Winnipeg West KOA Journey

I would absolutely give this campground a 5 except for the highway noise. The facilities are immaculate and modern. Prices for camping and laundry are reasonable. Big bonus points for home cooked Indian dinner which you can order in advance. It was excellent! Staff are friendly and helpful. Even with the road noise I would stay here again, just try and get a site not next to highway.

Our first time was beginning summer. We went back 2 more times for week both times. Took our family out the last time. The bathroom and showers are kept very clean we loved it. Will be going back alot more next year. Thank you Management you are wonderful people

If you’re looking for a good campground for your family/solo camping (RV’s or Tent) try KOA Journey. The place is well maintained and their staff are approachable. We had a great 2 nights staying there.

Stayed for one night as a stop over.
Staff were incredibly friendly. I think possibly the manager of this site was walking about often and very nice and chatted whenever we saw him. Asked to move site as we’d been placed right next to a busy couple of sites and have a nervous dog, nice enough to let us move.
Toilets were always nice and clean, showers were also.
We were quite close by the highway but still managed to get a decent night of sleep.
Nice grassy space towards back of campsite to walk the dog. One down fall was we took our dog to the dog park and my partner had to hold close the gate as didn’t seem to close properly.

Pleasant experience! Owner / Hosts are very friendly and Proficient! Easy entrance and departure. Bathrooms new and very clean!

Pleasant stay. Friendly staff. Near a highway but we needed to stop for the night. Big sites. Reasonably priced with water power and sewer.

Nice campground off the highway west of Winnipeg. Well cared for and signs of upgrading and expansion. Good price for full service utilities. Pull through sites.

Nicest shower I have seen in the last four years. White shower insert you might put in your house. Bright, clean shower/bathroom area, non-gender specific. A place I want to shower in.

We spent two nights there and used it as a place to explore Winnipeg as we travelled westward. Will keep it in mind for our return trip later in the summer.

Super convenient location for cross-country travel. Friendly, family-run campground. Full hookups. Clean showers. Call ahead to order excellent Indian food made fresh by the proprietors. The samosas are excellent

Staff were very helpful. They were just getting things in order and the ground was still frozen so their was no water hookups. But we could use the facilities at the office/ store and could fill our water tank there

We stayed here for three nights on a recent trip across Western Canada. This RV park is well run, clean and very well maintained. The staff are attentive and friendly. You can also have your propane tank refilled here. Laundry and shower facilities were clean and updated.

Exceptional hosts, clean and large sites. Easy hookups. The owners are on site and spent a ton (fortune) on improvements, including burm that will provide protection from the river buy as well exceptional rv sites overlooking the river.

Great location, just west of the city limits. Gas station and store on site. You are next to the highway, so yes, there will be some traffic noise.

KOA south off Highway #1. Friendly staff, clean sites, good booking in experience, very knowledgeable of the area and Winnipeg.

The row by the highway is the cheapest, noisy, but ok if you don't mind the sound of traffic.

Clean campground with spacious sites for our truck/5th wheel. Owners/Staff very friendly and helpful for touring Winnipeg, providing map and directions. Highway noise was close but easy enough to manage for a 2 night stay.

Amazing place! Very quiet and comfortable. I’ve stayed there for 10 days and enjoyed a lot! The people at the registration were very kind and helpful! I highly recommend.

First of all, this is not a hotel. This is a campground behind the Esso gas station. (Same owners- very nice couple.)
The campsites are the absolute minimum size. All the roads are gravel. There are no lights at night on the property. Great for camping, not so for security. It’s next to the Transcanada Highway, so there is a bit of road noise, even with the trees. The property is gated, but it’s not automatic, so be prepared to hop out and open the gate. And be a good citizen, by closing the gate behind you. ;) There was a pool, laundry and showers, which looked nice, but we did not use them. This is a good location for an overnight stop near Winnipeg.

Excellent park! Very friendly staff, nice pool, laundry, good rates, plenty of variety in sites and everything you need for RVing. The store is well stocked with everything you need for RVing and they sell gad and propane onsite! Best site I've stayed at so far!

Just alright. Not beautiful, right next to transcanada highway with a fair amount of noise ALL NIGHT; horrible wifi; good laundry and washroom services.

We were early in the season so everything was just getting set up. Had butter chicken and samosas and they were fantastic! Would definitely come back.

It's a campground off of highway 1 on the west side just before Winnipeg. We were treated very nicely and was given a choice of which site to have.
It looked a bit run down but we think they were working on it.
Pros: convenient, price was good for full hookup, not busy and nice people
Cons: noisy with lots of highway traffic, work in progress

First thunderstorm of the season and what a safe port in the storm. Thanks to the owners for making it such a good experience. Service, amenities and location make this an ideal stop-over. The effort put into the facility is noteworthy.
