Our grief is still so fresh but we wanted to express our gratitude to the staff at Transcona Veterinary Hospital. They showed us compassion, patience and understanding when we had to put our beloved family member Dakota down. They provided care and support in the day leading to our appointment which was important to me in keeping my fur baby calm. Thank you for all you do for our family pets.

My daughter came in just before closing time with a badly injured cat. The staff and doctor were excellent, compassionate, and caring. Everything was explained clearly. I can't say enough good things about everyone there, thank you.

This Vet and their staff are amazing.
We had to put our beloved dog down on Sep 30,2023 due to his extreme quickly failing health.
I called our regular vet and was told “we can’t accommodate you we are doing our inventory”. I spoke with Meghan at Transcona Vet; and she was kind, empathetic and got us in due to extreme urgency of our situation. We will now take our other fur baby to this Vet; due to their caring and understanding staff.

If I could give 6 stars I would.

Highly, highly recommended this Vet and her staff.

Extremely friendly and very caring staff. The vet has even called me to answer questions I had about my sick dog. Very clean inside and out. I definitely recommend this place! ️️️️️

I just had my appointment yesterday with my new kitten Lou! Carry was so kind over the phone and booking the appointment! We saw Dr K he was fantastic! I've had a horrible experience at another vet and having the pleasant experience I did, I will continue bringing my animals here!

Dr. Nitychoruk misdiagnosed my kitten saying he did not have ringworm from initial tests, and that everything was good. We brought him to my parents for Christmas. Two weeks later Dr. Nitychoruk called to let us know that our kitten in fact does have ringworm from the last culture test. My sister contracted ringworm, and both of my parents cats are very sick with ringworm, one cat is older with diabetes. The treatment is making him very sick and lethargic and he is peeing on the floor and it’s getting worse. If I could give 0 stars I would. If we would have known there were multiple tests our kitten would have stayed isolated in a room at home, and not infected others and cost thousands of dollars and maybe sending an older cat to the hospital.

This vet pulled through for my family and cat immediately when we called, I will be switching all my pets needs to them. I would 100% recommend Transcona Vet Hospital. They answered our call immediately and took my pet in.

Just delt with the most ignorant receptionist! Returned a missed call today to tell the receptionist I had missed a call from her. She immediately informed me it wasn't her that had phoned me but a vet from that number. Her tone carried on through the conversation as if she had her nose so stuck in the air she could care less there needs to be something organized to get a dog I occasionally care for a surgery he much needs! I was easy talked down too because I was not the dogs owner. Very, very disgusted with the unprofessional receptionist.
I phoned at 3pm December 23rd 2022. So whoever was working please chat with them because I'm an exstreamly friendly with people just from having to work in customer service for the first 12 working years of my youth and knowing how it is to have to deal with unpleasant customers nevermind staff from the facility.

After many years here - it is not the veterinarians that will turn me to look elsewhere for my pets well being - but the front staff here. It really is some sort of gong show with the front staff there.

You've never met a more caring team. I've had two dogs and two cats with them, they are very gentle with them. Their explanations and options are also very clear and easy to follow.

Excellent overall service. My boy does not care for large dogs. Trauma when he was a pup (not sure I got him when he was 5 years old). Transcona cared for him 5 out of 5

I have been taking my dog to TVH for over a year on a physio referral. The facility is very neat and organized, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The doctor is very patient and knowledgeable, and makes every effort to assist us regardless of concern. My dog is comfortable at our appointments and has made excellent progress.

WOW! Who in the hell do they have working the phone and front desk? Only wanted to schedule a routine check up for my cat. I selected this vet because my mom lives close by. Whoever answered the phone sounded rude and confused. "WELL, IF THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CAT" she said, sounding rude and confused. I'd find it embarrassing having someone work my front desk like that.
- Called Animal Hospital of Manitoba.
- I simply asked, can I schedule an appoint for my cat this Saturday for a check up?
Marked me down and said, "see you then"
*BOOM*
How easy was that?

Extremely rude staff that leaves you standing there waiting while they shop deal online. They will let your pet die while they play on their phones

The vet and rest of staff were so friendly and genuinely cared about our cat…. So we switched all the cats over. They even gave us samples of foods to try for out elderly cat who hates the food we’ve been given from another vet. We watched teary eyed as he gobbled up all his food without us needing to add anything extra to make it palatable (and also making the special food a waste of money)
So he’s now got food he likes and we know they are all being taken care of and that our concerns were being listened to.

The veterinarian there was super patience, helpful, and understanding. Definitely a great place to bring a much loved pet.

If I could give the receptionist (Kerry) here 0 stars I would. She makes phoning in and bringing in our animal a hard time. I have no idea why anyone would want to have someone as unprofessional and rude as she is. She is the first point of contact for this establishment and it makes me want to let everyone know NOT to bring there animals there so they do not have to deal with her attitude. Please look into hiring someone that actually wants to deal with customers as that is solely there job.

The staff where super friendly and helped take stress away and organized what to do with my dogs dew claws! Dog doctors where unbelievable super nice and very welcomed and discussed ideas to fix my dogs problem.

Transcona Veterinary Hospital has always taken good care of our Pomchi Bella. Their staff is always friendly and their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Staff are always great! Friendly and understanding. I've got a dog who has a number of health issues and they're always accommodating with appointments and making sure we're seen as quickly as possible when the need arises. Prices are good and they don't push you to do anything more than necessary

Fantastic place to take my dog for a knee operation. Friendly, knowledgeable and caring pre and post surgery.

We have been seeing Dr P (Marnie) for 4 years with our 2 Frenchies. Everyone at Transcona vet has always been friendly, professional, and helped with ALL of our needs. Our little guys are very high maintenance. We've had to have surgeries on both of them, and the care before, during and after has been hands down the absolute best that we could have asked for. Dr P (Marnie) is a very special woman. When we see her, we always feel confident that she has our babies best interest at heart and she truly cares about them. Thank you Tcona Vet for helping to keep our little monkeys healthy (we know they are lots of work! Xo)

My 9 year old dog recently had major surgery at Transcona Veterinary Hospital. Not only was I informed every step of the way, but my highly anxious dog was treated with love and care. The price was also fair. They encouraged me to reach-out and eased my worries when she was on the operating table. The aftercare is complicated but the vet met with me upon pickup to ensure I was confident that I could do my part in supporting her over these next 16 weeks of recovery. I am very happy we went with TVH and will continue to use them for future check-ups and care.

Was referred to Dr. K by my usual vet and have been super happy with the care Tilly has received. The staff and Dr. K are kind and helpful and take the time to explain things and answer any questions. I feel as though we are in good hands and would certainly recommend this clinic!

This is an awesome place, they are friendly and do their best to make you feel comfortable. With the pets they are even better, never had a problem with them.

Excellent veterinarians and staff very caring still curb side service need to text when you get there.

The vets I've dealt with are all knowledgeable and friendly. The prices seem reasonable. I have one bad experience with a rude woman at the front desk but I won't allow that to influence my rating this time.

They did their best.but i still lost my kitten face. They all tried very hard to make it easy on me.thank you for the card.

Highly recommend Transcona Veterinary hospital! I have personally dealt with 4 different clinics over the years and this is#1 on my list. Dr. Hugh Miller is excellent.

I have to change my review - they're overbooking and it's pretty sad when you call to make an emergency appointment for your sick pet and rude receptionist said: we are fully booked up and we dont have any emergency appointment slot available. You have to come on walk-in basis and sit outside (with sick pet) and wait in the heat for appointment for an hour, two or three / whenever doctor will have "time".
Are you kidding me? I'm totally not impressed and I'm going to be switching clinics after going there for the last 13 years.
In my opinion.a GOOD clinic should have extra slots available in the case of emergency! And hire nice receptionist.

I love the vet, and been attending the vet for 3 years now. The doctors are so nice and really care about your buddy. They're really informative, and not rip you off with medical expenses.

However I only give a 4 star just because I find it a frequent issue that no one picks up the phone or that there is issues calling. A couple times I have tried calling it either says that line is full or just stops ringing completely.

Dr McKay is a lovely lady. We met over the phone today and we had a very pleasant experience. Kymba loved her and the vet tech. Very happy to have Dr McKay as our Vet now.

We had a wonderful experience.
Out little puppy had to have a leg/bone operation and he's recovering very well.
They were truly professional.
Always prompt at getting back to us.

Excellent Vet, I see Dr Marnie P.but i have seen other vets in the Practice. All very very caring. The reception staff and Animal Health tecs are super duper/ Its hard not going in with my fur clan.but I understand and know they are in great hands. Thank you as always!

I've used this vet clinic since I moved to Manitoba (about 20 yrs now). They are extremely fair, very knowledgeable and caring. We've referred many ppl to this clinic over the years and they've all stayed with their pets. We particularly Dr. Pisclevich and Dr. Skakum

Dr. Karen Skakun performed TPLO surgery on my dog in October of last year and he is running around like nothing ever happened. Great vet who took the time to explain everything and meet with us even under Covid protocols. Transcona vet is top notch!

Honest evaluations and honest outcomes. I have never regreted a visit with Dr. Marney and staff.

The folks at Transcona Vets are the best! They are caring and very thorough. Your pet always comes first.

Winnipeg is still in 'Code: Red' due to Covid-19, but my experience was excellent. The staff had proper PPE and although I could not accompany my cat into the building, the vet and staff called my cell and were professional and caring. They took care of my concerns and my cat got the medication he needed. Just had the follow-up and the cat is all better! Thanks to everyone at Transcona Veterinary Hospital.

My family has been bringing our two dogs and a cat here for years now. They've been with us through thick and thin and always have taken excellent care of our little ones - through surgeries and chronic conditions. I have had the pleasure of dealing with most vets at this clinic over the years when same-day appointments were required and I had confidence in all of them.

Dr Millar willing to do blood work but not understanding the results, not able to diagnose and no plan to deal with the issue. As a result my dog suffered and eventually passed away.

1st Vet got his diagnosis completely wrong, but Dr K.got our Stan the man fixed up. Very caring group. I hope to not have to visit again, but if we do, we know who to see.

I have been going to this clinic for as long as I can remember, they have the most compassionate staff there, they are very friendly, polite, always answer any questions you may have. Dr. K is one of the best veterinarian's out there, he always makes time to explain things completely, and answer any questions, he is very thorough.

Have seen Dr. K a few times with my english bulldog - he always takes the time to listen and read over my dog's history. Front desk is also very knowledgeable and pleasant.

Been coming here for years with my dog and have always had positive experiences with the wonderful vets and staff. They love my dog as much as I do! Just be wary if you deal with a receptionist named Kerry. She is brash, rude and unprofessional (after a few of my own personal experiences, I am pretty confident that is who the other commenters are speaking of). She's the worst part about this otherwise lovely clinic.

Happy to see earlier review. I too find it a real shame that such wonderful doctors have entrusted their front desk to such a rude and condescending person. Cannot understand why? I too had a terrible time with the one at front desk and therefore took my business elsewhere. There are many that would like employment. It is time to give this job to a more respectful person.

I've had a great experience taking Muskwa here, very friendly and informative. Staff were friendly, approachable and treated Muskwa very well. Less expensive than other emergency veterinarians in the city. Will continue going there and would recommend friends and family members to go there.

I feel your comment is truly based on your own experience, it's clear you have a strong dislike for Kerry and that's okay it was your poor experience that makes you feel that way I guess. But you should not put out such a bitter taste for everyone else. Each person has the right to form their own opinions based on their moment in time but tarnishing other peoples thoughts before they get and opportunity to see for themselves is selfish and hateful. My experiences with this clinic are top notch! Warm caring bubbly staff that love on your pets from the moment you walk in and greet the parents with smiles. I have seen this clinic busting at roof top with people in the waiting room, their phones ringing what seemed like every second and the staff at the front and back always seem to take it in professional stride. I bared witness to an older gentle mam yelling about how refused to pay a single cent more for his pills that he was sure was less on an old bill. The lady at the desk who was a senior receptionist clamly had him come around to view her computer screen and they were looking at his paperwork and a few minutes later he apologized for his outburst after learning he was cleary wrong. SCORE ONE FOR RECEPTIONIST who most certainly did not deserve his rudeness or very unkind tasteless words.

I want you to see things from my multi- experience with kerry over the 9 years. She is kind, she is full of life and energy, she got to know me and my family and our friends we have recommended throughout the years. She greets me by my first name, she recognizes my voice on the phone, I have talk her ear off and she - always tells me it's never a dump question thats why we are here- to help. The day I needed to say goodbye to my fur son (big red to her) it was the most pain staking day of my life. Kerry sat on the floor with us shared a bowl of apples with "Red" and listened to be blubber and plead for more time because I could let go quite yet. Her passion and empathy meant the world to me, Red loved her and he didn't like very many people. She would always say i have a soft sport for big head kids, red wasn't always nice at first but she gained his trust somehow and after that each vet visit was so easy and more like visiting friends.

My cousin in-law just had to put down their lab to sleep, they called into the clinic and got Kerry on their call. They explained how there dog took a turn and couldn't stand seeing their baby that way. They were told to come down and she would see that a doctor would see them. My cousin said it was clear to see how busy it was and that they were fit in but never once felt rushed or "fit it". Kerry sat and talked to my cousin who is really has a hard exterior but in his words crying like kid. She took the time to listen to their stories offered her own stories of her dog she said goodbye to. She waited until the doctor came in hugged them both and offered her sincere condolences.

Now this is the Kerry and staff I know. The clinic is much bigger then I knew it, new faces here and there but the feeling of friendliness, knowledge, trust are still the same. My pets are all gone now and no new ones since my heart just can't take anymore loss but i continue to recommend this fabulous clinic.

To the posters I just want you to ask yourself if you were judged over and over on one bad day or someones misconception of you, your spouse, your child, your sibling, your friends or family and then had that person put it out on social media how would you feel. Shame I hope.

After trying multiple different vets in the city, this is paws-down the best we've used. Our cats (even Mr. Grumpy) love Dr. Pisclevich!

Wow that receptionist is not good for business. Incredibly rude. I was told this by a few people, but reserved judgement. Well i just called there for some info and she was as advertised!

Love Dr Karen Skakun, we have taken our four legged family members since 2000. Always friendly, helpful and very compassionate.

No real complaints other than it is very expensive here, quite a bit more than other vets in the area and there is no advantage to going here over other vets. The cost of spaying our pup here was nearly double the cost at the spay and neuter clinic.

Fabulous experience. My dog was brutally beaten and one of the vets helped him out. Afterwards the vet did not charge me for the expenses or medication needed.
