VENETIAN NAIL SPA St.Mary's @ St.Vital Centre

My acrylic nails turned out nice but i was charged almost $60 more than what a full set is advertised on their website. I asked for very short almond nails with red french tips, nothing too fancy. So when i was told that my total was $114 i was shocked. I will not be going back.

Do not recommend. I went there last weekend and I paid 55$ for a regular pedicure with gel. I have ingrown and I advised the person. But nothing was done. The nails were only filed and buffed. They did not use a nail clipper or remove the ingrown. I wear choose daily and its hurting. So I will now book a different nail salon and do the pedicure again. What a waste of money. Do not go with the luxurious look of the salon. Go somewhere, where you will get better services.

My first time trying shellac pedicure. Very friendly service. The atmosphere is pretty—I like that the lighting is bright, the decor is sparkly, nice music playing in the background. I would go back and I would recommend to others as well.

New customer to the Venetian Nail Spa. They took me in right away and I had a lovely experience. The staff was kind, patient and very courteous. The woman who did my nails checked in with me many times during the service to make sure I was happy. Great experience. I have already told my friends and family. I absolutely will be back!

I wouldn’t go back to this place, very rough with my nails, one of the staff members forced me to write a 5 star review, which i found really weird.when it came time to pay one of the workers looked in my wallet and asked for a 5$ tip.

Lisa was incredible! She was kind and careful to observe my needs, providing a longer volcanic lavender soak when I loved it! My nails look fabulous and her attention to detail is fabulous. Also, best hand massage I've ever experienced!

Rachel did a very great job at recreating my nail art inspo! Very gentle and kind girl. The staff were overall extremely nice and welcoming!

Got my nails done on the first day of opening. It was pretty chaotic as expected but the staff were pretty efficient. I went to get my nails removed about a week later. I was so uncomfortable in the salon. I had like 3 workers crowding me the entire time and talking about who knows what. It was so loud and honestly not that busy. The employees were yelling back and forth. They need to work on providing a comfortable atmosphere and proper communication with customers. The manager was like talking at me not with me. "This is the same, yeah, it's the same! "

I wouldn't go back.

Very nice new place. Came in for the 50% off treatments with my daughters. My shellac turned out very nice and the staff was very friendly. My daughters were also happy with their nails. Will go back again for sure!

Paid 95 dollars for just plain design. Staff talks with each other and laugh all the time. So disrespectful. Your 50% is scam!

My friends and I have been seeing Thomas at another location for years. Now that he’s here, we’ll be coming all the time! He’s simply the best at dip powder nails in Winnipeg. We love you Thomas!

Terrible service, poor customer service and rude owner! My overall experience was terrible and traumatic. I definitely do not recommend this to anyone. I went to this salon yesterday to get my previous shellac removed. I asked for shellac removal and they sales talked me to get it repainted for a cheaper price. As the nail technician was buffing my old shellac, I can feel that she was buffing my nails too much as I can feel a little bit of pain and heat on the sides of my fingers. An hour after I left the salon, my nails starting to rip and tear apart. Three of my nails broke where I felt that the technician over-buffed my nails. Same side of the nail and on the same hand. My nails are short and had multiple layers of shellac/polish on them so it should technically strengthen it and resist breakage but it didnt as it was left paper thin. One of my fingers bled a little bit too. This happened in less than 24 hours of getting the service done. I called their salon today to inform them of what happened. The owner refused to acknowledge that they did a poor job buffing my nails he just assumed that because I've been getting my nails done regularly that it's possible that my nails could get thinner. My nails are naturally strong and won't bend easily. I rarely get my nails done too. I only got my nails done once this year, October 2022 and went to their salon for removal. He said that he's been in the business for 14 yrs and have seen this multiple times. He also asked if I can prove this to him by sending photos of my nails 3 days before I went to their salon and send them to their instagram. He said that I can come back and they can put extensions and make it look pretty which I refused because I don't want them to cause any more damage to my nails. He ended our phone conversation and bid goodbye as he said that we were just going on circles. In short, we didn't come to a resolution. Knowing that they just opened at this location a few days ago and also seeing the other one star review here, plus my experience, please be careful going to this salon.
