AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village

The Waterfront in Moncton offers a charming atmosphere, with riverside parks and trails. Great for quiet walks and seasonal events. However, the infrastructure may need more investment to better serve visitors. There is a greater variety of things for sale, however, for good restaurants, it requires a walk.

It was just a walk thru back to the ship. Really spent no time there, but seemed interesting area.

Love this great idea for port shopping. Great use of available resources and pretty cool looking too.

This place is so cool! They have a variety of different vendors, tasty food trucks and even have a large stage for live music. Highly recommend checking this out if you’re in the area from a cruise ship or just exploring. Great place to grab a bite and unique souvenir or gift!

Bonne idée ce village coloré fait avec des conteneurs. C’est un bel endroit pour se promener à proximité du terminal de croisière. On y trouve quelques commerçants et petits restos.

Very unique place right outside the terminal. Quaint shops and eateries. The buildings are made from shipping containers.

Pretty awesome place to dop around. Great shops and cool art works. It would be great to see a musical act there, to be sure. Wish we had more time to in this fun space!

Nice little set of shops just outside the cruise terminal. Food, candy, crafts, and souvenirs.

Real neat what they have done with the truck trailer containers to make shops and places to eat.

Cute, pleasant atmosphere, friendly people, excellent poutine. Go do a Turkish Coffee reading, it was amazing!

Lots of little shops.clothes, maple syrup, sweets, gifts, and more. Right next to the shipand very convenient!

Such a vibe this place is! I guess summers offer so much hope and joy to people here in Saint John. Love the idea of container village. Food vendors offer so many different things. Cute souvenir shops. Support Local!

Such a great space! Even though it says only open on certain days, we were able to visit this amazing place because the cruise ships were in town!

Located perfectly for Cruise ship passengers for when the disembark for a day trip.

As a local who lives up town, I don't have much reason to visit multiple times and can see how slow it gets when there are no ships.

None the less, it's a great addition to uptown.

This place is pretty good for photo taking. If you wish to get some souvenir or gifts, you can check out the shops here. They have snacks, food trucks, clothing, accessories, and more. You can spend 30-60 minutes here just browsing. The items can be pricey though but fair enough for a tourists spot.

Unique market-style container village that also plays host to local music, events, screenings, and the Area 506 music festival. Big fans of Bella’s ice cream and the food truck options. Great views of the harbour.

Very interesting. Small spaces, but quite a few choices of stores to shop around in. From handmade leather goods to delicious food to buy & eat especially free samples. People are very friendly. Very colorful artwork.

It was kind of chilly so they weren't all open but it was still pretty cold. I'll go back when it's nice out or they have a winter event with some heaters.

Loved the Container area at the pier in St John Canada with all the little shops which were so unique. Fun going in and out of the Containers for snacks and trinqiits

First time.very nice.need more food choices and place where you could buy cigarettes.increase containers, and make more bigger.

Great location on the Saint John harbor water front with all of it's nicely painted containers made in to shops and selling a wide variety of goods. There's a outdoor stage and Bar with container top seating. They also have food trucks and Bevar Tail baked sweets. This must be a great welcoming to the Cruise Ships when they visit our City. Good job to everyone involved.

Such a cool place to visit. All cities should see and reproduce this setting and atmosphere. A bunch of containers.who knew!

It's a cool little outdoor market place with local vendors of a variety of products from handmade food stuffs to imported table cloths.good use of the space.dog friendly if that's a factor for you.

Had a visit on a non cruise ship afternoon. Good variety of local shops. Nephews loved the donuts!

This is a cool place to visit and congratulations to the folks who conceived the idea. Most of the shops appeal to younger folks than us oldsters but it was clean, friendly and varied. It must be hopping on the weekend!
