Very friendly staff and Doctor, always on time, if I come early, I'm in early, very little wait time!

I have been a patient of Dr. Cody van Dijk for three years and after every visit I come away so impressed with his knowledge and the new technology he employs in comparison to his predecessors.
He is a true expert in his field and has been widely recognized as such.

I've had my eyes checked here for many years and have also purchased many pairs of glasses and lenses from the store. The experience has always been professional and pleasant.

Our family has been going to Village optical over a decade. All three doctors I have seen over the years have been very friendly and provided us honest advice. We have been getting our prescription glasses at this place too. Staff at store front has always been very helpful and courteous. Selection of frames and lenses has been great and service is quick. Highly recommend.

I had extremely friendly and professional service from Dr Berg while being fitted for multi focal contacts. It was not an easy feat!
Dr Berg patiently tried many, MANY different contacts/lens strengths until we found EXACTLY the right combination so I could read really well but still see in the distance. I was very relieved because I knew it was going to be tricky and that we may not find the right combination for me.
I was so happy ro end up with success!

Dr. Dillon is great with kids. She was able to keep both of my kids engaged throughout the entire exam. Highly recommended.

My appointment was with Dr Dillon. She is very professional and very friendly. I feel she is very knowledgeable and takes the time to get accurate results. I needed a last minute appointment and she was nice enough to squeeze me into her last day before going on vacation. Excellent.

We've been seeing Dr. Lowen for going on 14 years, and its always a great time. She's personable, always remembers us, and my kids love going to get their eyes checked with her. Village optical is a nice quiet atmosphere with friendly staff.

I 100% recommend Village Optical for the excellent service! Everyone was nice and helpful!

Disaster!

We are very disappointed with the service of Dr. Erin Loewen & entire team of Village Optical. Because of them, our five year daughter had wrong prescription glasses for a year & we did not get any clear answer from Dr. Loewen or any team members about who is responsible for the mistake? ! We will never take our daughter again & will also encourage our family & friends to stay away from them.

In February 2022, we took our five year daughter for her routine eye exam with Dr. Loewen. After the exam, we ordered new glasses with them. Unfortunately the frame started breaking within four months of normal use! We had to replace it under warranty.

In December 2022, We took our daughter for yearly eye exam with Dr. Loewen. At the end of exam, Dr. Loewen said that there is no change in her prescription & she can continue with the glasses that she have. In February 2023, we got letter from our daughter’s school, indicating that the glasses are not representing the correct prescription! Immediately we booked another exam with Dr. Loewen to find out the issue. After the exam, she found out that lenses were in wrong side which makes us very shocked & nervous!

At the end of eye exam, Dr. Loewen ordered new lenses & told us that we will have to go to the lab with our frame for measurements. I was not ready to go to the lab as it was not our fault! So I requested new frame as well.

When I asked Dr. Loewen how this mistake happened, she said she wish she can give me answer but she doesn’t know when & how this happened! Dr. Loewen said it could have happened at school while playing and lenses could come out and my daughter or someone at school put it back in wrong eye! That excuse was completely unacceptable, how can both lenses come out and even if they do, how can it fit in wrong eye as they have different shape for both eyes!

During our conversation, I also reminded Dr. Lowen that we came for routine eye exam in December 2022 & she did not notice that mistake during that appointment too. Dr. Lowen was not particularly apologetic even when I reminded about the appointment. I also asked Dr. Loewen about the damage has happened to our daughter’s eyes for wearing wrong prescription glasses for a year & she said there shouldn’t be any damage as prescription for both eyes does not have a huge difference. Unbelievable!

Our poor daughter would continue wear wrong prescription glasses until her yearly eye exam (which is due in 2024) if we didn’t get letter from her school telling us to get her eyes checked with optometrist!

Great place and very kind and friendly staff. Would highly recommend for your vision care. The only thing I wish is that there would be a bigger selection and room for their eyeglass/ sunglass wear.

From the front desk to the testing area the staff are always friendly and professional.

I’ve seen Cam for a number of years and have always found him to be patient and thorough with his testing and answering questions.

Dr. Loewen was fantastic. So warm, welcoming, and professional. She's the kind of person you could imagine being good friends with. The front staff were also great.

Visit was on time and office was well organized and very clean. Dr Berg was very nice, thorough and professional ensuring all my questions were answered. Janice was simply wonderful helping me pick the perfect glasses for me.

Today I went to the Village Optical for Vision Care Store located at 1079 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg to replace a pair of eye glasses temples. The gentleman, Donavan Simpson-Elie, served me with extreme professionalism, patience, friendliness and kindness. It was such a wonderful experience. The setting of the store and the staff were awesome as well. Thank you so very much. Bravo!

Always excellent service! Dr. Loewen answers questions and offers exceptional advice about taking care of our eyesight as well as the option of eyeglasses versus contacts. Very knowledgeable and professional!

We have been going to Village Optical for many years now and have always found the staff to be extremely friendly and Professional. Recently I was not satisfied with the fit of my new glasses but Carly went out of her way to change them and worked relentlessly to ensure I was happy with the fit. She is definitely an asset to the ream.

I’ve been going here for years…

We booked an appointment over a month ago for today. I was very specific in the date and time we required because we are currently living out of town. We attended for our appointments today and was told they were for yesterday (which we would not have made because we were not available yesterday). If it was yesterday, why did no one even call my husband, or I to check to see why we weren't there? They did absolutely nothing to try to accommodate us despite us telling them we came in from out of town.

We will make sure we share our experience with everyone we know. Very poor customer service!

Excellent quality eyewear. Can accommodate special eye needs. Very knowledgeable staff. Melanie is so patient and will go well beyond to find frames/lenses that are just perfect in every way. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else. We are long time customers and continue to be very pleased with the service at Village Optical.

As always I was very impressed with the office personnel and the excellent service provided by Dr. Dillon. She answered all my questions and explained the condition of my eyes and how thinks looked. Totally satisfied!

Great and friendly staff! Came today with eyeglasses that I bought elsewhere. They adjusted and checked if it matches the prescription for free! Even though they weren't bought in their store. Highly recommend!

Colleen at reception is fantastic! Efficient and friendly. Dr. Loewen is terrific. Personable, thorough and easy to converse with. Frame options are decent. Paying for the purchase was very slow but Donovan was very engaging to chat with.
