I love this place
I would have walked around with my woman but my body was weak

I really look forward to my next visit and can hardly wait for LE FESTIVAL DU VOYAGEUR

First time here, and wow did not know it is part of such a long trail system plan to bike it next year.

This is a BEAUTIFUL diamond. Low rating is due lack of lot parking with lighting near the bleachers. Walked back to car in very low lighting, to vehicle parked on road leading to diamond.

Poor park, no trails, no benches, no picnic tables, not even a playground, waste of green space.

Great ride through the park. I bought a bicycle last spring (an MTB) so I tried out the dirt paths, and found a few geocaches while I was passing them anyway. It adds some distance to my commute, so I might take my alternate if time is short, but this is a nice scenic ride to and from work.

Beautiful park for a quick walk in the city. Lots of space to sit and have a picnic with the family. Would recommend!

Though Fort Gibraltar in the park is closed due to covid, there are nice trails among the trees by the river. Just watch for cyclists. Some come by fast and they don't ring bells to warn you.

Beautiful, fair-sized park with many walking and biking trails! Also of note; this is where the Seine River meets up with the Red River so that is cool!

One of my favourite parks near downtown. Watch a sunset from the viewing tower, check out Fort Gibraltar, watch the Remax balloon launch, trek through the trails on the riverfront, go under the train bridge into the forest, watch a baseball game, there’s tons to do here and it’s never busy.

The park is great in the summer time and winter. Nice path to walk on through the forest. Ample free parking spaces.

Well I wasn't at the park but if you park on the street in front, near the south steeetend you can get free wifi.

We had a picnic lunch and walked in the park past the fort and over to the ice tower. The ice is melting quickly from the tower. All that's left of the ice sculptures is their skeletons.

Home to Festival du voyager this park has lots to offer, besides the sweet sound of the music in the background for our famous festival du voyager, this park is great for hikes, jiggers or just a beautiful walk with the kids and dogs! @

I came here to try the hiking but the walkways were flooded. The riverbank are eroding severely. It looks like The City is just letting the bank give way and nothing is being done to stop it. It will be gone in a few years.

I am there mostly for the river trails of a few yearly events. Wide open spaces, excellent ball diamonds and lots of options for multi purpose paths not only in this park but an adjacent one and more. Added bonus Fort Gibraltar although access to the fort itself is very limited.

Whittier Park - a hidden gem in the middle of the city. Beautiful hiking/biking trails, the other Forks in Winnipeg of the Seine and Red Rivers, and Fort Gibraltar the recreation of the famous North West Company for complete with Voyagers and ladies of the period. Apparently they have Time Travelers weddings in a beautiful hall on site.

Festival du voyageur is always lovely to go to, would like to see similar events here in the summer. Really brings a sense of community and reminds us of our french roots.

There is a fort along the river for festival. A good lenght bike path along the river. A walking trail in the park and a crawler trail for RC Cars along the train tracks

Beautiful, and peaceful park. I was here on January 20th, and they look like they are getting ready for Festival duVoyageur. Lots of workers bustling around clearing snow and seeing up fences.

I have walked in this part every day with my dogs for 5 years. Lots of great trails and well shaded if it's hot out.

One of my favorite places in Winnipeg, beautiful walk that leads you into Lagimodière-Gaboury Park

Beautiful green space right on the water. Interesting wooden structures including Fort Gibraltar next door. Very interesting residential houses to look at. No play structure or other entertainment for kids.

A park in the middle of the city, with an out of town feel. The path along the Red River goes to the Seine River, following that river until you exit the park, perhaps 2 km covered.

I’ve been to Whittier Park mostly to attend Festival du Voyageur. The festival occurs yearly in winter and it’s a lot of fun with various snow sculptures, performers, French Canadian food (e.g, spit pea soup, sugar pie, tourtière, etc.), and live music to listen and dance to. During the day, the Festival has more family friendly activities often with an appreciation of earlier pioneer living and other activities. Definitely worth checking out. It’s often very cold out … they do have heated small venues and fire pits, but dress warmly nonetheless!

A great historical place in Saint Boniface. Also home to the annual Festival du Voyageur which is always well worth visiting - great sculptures, activities, food and of course music!
