I’m 26, I’ve never been for a facial ever and I’m terrible with skincare routines. My sisters got me a gift certificate for Urban Retreat Derma Spa for my birthday and I got a HydraFacial treatment. I have sensitive skin and a few white/black heads but no acne in general. I booked with Cassandra who did an amazing job! Not only did the facial leave me cleansed, refreshed and very moisturized but Cassandra made the experience 10x better. Her uplifting personality and humour made the experience one to remember. The facial really extracted everything from my pores and made my skin so smooth. I really enjoyed my time at the spa:) Thank you so much Cassandra! I’ll be booking again with you!

My experience: I was friendly greeted over the phone by Cassandra (brown hair can't miss her bc of her huge personality) she is a great person and knows how to make someone feel comfortable and welcomed.

Treatment time!: Leah! I was greeted by her as she was the one doing my treatment!

She knew what I was going threw TO A TEE! Asked me about my sensitivitys as me and saylsilic acid DO NOT MIX WELL. The products she used on my face were amazingg! I got the extraction and the aerolase! I have terrible skin.

After my treatment I looked like a completely different women!

On Aug 18, I had Derma-planing, a hydro facial and an Aerolase treatment with Michelle. She explained the benefits of each treatment and made sure that they met my needs. These treatments have made a WORLD of difference in the texture and colour of my skin! The redness is GONE and my pores and fines lines are SO MUCH BETTER! The other thing that I can’t get over is that it was PAIN FREE! I highly (highly!) recommend Urban Retreat Derma Spa and I suggest that every woman incorporate the Aerolase into her beauty regimen!

I always request Elis at Urban Retreat Spa and my skin has never looked better. She has introduced me to IPL and my under arms have never looked or felt softer, she also does the waxing of my brows and lip and they always look AMAZING! Ladies if you havent tried the Image MAX Stem Cell Creme, trust me its worth every PENNY! I get compliments all the time about how my skin is glowing, baby soft and flawless, I would highly recommend Elis to anyone.

I've been a client of Michelle's for over 20 years and have followed her through her career! I often get compliments on how good my skin looks and I give credit to Michelle for helping me use excellent products, I use a combination of Dermalogica, Image and DMK. I had my 1st microneedling treatment last month and while I wasn't sure what to expect I was really impressed with the results and look forward to the next one.

My mother in law has also become a regular and she looks younger now than she did 5 years ago. If you're looking to age later and interested in excellent skin care products I highly recommend you check them out.

I saw Tyra for a image signature facial and she was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and professional and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed! Very bad experience with EXTRACTION FACIAL.
After a very painful experience, it's third day after extraction facial and still my face have vary bad bruising and whole face filled with brown spots. My face is still hurting while touching. It's like I paid them to spoil my face.would NEVER go there again. Very disappointed

I've seen Elis for a few different treatments and have loved absolutely all of them. She took the time to educate me on what would be best suited for my skin which included the different facials and products they offer. I've had a few facials which were all great and made my skin look and feel amazing. She also suggested trying out the eyelash lift and tint, and eyebrow dye, after some of my comments made to her about wanting to microblade my eyebrows but not wanting to actually have that procedure done, and same with eyelash extensions. I could not believe the difference those two services made to my eyelashes and brows. A very reasonable and affordable alternative to lash extensions and microbladed eyebrows! Definitely a noticeable, polished, change to my face. Was just what I wanted for someone who rarely wears make-up but wanted to feel a little more put together.

The spa itself is nice and very clean, and definitely recommend Elis!

I started going to see Elis at the Urban retreat Derma spa sometime during the start of this year.thus far, I have gone to see her about four times and the results I have seen are unbelievable!

During the course of my life, I have always been a victim of dreaded acne. It was never really bad to where I needed medical prescriptions, but still bad enough to where I felt very uncomfortable in my own skin. Thoughts such as "I bet those people are staring at my face right now because of my acne" would run through my head on a daily basis. The issue became oh so much worse when the pandemic started, causing my acne to become way worse than it already was. No matter what products I used or routines I tried, I could not overcome the horrific "Mask Face".

Once a very close friend of mine referred me to her specialist here named Elis, I decided to give her a shot! Elis was so kind and inviting when I first met with her.she immediately made me feel so welcome and very accepted for who I was, even with my acne ridden face. My first treatment was the hydra facial, where she rejuvenated my face with moisture and sucked out any gunk within my pores. Let me tell you, I walked out of there feeling like I finally found the answer to overcome this ever lasting battle that I had with my acne.

Let's fast forward to today, my face is clearer than I could have ever felt possible. I have maybe one pimple on my cheek, but it is currently going away with the cleansers that Elis suggested to me at checkout. My skin is full of life, it has colour and moisture. My skin is extremely clear! When I walk out in public the only thoughts going through my mind are "I look so good right now, watch me work this flawless skin! ".

I want to remind you that this was after only four visits within the span of a year. Following Elis's steps for washing my face at home (which are so easy to follow, its unreal) has helped me space out my visits while still keeping flawless skin.

Bad experience. I fell when the treatment table slid out as I was leaning on it getting dressed. I hit my head into the wall and got a concussion. The esthetician was very kind and apologized for not locking the wheels. The owner on the other hand was rude. Made me feel stupid for not using the counter or chair in the room. Never apologized or showed any concern at all that I was injured at her salon. My daughter and I are long time customers. I will not be returning. I was very surprised this owner could care less about her customers.

I had a few services so far done by Elis and I have been super happy with the results. She was friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring. First visit was super welcoming which made every other visit that much better. Elis is also great at follow ups and makes sure you’re happy with your service even after a few days or weeks. I love that. It shows that she genuinely cares about her clients and their well being. Good work!

Urban Retreat Derma Spa has amazing products and services (gift certificates right now) as well as some really nice gift items. (For guys too). I’ve known the owner Michelle for over 20 years.followed her as she moved, until she opened her own spa on St Anne’s Rd (just north of Bishop and worth the drive!). Her and the other estheticians are highly trained, top-notch and obviously love what they do! I’ve known Leah many years also and she’s awesome too. (Other 2 seem amazing too, I just don’t know them) As everyone “shops local” keep this great local spa in mind! (They even have a drive thru window!). Some of my fave products: image vital c serum, the max stem cell serum, ageless total repair creme and image spf 50 sunscreen. The Hydrafacial is a great treatment.

Urban retreat is the best spa in Winnipeg. Aynsley especially had been so wonderful to me and helped me with my skin. A beautiful and welcoming place to be. Easy to make appointments and they’re new drive through boutique is awesome!

This is without a doubt the best place for facials in winnipeg! I’ve been seeing Leah for years and she is so knowledgeable about all things skin care! They do frequent continuing education and always have the newest technologies! Great atmosphere, great service and noticeable results!
