Chez Leo Restaurant

The best fried sea food. We used to go there as a family on vacation 40 years ago and have been back together and separately since. We love it so much we all got Chez Leo sweatshirts for Christmas. No frills, great view, great food. Get the fried clams!

Chez Leo has been a tradition with me since the early '70's. Love the clams! I would give it 5 stars if they made their own fries. Maybe that's being picky, but there is so much more competition out there than there used to be. Homemade fries would make this place irresistible!

Really quality and quantity have gone down over the past few years. But the cost went UP beyond the value of the meal. We, and friends, used to Go there several times a year. This year we went once and still a big disappointment

Whenever we're in NB we head to this unimposing little place for fried clams, scallops and other fair. The quality of the food is great and the prices reasonable. Definitely worth the trip if you're anywhere near Shediac. It can get busy around lunch time, so come prepared.

We’re from USA, and heard about Chez Leo on a uTube foodie show where the clams were highly recommended. We knew Chez Leo was a must stop on our way to Nova Scotia. We weren’t disappointed; the clams were the best either of us had ever eaten. We also made a detour on our way home and had more clams and a lobster roll. Delicious!

The food is well prepared and the portions are well sized to fill a hungry tummy. Staff is friendly and efficient. The place is well kept and clean. Being next to the water offers a pleasurable and relaxing setting.

There's a good reason for the lineups, the food is worth the wait time. (Which is surprisingly fast when you consider the number of customers being served!)

I try to get here once a year for the past 6 or 7 years. The food is fantastic! I got the Clam Snack which was a perfect portion for 1 person and it was around $12.00. My wife got the one piece fish and chips and also 2 cans of pop for $24.00 <- steal of a deal! The food was cooked perfectly and I love their clams! Yum yum!

With inflation out of control lately I'm pleased to see they've kept reasonable prices.

Great tante. Portions of scallops are questionable however; Fried clams are generous.
Somewhat pricey. Don't be surprised to pay close to $50 for a complete fast food meal. Delicious!

Easily the best fried clams I have had. Did not get the fries, so I can't comment on those. Very friendly staff.

When it comes to fresh, tasty seafoods, I always prefer Chez Leo. The price is reasonable and the place is clean and has a good parking space.

Reason for the 3 stars is the quantity not quality, u have a lot more for ure buck in cap Pele Belair 2 person can't finish the plate, won't will going back chez Leo because of that.

Was recommend this place by a friend. Got the fried clams and fish burger for late lunch. Before night fall me and wife were suffering from food poising. I was brutal! I visited there on July 23,2022 around4: 30PM. Would like to know if anyone also had the same experience who visited during the same time. I called to report it but got no answer.

With regards to the food, it was not that great as well. The batter is very bland and not that flavour full. It was not even crispy. We made a after food that we don't see us going back there, but after the food poising, I will never visit this place or recommend it to any one.

A fine place but it didn't knock my socks off. Poutine was fine. Clams were good. Fish was fine. Nothing extraordinary.

Our first time to try this place. They have great fried clams, fish and chips and the seafood platter. Very clean place and no long wait.

In the NB for family visit and had to have a friend clam fix. As good as I remembered. Restaurant looks newly painted and decorated. Highly recommend.

My wife and I ate here this afternoon, not the worst clams I have eaten but certainly not the best. I had a clam dinner, good portion of store bought fries with just enough clams to hide the fries My wife had a 2 pc.fish and chip, fish batter was soggy and thin, we left still hungry.

Delicious and reasonably priced in 2020. Quality and quantity has noticeably gone down in 2021 and prices have gone up. Won't be back this year as their are other options.

Intended a pick up order, but upon arrival I was greeted with the friendliest server. Her name is Claire. I accepted the offer to dine in and enjoyed bar none a perfect meal which included clams, shrimp, scallop & fish.
Food prepared to perfection (enough to provide 3 full meals). The atmosphere was so relaxing and water scenery exquisite. Highly recommend Chez Leo! They will make your dinning experience one to remember.

Amazing! Fantastic food, huge portions, at an amazing price! Newly renovated and looks fantastic. Has something to please everyone in the family even young picky children! I’ve drove from Moncton just to get lunch here. My favourite spot in Shediac!

So Yummy! Great views of the water, pleasant interior. This is one of my summer favorites, I have to go at least once or twice a season. I'm from Moncton and the 25 minute drive it totally worth it! Great date spot if your looking for a drive:)

Clams were good as usual. But you better open your wallet, because there expensive. Two pop small and large clam only with a colslaw $70.00. WOW!

Prices are right, food is second to none, portion size was awesome.and the scenery is breathtaking.

They have a sitting area to eat outside along the woodline which keeps it shady after noon, which for me is one of the most important things when eating out and eating outside.

Nice trip with my wife, mother in law and father in law. They really loved the clams and fish and chips. Good portion for the price

Had the half and half clam and scallop meal and it was a perfect split between my wife and I.

Will probably be back for the lobster roll as it was the best priced we have seen so far @12.95 for the meal.

Lobster rolls, fried clams and fried scallops are all juicy and amazing! Nice little counter with friendly service! Would highly recommend if you are in the area!

Decent shrimp, excellent scallops. Good service. The factory tartar sauce was a disappointment, wish it was homemade.

Standard frozen seafood, except the fish which is excellent. I will go back, but I'll be taking the fish and chips and maybe at best the fried clams, I wouldn't bother with shrimp or scallops.

Chicken was different but ok, but we didn't really enjoy the fish or poutine. Clams looked really good, wish I had tried them.
