work, as good techs are hard to come by these days.

On the recommendation of a friend/TRANS-TECH customer, I took my vehicle there yesterday for a repair. When I booked the appointment, I explained what was happening with my car and they brought in all the parts they thought might possibly be needed for the repair. Despite having been told my another repair shop that ALL those parts would absolutely be needed (without having checked over my vehicle), after they had checked my car, they advised that, in fact, only ONE part was needed! The service was prompt, everything was explained clearly to me and my car was repaired 100% in less than an hour. I am SO VERY PLEASED with this company, I have immediately become a permanent customer! Their honesty and integrity is outstanding, especially in an industry that is constantly trying to upsell you and scare you into getting unneeded work done! The surroundings are very bright, clean, attractive & comfortable for waiting while your vehicle is being worked on. As well, the staff are all very friendly & professional.
