Checker Cab

Worset company to call. Disbatch desided to start yelling at me on the phone because im tellingnthem they are not in my drive way and they yelling they are like way to gaslight me babe.im looking right out my window.this was a service that was schedualed to be picked up for 3: 30 am wasnt picked up till 10 minutes later.they even had my phone number to call me.but didnt.cab gets here. Text he driver opens the Van trunk. And I put my hand stuff in there. And he gets in the car and proceeds to leave with the trunk open.where my nanny would lose all her stuff. Never again! I live in the country at that.they werent in the next house driveway over thats for sure. I even told the lady that mistakes happen and she still procceds to yell at me if i could i would give a zero to this company. Come to find out i put a post up on facebook about it.im nit the only one to complain about this company! The cab was for my 80 year old grandmother that didnt want to miss her flight to the airport.

I like the drivers that have been there for years. They are the best ones to have great conversations with. But the newer ones I’m not a fan. Type your gps in before you start driving with anyone let alone children. It’s so bad to hope you have a good driver when you call this cab.

On time pick-up (3: 30 am) and drop-off at the airport. Sent a text confirmation that the driver was on the way. Despatcher was all business and very little interaction. Guess that's a result of being very busy. Clean cab and pleasant driver.

Probably one of the better taxi services in the city, however I'm not too fond of one of the dispatchers.

The service itself is much better, because their meters don't charge you while they're waiting in traffic and I noticed that the other taxi companies in the city do (that use meters).

Most of the drivers are great. I had one driver go above and beyond their job, which I'll forever be grateful for.

The female dispatcher is so rude. I lost my keys and every single time I called a different dispatcher told me to call back at a different time, call at noon, call at 3, call at 7. When I called back after my shift she was super rude basically yelling into the phone to call during the day and to come into the ‘damn office’ if I want my keys that bad and hung up on me. Never using checker again coming from someone who took a cab to work almost everyday. Trius is so much better! When I lost my keys in a truis cab they delivered straight to my work.

On more than one occasion the drivers have almost hit my car by cutting me off. Constant potential side swipes or cutting me off then braking in front of me suddenly like their bad driving is my fault. Not the safest driving from my pov and even if only a small fender bender happened, the passenger would end up SOL if they needed to get somewhere by a certain time.

One of the drivers just cut me off on the road and then keeps slowing down on green lights to make me miss them. He was on his phone and swirving left and right, he flipped me the finger. That driver should be taken off the road.
These guys are horrible.
I cant wait until uber take them out of town. Horrible people.

Whoever the dispatcher was between 8: 30 AM and 8: 45 AM on February 26th, 2023 is the reasons I will never be using checker again. The prices are too high to be treated the way this dispatcher talks to people. He should be immediately fired.

One of the drivers was tail gating behind me in a school zone just minutes before the school gets out for the day. I had to turn off and looked in my rear view mirror to see the driver wasn’t even looking out, they were busy looking down, likely at a phone. Glad I caught this and adjusted my speed or they would have hit me. They looked up last minute and slammed their brakes. Entirely dangerous and foolish driving for going through a school zone in a high traffic area.

My wife was on her way back from work last week when her car got stuck in the parking lot at midnight. I called Checker right away to get her a ride back. They responded very quickly and arrived at the parking lot within 8 minutes. I even got a text message that says the taxi arrived at the pick-up location. I give this review 4 stars because the driver was playing loud music during the ride.

Haha should've read the reviews beforehand, can confirm that the lady dispatcher is the rudest customer service person I've ever worked with. I understand it could be a tough job, but there's no reason to berate and belittle a potential customer when they have some simple questions. Best of luck to this business but there's no chance I'll be using them.

Great cab service, but two things that I don’t like ; they don’t have tap available and booking a cab at busy times takes sometimes more than 10 minutes. Else they have really nice drivers with clean and smoke free cars.

The guy who answers the phone for Morning and Afternoon calls is so rude.
If he doesn’t like the job he should leave don’t be rude to people and they will not be rude to you.

A driver, disrespectful driving without using his hands
playing with the wheel putting my life and my daughter's and family's, second every day I use their services, and always the same problem is late 30 min, oh and of course drivers who take alternative routes of more than 20 min just to earn more, but they make me waste my time, they are late to pick one up, and incidentally it takes another half hour to put you in the place, I am furious to pay taxis so that they take the same time as a bus, but with worse service nooo, 6 month ago they were good now only, bad bad

Called the night before to schedule a time and pickup, followed up the next morning to comfirm time and pickup, was assured was all set. Cab was 20 minutes late and made me late for the appointment I had to be at.

Called at 7: 20am, received a notification that the cab would arrive at 7: 32. Waited outside until 7: 55 and nobody showed up. The dispatcher argued with me that the cab has been there.
