End of August I started calling, on hold for 5 hours over 4 days. Emailed no answer. Finally got through on the phone. I had a credit of a few hundred $ on my bill so I wanted it refunded. They said I needed to send in a meter reading via email. I did. Sent another email a week later. No response. On the phone again for so far 3 hours in 4 days. Sent another email. It has been 15 days trying to get my refund and still no response. Horrible service. If I could give under one star I would.

Never received a bill at the end of May. So paid my usual amount. Turns out that month they did a "guesstimate " reading. Called in a reading and spoke to a customer service yep who was supposed to update the file and send out a new accurate reading bill. I received in the mail today, not a new reading billbut instead a final notice bill. The customer service guy to I spoke to did NOTHING! Wasted my time on the phone and didn't even do his job. Will be calling to speak to someone higher when they are open.

Making payment arrangements should cancel interest on amounts owing, especiallyat this point in time. It also takes an absurd amount of time to get a bill after sending a reading and should be almost automatic. Another complete waste of tax payer money of bounce around clerical garbage to justify useless jobs.

I needed the water to my house shut off. I had several employees come out to locate, repair and to shut off the service. I used 311 and water and waste services. They were all incredibly helpful and quick. I especially want to thank Jason from water and waste as he was here twice and both times went above and beyond to help us! Thank you Jason and all.

Water and waste dept clearly raising rates astronomically to accommodate city projects at taxpayers expense to the point of hi-way robbery.

Must wait hours on hold on the phone. If you email them they take a whole month to respond. Terrible service. City of Winnipeg should be embarrassed. This is on going problem for past year in my experience, probably longer.

They do not answer my email after I emailed them 1x per week for 2 months straight after asking for information about changing addresses. Nobody ever replied. I could only call them during my lunch break at work, I was on hold for an hour straight every day for 3 weeks. This makes government services look like a joke. Why even offer a service if its that bad.

There isn't an option other than to use the city provided water and waste company. I haven't ever used water as I was in rentals. Requesting set up of my account it 2.5 months to acknowledge my request. At my 3 month bill cycle and needing to submit a meter reading, my account had still not been set up to display an account or meter information.
My bill was issued online, and I could see a total, still without account or ability to preview a bill.
Calling them I would sit hours on hold and then the call would get dropped. In attempt to make a payment arrangement, the response i recieved was no- as it was too far away and was required to pay 1 day prior to my requested arrange date.
Not to mention I was physically attacked by a stanger outside my home as advertised contributing factor this last month as to why I needed to make a payment arrangement.
I am just an honest single mom trying to support my kids and its people and experiences like this that
Leave me no faith in humanity.

One measly day.allowing circumstances, completely unacceptable.

Tried calling multiple times and it said the phone isn’t available, they opened at 8: 30 I’m calling at 9: 30. They want me to pay the bulky waste pick up but how do they expect us to pay it if they’re not accessible?

Well I waited on the phone for an hour to be told they need to transfer me to another department they owe me 336.00 credit if shoe was on other foot my water would be turned off. Not to come off offensive but the gentlemen I talked to clearly was handicap 'we wonder why we are waiting hour long to speak to anyone '! Send me my money already ' we need to end crown corporations in Canada because this is the treatment we get!

Takes days sometimes weeks of exchanging emails to finally get any relevant information in regards to billing.
If you try to call them no one answers.

Zero stars. No empathy, no integrity. Worst customer care I've ever received. Half of their processes are morally wrong. I'm disgusted companies are even allowed to conduct business this way.
