We had a delicious brunch on the patio overlooking the water. The eggs Benedict was fantastic and the service was good. Good value / reasonable prices.

Our server was amazing so 5 stars for her. For the kitchen, none. Way way too long to get our breakfast and it was just ok. The positive reviews tricked us on this one.

La terrasse est magnifique, vue sur la rivière et le pont! Le service a été parfait! Nous avons adoré la chauffée et le fish and chip. On y reviendra assurément!

We were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, and the server Yolanda made everything so special for us. Really loved the place and the experience! It was fantastic! Thank you so much!

HORRIBLE DURING PEAK PERIODS
waiting more than 2 hours for HORRIBLE and OVERPRICED dishes.
As the restaurant was far from our hotel, we hesitated to go inside before being served.
After several 20-minute delays, the overworked waitress announced that the chefs couldn't serve us for at least 30 minutes, even though we could see other people had already been served.
In the end, we were served at 9pm, even though we arrived at 6pm.
The food is overcooked and almost unpalatable.
The restaurant, which is supposed to be one of the only "gastronomic" options in the region, CANNOT handle busy evenings.
At least the service is friendly and the view pleasant.

Menu is misleading no fresh seafood. Seafood chowder was cold as it needed to be reheated at 130pm. Fish and chips.forgot the chips and fish was greasy and overcooked.absolutely horrible

Update: Lived in town for a little over 7 months now as of writing this July 2023, been here lots and the quality is always top notch. Sad that inflation made them take the coffee out of the morning specials, but even at an extra $3 for my meal it's still a decent price.
Phenomenal food, very nice fancy restaurant feel with excellent service. My steak with garlic mashed was perfectly medium as requested, and my side order of shrimp, scallops and mushrooms were extremely well done to the point my only complaint is the portion was way too small for $10 for shrimp, and another $10 for scallops. But the $5 mushroom add-on was plenty.
The seafood chowder was intensely good, I'll likely order the big bowl next time because I'd need nothing else. The starter nachos were a little light on cheese and toppings but similarly perfect in that they were well done but not burnt so the tortilla chips turned golden brown and the flavour was amazing.
My girlfriend had the fish and chips which was also perfect, with extra crunchy fries bursting with flavour.
I hope to be back as often as possible to try absolutely everything they have to offer here, I know it'll be great every time! Shout out to Tracy our server, and the kitchen staff, for a job well done
Edit: went back the next morning for breakfast and had a similarly perfect meal. Best home fries in town hands down! Fanciest eggs Benedict too but the hollandaise was a tad thin, but was otherwise delicious. The server was nice enough to inform me the "porridge" is just prepackaged stuff so I opted for the bagel and cream cheese which came out toasted to perfection so much so the sesame seeds had caramelized to that super satisfying point.
Another shout out to our server, Kierrah, and the kitchen staff for a job well done.

I recently dined at the 1809 restaurant, part of the hotel, and had a pleasant experience. The food, including the stir-fry chicken and steak with garlic mashed potatoes, was decent but not exceptional. However, the breathtaking view of the river elevated the overall atmosphere and bumped up my rating to 4 stars. The server was nice and provided attentive service. I recommend this restaurant for its scenic setting and relaxed dining experience.

Food is expensive, chicken wings are good. But that's about it. Didn't find it very good.

Our waitress took forever to get our coffee, my father had to get up and grad the pot and serve everyone in the restaurant. Our food took over 30 minutes and it was soggy. The place itself was beautiful, and amazing view, maybe if there was more staff it would have been better:)

If you ask me which restaurant in Miramichi I choose in 2022, it will be definitely 1809. Today 5 march 2023 i went there with my family and ordered fish soup, fish and ships and the suggested “special” chicken and ribs! The special wasn’t fresh, in fact the chicken started to look brown and the fries were obviously fried 2 to 3 times at least!
Then the ribs! The knife couldn’t cut it. Not sure if it was meat or a kind of plastic! I asked the waitress about it, and showed it to her, she said sorry, this might be because it was made 2 days ago (as she said)! For real! She asked me if i want another dish, i said no, as it will be the same, just plz any replacement of the rib before to eat before driving. She brought me a roll of fish, and at the end when paying i had to pay the price of the “special” meal (22+tax+tips) + the rest of the order.
If i want to eat stones or plastic or garbage next time, i would go anywhere other than this restaurant!

I love having breakfast there The waitresses are very kind and welcoming I eat there almost 3_4 times a week and am hooked on Eggs Benedict
