April Saulnier's Dog Training

April is knowledgable about dog training in some respects but not all. While I learned a few things with her, and they were valuable, I left every single class feeling like a failure. April is abrasive, condescending, arrogant, and does not know how to teach people. She's impatient and did not appreciate me asking questions. When I did, she'd stare at me and walk away or ignore me. She's good with bigger dogs, especially dogs who are aggressive and have other problematic behaviours, but she has no patience with little dogs. I wouldn't take my dog there again. She also told me my 13 year old Yorkie was basically untrainable. She said she could train her but didn't know if I wanted to put her through the stress. I paid her to tell me this and felt incredibly deflated. I then hired another trainer who's been working with my 13 year old and my puppy and he's made massive progress with us. He's approachable, calm, patient, and has a variety of approaches whereas April is very linear and inflexible. I wouldn't take my dog to her again.

I highly recommend April for all your dog training needs! She is very knowledgeable and it shows. She has helped us with our German Shepherd. We started doing her puppy classes and have continued training with her ever since. We also bring him to her doggy daycare for the stain and train services she offeres! He loves going and we are very thankful for all her help with our boy. When our dog was about 10 months he started being reactive towards others (dogs and some people) April helped us fix this instantly. She also helped us learn how to properly socialize our dog and the improvement shows. People complement our dog and his behavior all the time. I couldn't have done it without her guidance! Invest in your dog its the best thing you can do!

April's knowledge and straightforwardness along with her expert advice have had a positive impact in our lives with our German Shepard. She is by far the most knowledgeable trainer we have ever received advise from. Her passion for the career she has chosen is reflected in her commitment to tailor techniques and tools that will result in not just the wellbeing of any dog, but ensuring a long lasting connection as a dog owner. Her dedication, commitment, skills and passion to see each dog and owner succeed make her a trainer I will recommend to anyone.

Orvi has greatly benefitted from her classes but as owners we are responsible to do the work and put it in the time. April has guided us through this process and was always open to answer our many questions. She is honest, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
