I have been a regular customer in there basically for 6 years since I've moved into the area. Today I was doing price matching which they're finally starting to do they say they match all competitors prices however this is not the case. The cashier serving me today was quite polite until I told her I had several price matches to do and she did honor everyone except the rutabaga which was much cheaper at food Fair and she was very polite with Stern and made it quite clear they do not accept any price matches from food fair when I asked her the reason why she just simply said they don't. I pointed out to her that is just ludicrous and that was very similar to saying that Safeway is not a competitor of theirs either way it was only one item she didn't honor but quite obviously they do not match all competitors prices just something to be aware of before you go shopping for any large item make sure they price match that store because they don't honor all stores sale prices. All else there is great.

The security harasses anybody of Aboriginal descent. I've been followed numerous times inside by the SAME guards, like as though it was my first time shopping there. I've been shopping there since 2019, mind you. This evening, this darker gentleman, stood directly behind me as a bagged, my paid for, groceries. Get better security please, not some weirdo lurking around the aisles and corners. Seems VERY stalker-like.

Incompetent staff, they cannot stock the drinks/chocolate sections properly, always 60% out of stock of simple items like Lindt chocolate and Pepsi / coke. They should be ashamed to be called a NoFrill store to be honest.

It can be a pretty rough crowd in here. Security is kept hopping. Meat selection is pretty light. Veggies and fruits are average. They have almost everything the big stores have. Usually a couple tills open but can still be a wait to get through.

The male dark security guard is an joke I said I stole from the store meanwhile he looked through my bag and I had walmart stuff in there he proceeded to try and stop me from leaving and he put his hands on me well I made a big complaint be careful when u go there

Very friendly and helpful. Family atmosphere. Everybody knows everybody. Different from other stores in a positive way. Unkind experiences do happen but seldom.

A smaller community grocery store with slef-checkout available. The staff are extremely friendly. The selection of products is limited due to the smaller size, but a great option if you can't handle the size of Superstore.

A great place to shop, for all your essential needs and basic goods requirements, not like Opaskwayak Cree Nation Mb, they refuse to accept your requests for off reserve members and keep them in control over what is known as food or hampers to feed families.

Great place to get all of your daily needs. Affordable, easy to grab and go. Under new ownership and owned by the friendliest and nicest of operators I've met (I rarely know who the owner is tbh), Chris let me know he's the new owner and was happy to show me around his store and have a chat. Good guy, good location, fresh, good pricing. Not a fancy, all dressed up and over priced massive supermarket by any means but also not a dumpy, warehouse style either. I honestly do 90% of my shopping here and can't see that changing. And, can use optimum card there too for points so can't be beat. Whatever I can't find here tends to be somewhat specialty so I hit as Asian market or sometime SS but that's bec of what I buy. Bright, clean, well stocked, fresh and again, in and out is easily done unless super busy so it's great

Great prices, great staff, the one negative feedback is the place is a little small. The best deals can be found here in St Boniface.

So the slogan says their prices won't be beat, tried to price match and was told no because it was not on their list. I won't go out of my way to go to No Frills again. Save-on-Foods does not advertise their "won't be beat" but they truly won't be beat.
! My advice to others, go to save on foods, its cleaner, i save money and find everything i need! ‍️

If I just have to pop in for coffee this is the place! Friendly staff! No big crowds, at least when I'm there.
10 September 2021 10:30
A smaller location yes but has the same environment as any other, yet there's always a friendly cashier and tons of deals.
18 August 2021 14:35
A suitable selection of items but not all brands are available as compared to their Super Store supermarkets. Good customer service and surface parking is available. Convenient location close to downtown and St. Boniface.

Very nice everytime I went. Just usually a long line up, but that is only because they actually cover all Covid-19 protocalls.
02 July 2021 1:03
I gave $1.25 and the cashier entered $1.10 so I was short changed by the cashier by $0.10 because he only gave me a nickel back. No pun intended. Usually it's ok when I buy groceries there.

Nice little store for picking a few quick things up. Has the essentials GREAT prices and often has good sales on meat. Has all the basics at wholesale prices.

Store was crowded, appeared to be above provincially mandated capacity, with no one tracking customer counts. Employees were actively blocking the already too narrow aisles while stocking product, forcing customers to ignore directional signage to get past them. Prior to the pandemic, the store was a good source of promotional food pricing. The only decent pricing I saw during my visit was reduced price stickers on meat product of questionable condition (greenish tinge on the bone of some of the steaks). I won't be bothering to visit again in the near future due to lack of value, and disregard for safe distancing during an ongoing pandemic.

Bit small store with not many choices but still a supermarket. It has a small parking lot too. The good thing about this supermarket is that it is very accessible. It is good for a quick restocking of your groceries. To the outside visitor it must be reminded that the whole area surrounding this supermarket is a 50 km per hour area including Goulet and Marion. These streets used to have a 60 km speed limit until recently in 2020. Someone asked about green cabbage. Yes, they have.

Great store manager- Trevor, heck of a nice guy.he's going to go places and apparently has already been to quite a few
10 March 2021 22:50
Many of the same products found at Superstore but with less foot traffic. Not the best selection of meat but very nice vegetables.
16 February 2021 15:09
Usually well stocked, clean, not typically too busy. I definitely prefer here over shopping at a lot of other places.
06 January 2021 2:37
Clean and well laid out, friendly cashiers great prices. Easy to find what I needed and I've never been there before.
12 December 2020 17:56
Today was very disappointed they had no 2% white milk no chocolate milk at all place was packed no pop so many shells were unstuck.
18 October 2020 10:33
Crowed store, several specials sold out, like bacon, staff rather surly when you ask a question. We do not live in Winnipeg so this does not reflect a positive feeling for the city
09 September 2020 21:36
Good place for quick groceries, but not a lot of selection for larger groceries or rarer items.
01 September 2020 4:30
They have most of what you need in the way of groceries, though they might not have some specialty stuff. The prices are great, though, and they carry good beatrice dairy products.
24 August 2020 9:56
I'd give 5 stars but their stock is limited to the space they occupy.
Build or move.
Other than that.love No Frills
23 April 2020 7:18
Great prices, surprisingly varied selection of foods-lots of good produce-though somewhat lacking in selection as regards fresh protein (no fresh seafood for example, though that is probably because seafood has a short shelf-life and requires dedicated space.) But to reiterate: great prices-our bill is 1/2 of what it amounts to at Superstore or especially Safeway.
13 April 2020 16:42
I like shopping at this No Frills.the only complaint I have is that they do not have a public washroom.
01 April 2020 5:25
It's quite busy there around 5: 15pm I went with my son who is almost 2. Couldn't get a looney for a cart so I basically ran around the store bumping into people chasing after him. Didn't even get to buy anything because he's crazy and wouldn't stand still long enough to wait in line.
