Great beer selection, beautiful location next to the river, and a small menu. The flatbread pizza and the curry Knackwurst with fries were absolutely delicious. We will come back again to try the wings. Dog friendly. They also allow RV's to park overnight.

I've stopped in twice this year and have been blown away both times by how friendly and passionate everyone at Big Axe is. We showed up on a day they were closed by accident, and we knocked on the door for a funny video. Krystle actually heard us and invited us in for a drink/took time out of her day to serve the best wings I've ever had. Super cozy bar/amazing building, and the drinks/service are AMAZING to boot. It's worth making time to stop in and choosing from the cooler anywhere. Will keep coming back!

We had a fantastic meal. My gluten-free husband especially loved the crispy air fried fries and wings. The pizza was very good too. Theor beer is high-quality craft beer and we camped on their waterfront RV spots for customers. An excellent visit!

Beautiful spot, super friendly staff. Good variety of beers. Great food. Great entertainment. Need to add additional bathroom facilities for males.
One public toilet isn't enough for a big family, let alone a facility that holds crowds of people. But everything else is beautiful, including the staff.

Stopped at Big Axe as part of the Harvest Host boondocking program and it was awesome. The view from the front of our motorhome was spectacular looking over the St. John’s River! The beer, food and service was great. Highly recommend Big Axe as an over night stop for campers via Harvest Host or for a fun night out!

My wife and I stoped in on our way to Saint John as part of a road trip.
We couldn’t get any service! There was nobody at the bar. Some guy working in the brewery looked up at us but didn’t acknowledge us or anything. Pretty unfriendly vibe. We just left.

The perfect stop for the drive from Quebec to the maritime. The staff is incredible, the beer is excellent, and if you have a camper you can spend the night by the water.

Always enjoy my visits. Excellent beer, friendly staff. Wonderful that they now serve finger food.

Traveling through the community and made a visit. WOW, now one of my favorite breweries. Great assortment of nice beers and great staff. Happy to take a 12 pack back to the camper. This is a must stop in a lovely location.

A gem of a place, good wings, poutine and pizza. Very good service. Of course the ambience is superb even for non drinkers.

Stopped in as a Harvest Host Member. We were immediately impressed as we approached to see the space and the layout for the trailers. The staff and atmosphere were super friendly and clean. We had chicken wings and pizza along with a few great cold beer. Everything was delicious. Merch was good quality and reasonably priced; I bought a hat.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Big Axe Brewery in June 2023. Pete, Krystle, and the rest of the staff went absolutely above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure things went as planned. They met with us frequently before the event and worked with us to brainstorm ideas. All of our guests were so impressed with the venue (along the Woolatoq River!) We had amazing pictures inside the brewery with all the tanks inside the gorgeous wooden building. And despite the rain, Big Axe made the pictures, the songs, the dances for the bride and groom - it all worked.they made sure we had the best day and they were exceptional in working with us to make everything work smoothly. Even when we were caught us talking to a great aunt, they would just worked with the people around us and never made us feel troubled! I can't recommend them enough for your wedding day.

I visited this location as a group of 4. We entered the location and it was absolutely beautiful, the inside is amazing, bathrooms were so clean.

We ordered our drinks/food but unfortunately we had to wait over 40 minutes to receive the food.

One of our drinks was also delivered to the wrong table and place right underneath someone’s face.

Of course I understand kitchens can get busy and especially with so many orders things can be confusing sometimes.

We ordered nachos and french fries. We got our nachos first then the french fries didn’t come out for another 10 minutes which they were for my child and he had to watch while some of us ate the food.

We also noticed people that ordered after us received an order of fries before we did.

Nothing made sense and we were really looking forward to visiting this location.

Very unfortunate and we are unsure if we will return in the future.

One of the staff members was very polite and apologized about the wait.

Absolutely amazing place:) if you're looking for the perfect drink you'll surely find a taste that can fit anyone's likes.

Enjoyed the delicious pizzas they are now offering at Big Axe! I had a veggie, my husband had the meat lovers and we were both impressed with them. Fast, friendly service, a beautiful log building, a view of the ice flows still plugging the river, lots of local beer to choose from. Date night in Nackawick at Big Axe Brewary went very well and we will be back soon.

I was visiting family in Nackawic last week and this brewery was on my must do list. It did not disappoint! Wonderful informative staff. I tried a flight of beers plus a few samples. Great selection of creative brews and cider’s. I settled with the Lizzie Borden and enjoyed with nachos and wings. I highly recommend this brewery if you’re travelling to this region of NB and a special shout out to our hostess Shannon!
