Self check out is usually very annoying with approximately only 1/2 the stations available. There are 4 stations that have Never been in use, and I come at least once a week for 2 years. I don't drive so have no other shopping options and don't do well in lineups. This is my biggest problem with the Winkler Walmart.

I'm very disappointed to have walked into our local Walmart to find that they have gone woke. That pride/transgender display you have for children are disgusting. You guys really don't care about your business do you!?

Pretty terrible. First one here to get Resident Evil 4 for PS5. Watched them open the box. Then they couldn't figure out how to sell me a copy and wouldn't hold one till later. Now I don't get one cause they were sold out by the time i was done work. Thanks Walmart. Where first come first serve doesn't matter.

Typical Walmart. Shelves are always poorly faced and stocked. This location does not let you bring the baskets out of the self checkout area, which really sucks because I don't want to carry my groceries so far. Also they charge for bags so that is an added expense that most people can't afford, so bring your own bags or juggle all your groceries to your vehicle.

Most unprofessional cashier! She was on her cell phone, texting while we were bagging groceries! She didn't speak louder than a whisper so it was very difficult to understand her, and Walmart - why did you get rid of the paper bags? ! I understand the plastic, but now I have to juggle all my groceries to the vehicle. Walmart - do better!

As someone who works at a business in town and takes customer service very seriously, I find it extremely frustrating how Walmart recently changed how many staff are working at the front check outs. I had a handful of items and waited twenty five minutes to purchase my stuff because there was only two people working at the checkouts. My husband went in the next day and spent thirty five minutes waiting just to buy a few groceries. It’s not only frustrating for me but I also witnessed so many senior citizens waiting in line with heavy objects that weren’t even getting help lifting their items at the till. I actually wanted to go and help them with their purchases because that’s what we are trained to do when working with customers. Walmarts philosophy is to “save money” and “live better”. But I didn’t see anything remotely like that when shopping there.

Between the horrible prices and the awful experience at till 7 in the Winkler Walmart May 18, I don't look forward to ever going back. I am a disabled senior and was unloading my four hundred dollars worth of merchandise of which my animal supplies were on top of my buggy. They included 24 cans of cat food, one 9.1k bag if chow, a 7.71 kg bucket of litter, and one 75 piece box of training pads weighing about 7 lbs. I was then rebuked for unloading my heavy objects first, and had pointed out a sign that was hidden by a pole and buried at the end of the belt, not even close to where I could see it without searching because of obstacles. When I pointed out that I could not get at the rest of my merchandise without first removing these articles I was further chastised to the point that another couple who were paying for there purchases came to my defense in agreement. It would seem that Walmart has not appropriately thought out space requirements when it comes to the 'no bag' policy, and apparently has not taken the time to teach their staff some manners or how to lift 15-20 lbs, that being the heaviest purchases that this senior was purchasing. I was able to lift the bucket and bag into the cart, out of the cart, back into the cart and into the car without difficulty. The 5-7 pound box offered little challenge either, or the case of canned cat food. Walmart used to have a drawing card because of their more reasonable prices but it doesn't offer any benefit anymore, raising the price on a 156g can of cat food by ten cents a can for example. Can't find much in the way of a reason to shop there anymore. Don't need the abuse.

Had to run in tonight to get a bunch of miscellaneous items, things which I can not purchase where I live and I can not afford to be making multiple trips to Winkler so I was regrettably checking out a couple minutes past closing, despite my best efforts to usher my five year old through the store quickly. Once I was done checking out, my daughter was needing the washroom in the worst way so I told her ok let’s go quickly! A staff member near by scoffs and quips under her breath “the store closed ten minutes ago” I responded that I wasn’t about to let my child wet her pants. Then as I was leaving, another staff member standing outside in plain clothes chastised me for not heeding the posted hours on the door. It’s not as though I was in there dawdling and loitering, or that I make a habit of holding them up. I did my best to get in and out quickly. These staff members need to adjust their attitudes, every person on this planet has gotten stuck at work late, yes it stinks but being rude to the customers is not going to do anything but garner complaints.

The staff are friendly as of May31 2022 it has change some what however the store needs to keep track of carts outside as one of their cart drop offs has moved to block traffic in the lot and unless store management are blind, which it seems they are shouldnt have missed it this morning coming to work however which also proves they tend to be lazy to have things done or more appropriately dont care

It's a Walmart, some stuff was a mess on the shelves and product not it's right place. The most annoying thing is the majority of the stuff in the electronics section was not priced and only had a bar code sticker on it.

It is very disorganized. Staff is not friendly. Mostly self check out. In the future I will drive to Grand Forks to shop.

If you like self checkouts i guess this is the store for you, otherwise be prepared to wait, this store has only 4 regular checkouts which aren't even always all open.

It is smaller than regular Walmart you can find in Winnipeg, and prices for specialty products are high, but everyday essentials are priced on a comparable level with other stores in Winkler. I like their accessories and some things in clothing section.

I had too many times where I would buy something that has a prise on it but when I go and scan it, turns out to be for a different prise, so I have to ether go and argue for the prise or put the thing back, housekeeping is also something that I noticed that is not always being done properly, some products could be out of its place, so have to go around to look for a thing that you need and for the prize you are looking for, however, besides all that workers are always nice and redy to help, never had any issues with casheers or the announcement people.

“Never left a review on anything”, not sure the name but the younger girl with pink hair working in customer service does her job very professional and in a polite matter.hands down deserves a raise.

Other older women don’t even get me started.tried using western union to send money to Mexico and she didn’t read the location right, so she sent it to the wrong location, and she didint even refund it for me didint even try helping or apologize. Was a very long process she’s lucky i have patience. Seen her be rude to many other customers. So many horrible encounters with that employee.

Covid 19 mask mandatory doesn't exhist in this place. I used to like going shopping there now I don't. I don't feel safe.

Although I don't shop here very often, when I do they usually have to many different options to choose from! LOL I needed the 'customer service' peeps, who were prompt, kind and accommodating. Walmart has to be the easiest place and with less hassles, when needing to return something!
I am a bit ol' fashioned, and enjoy a somewhat quite, more personal atmosphere while shopping.
Walmart, you got your i's dotted and your t's crossed. Thanks Eh!

I am very disappointed with the service. Apparently if you buy a product on a black friday sale and it stops working within a month, if you want to exchange it for a new working product, the exact same one, you have to pay the difference to the full cost of the item. I think this is extremely unethical and unprofessional. This was a thoroughly unpleasant experience and I astonished at the lack of moratlity and professionalism of this company. I will definitely avoid shopping here in the future.

Too many customers either not wearing a mask or wearing the mask with their nose fully exposed. Walmart Winkler is absolutely horrible about enforcement of the current Provincial Health orders.

Well, it's Walmart! What can you expect? This one is actually alright, never go on Saturday! You will be waiting in the checkout line for a good 30 minutes!
