Alma Boathouse Restaurant

Not a lot of options for a plant based/vegan. My boyfriend enjoyed the haddock.
Food wasn’t really picture worthy.

Service was excellent! Friendly and quick to the table!
Food was fast to come out! Hot and delicious!
Beer was cold!
We had lobster stuffed mushroom caps, mussels and fries and gravy!

So glad we chose to have dinner here!

My wife ordered the fish and chips & I ordered the seafood platter.

Service was great and the server recommended they could pan sear the scallops and shrimp over deep frying.

I was so glad she informed me that it was an option. Large, flavourful and tender scallops. Best I've had cooked to perfection.

Everything on plate was delicious.

The food is fresh and delicious, the service is good, and the prices are similar to those in Toronto.

Lobster roll with chowder was outstanding. Seafood linguini was as fine as anything we had in Europe. Friendly and relaxed place to dine.

We ate here at the beginning of September. I had the scallops and fries, and my husband had the lobster roll and chowder. The portions were good, the food was tasty, and the prices were reasonable. Our waitress was terrific. She gave us some insider tips on places to visit. We visited three of them, and they were all amazing.

Pulled pork was good. Hamburger (I belive it was frozen not fresh) was gluten free, had gluten free buns. Fries were slightly overdone. Wine was good.

Chef did an awesome job on my GLUTEN FREE pan seared scallops.

Sorry, but this is another review to say that the Alma Boathouse gave us an excellent culinary experience. The chowder was fabulous and the mussels in beer were so good and reasonable (11$) that I allowed myself two (!) servings. The mussels were delicious and fresh, and they were quickly shown the broth and then brought to the table: sweet, tender, plump…. Yum! We ordered the scallops in smoked salmon cream sauce which was rich and unctuous (though I feel they would have been good simply pan-seared with lemon. Our third meal was fried chicken (again excellent) and delicious crispy french fries. Thanks to Darlene, our visit was friendly and a breath of home. Thanks everyone at the Boathouse.

I enjoyed the Lobster Roll and Chowder.
The lobster roll had a good amount of lobster and was not overpowered by the mayo.
The chowder could have been creamier. But, it was still good.
My girlfriend tried the fish and chips. The fries were very good, but the fish itself was just alright.

Food excellent a lot for your money. Girls running off their feet they work hard… was a longggg wait but worth it in the end. Atmosphere was ok… but to quiet at the time anyways some background music would be more inviting…one of our favs in Alma

If you prioritize good things in your life. Stop here and get the lobster roll. Slap ya mum that’s the best roll I’ve ever had no doubt. Make a grown man cry type of food. By golly.

Classic, no frills type dining. Nice selection for the whole family and pleasant staff. Good, comfy place to eat during our Alma visit.

First time trying fried clams here. They were done well!

Wow! This is a place to visit if you find yourself in Alma, NB.
This review is coming a day later than I wanted because we were traveling. So, I hope I remember all the details.
Great seafood! I hope the pics do the menu options we had justice. PEI chowder I found heavy. Here it was very flavourful and light. I could count the scallops. We also had the cod cakes with a side of fries that were great, and the Lobster roll.
Marianne, our server rounded out this experience with her wonderful attitude and east coast friendliness. She recommended the bread pudding, made by Gloria an 80 year old local baker, that was to die for good!
If you are in the neighbourhood or visiting Bay of Fundy National Park, I highly recommend dropping by!

Best lobster roll I’ve ever had I won’t lie and I’ve eaten a lot of lobster rolls. You won’t be disappointed

Busy little place with very good food and fantastic service. Definitely order the lobster dip with pita chips and the lobster mac & cheese. Beware the fish and chips are huge

Marianne’s recommendations and demeanour were outstanding. Although it took a while for the food to arrive (but our our amazing waitress had given us a head’s up) it was worth the wait. We will definitely be back!

Came for lunch and fairly empty at the time. Service was good, huge portion on the fish and chips. Scallops appetizer was really good
