Britt's Pub & Eatery Rockwood

I am new to the NB area and was told by locals to try out Britts. I came to the restaurant alone as I didn’t know anyone in the area. The waiter said he had no space for me. I saw several tables available he said they were reserved (which is fine), but, I also saw an open spot at the bar. I asked him how long the wait would be and he didn’t say, he said sorry and sent me on my way. I am disappointed that I drove all this way to be refused service. Not a great experience, unfortunately.

How does one mess up fish & chips? I don't know, but it certainly happened to us, X2.
Both orders of fish came with soggy fish batter. So, either my fish was undercooked, or it sat somewhere where it could get damp. Sent back, and did not reorder.
Simple pub order. Should be easy.

They opened up the patio so we could bring our dog even though it was cold. They brought her water and were very nice!

Overall good experience, tried a bunch of things. Everything was good, no complaints but nothing stands out as great though. They have a good drinks menu too. We had a late lunch so place wasn't that crowded and we got served fast. Plenty of parking spaces and most times you can just walk in but during holidays the odds are you won't find a place without a booking. Prices are higher than similar places but a prime location next to a golf course comes at a premium i guess.

I left a pretty harsh review of the Princess St location’s burger, so I ordered steak and eggs. Good portion size, everything cooked perfectly. Good response time despite it being very busy when we arrived.

I actually meant to hit 5 stars when I only hit 4. The food is delicious, and very filling. The Burger meat is to die for, and the portion sizes are *just* right.

Last year, we ate here and it was awesome! But since, something has changed and it's very disappointing. All the meals was too much salty. Poutine was not the sam, something changed in the poutine and there was not enough gravy. Fried Pickles was too big in size of pickles. Tacos was too salty and fried chicken didn't taste anything except salt. In general, a big big big disappointment for us when last year we though we found THE PLACE.but now it's a no for us. For nearly 200$ of meals.it's not worth it!

Update to review, conversations with the GM of this restaurant did got well at all so I have changed my 2 start review to a 1 star. Extremely disappointed in a venue I use to love frequenting, to bad really.
Well as a department at the SJRH we attempted to get take out as we have so many time before from Britt's Rockwood yesterday, the man that answered the phone refused to take our order stating that they aren't a 'take out' restaurant. I was honestly shocked I still can't believe that our order was refused. I guess Britt's has gotten so big it is now able to refuse orders from regular faithful customers. Job not well done.

Went in for lunch. Service was very good. Food was very good as well. Will definitely be going back, especially when it's warm to get some golf in too.

What's not to love, excellent drink menu, friendly staff, good value for your money. Perfect spot to take family and friends.

After we were done the server could have brought our bill quicker but other than that the food was quick, hot and awesome!

Great service, entertaining big screens, pleasant ambiance. However, IMO, they should not claim to model English pub style. I ordered the "southern fried chicken" but the flavour was unidentifiable. It was also boneless filets of chicken, which is not "southern" at all, nor would the flavor or style be in an actual English pub.

Incidentally, I chose that item because it was the most 'pub-style' thing I could find on the menu, other than wings (which were pricey IMO).

I started with a compliment, and I'll end with one.the fries were GREAT!

Amazing food and very good prices for the quality. Only complaint would be that there wasnt enough of the chipotle sauce on my breakfast sandwich. Waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about specials and what's good and what to order.

I actually researched and read reviews to find this place. I wanted a nice lunch out with an elderly, disabled family member. Service was good. Food was not. Burgers were so odd. Tough/chewy/heavily spiced like with seasoning salt. Disappointing.

First time coming and very impressed. Good beer selection with several rotating taps. Good food selection with affordable prices. Very clean and everyone is friendly. I got the smokehouse burger which was awesome. Would come again.

First time dining at Britt's Rockwood and was very very impressed. We went on a very busy night but the service was top notch. We felt that the attentive waitress Stepanie made the wait for our main course a relaxing time for us to spend time as a family. Once we got the food it was super delicious and well worth the wait. Spinach salad was so tasty with strawberries, apple slices and walnuts. You can even add chicken. The fish portion size was really good and their smokehouse burger was greatly enjoyed by two people in my group. Overall the price is $$$ (3 out of 5) but worth it for the service, atmosphere and food!

I can't go to Saint John without at least one visit to Britt's. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food at realistic prices.

Good overall. Ordered the burger but felt it was a bit bland. The biggest negative was our seat. We sat on stools up high in the middle of the restaurant with a post beside our head. The other seats looked nice but it was a but awkward sitting there. Still good food and will be back!

Great food and on tap beers! Nice view too. Very busy place but staff are friendly and available. The kettle chips are delicious!

We frequent Britt’s Rockwood quite often and have enjoyed the food but today was the worst! Our waitress promptly took our drink orders and brought them and then disappeared for half an hour. She eventually took our orders and then we waited another 45 minutes to get our order. I ordered the chicken and avocado bowl which I ordered the previous week and it was very good. Our waitress reached across the table and handed me a very hot bowl (microwaved?), she should have come around the table and placed it. The meal was extremely cold. I’m sure the black beans had just come out of the fridge! All the items were cold with the rice at the bottom of the bowl only slightly warm from the heat of the hot bowl. Sorry Britt’s, I was not impressed today.

Took myself on a date to get the chicken fahjita salad. I'll be taking myself back again soon. It's literally the best meal in the universe.

I definitely like this location more than the uptown one. Food is always hot and always faster than what we expect it to be.
