Chignecto Campground

Campground is great but the firewood situation is not. Paying a flat fee for unlimited firewood sounds ok but when the wood is soaking wet and border line unusable and you still have to pay for nights and days where it is downpouring, the situation is no longer great. Definitely a pain to deal with.

Nice site in a beautiful park. Large lots with lots of coverage. Clean and well maintained bathrooms and showers. Nice staff. No wifi. Very close to the sweet town of Alma with amazing views.

Site 132.slightly sloped, very private. You do hear Hwy traffic from this site but it quiets down after dinner hour.
Fire pit, picnic tables look brand new. It's our second night of 5. Having the best time, hubby and I are hitting the bike trails tomorrow if weather is good!
Nice park for fall camping

Quite private and huge sites️ Excellent wheelchair accessibility throughout the park Clean bathrooms, showers and the "thickest thin" 1-ply toilet paper from camping at 6 different National/Provincial Campgrounds this summer️

The staff at the park were incredible assisting with relocating families displaced by hurricane Fiona.

Thanks to everyone at headquarters and the visitor center for being so accommodating and helpful.

Ons stuk grond (127) was niet level. Maar wat er goed aan is een groot stuk met een goede fire pit waar je ook op kunt BBQ doen. Er is ook een grote speeltuin met picnic banken. De badkamer bij ons in de buurt was niet zo proper. Dus in de camper gedoucht.

Love this campground! We had site #22. Very spacious site with a mixture of sun and shade. Private from the campsites next door. Bathrooms were super clean and showers were amazing. Staff supper friendly. They sell campfire wood for 7.50 a bag and it burns great! They also sell ice for $4.00 per bag which is very convenient. Two nice playgrounds and some walking trails.

Camping très bien situé à proximité de la ville d'Alma. Les terrains pour roulotte sont grands et intimes. Le parc pour enfant est très bien situé et bien entretenu. Je recommande fortement.

Nous entendons les véhicules sur la route. Aucune surveillance alors lorsqu’un ou même plusieurs de voisins de camping désirent faire la fête, mettre de la musique, crier, etc…malheureusement aucune quiétude n’est possible.

Wonderful campground to act as a base to explore the fundy biosphere. Washrooms and showers appeared newer, kitchen shelter was enclosed (no mosquitos!) And bike rentals just across the road from the campground.

Second time here better experience than the last time. The campsites are well layed out. Service posts are conveniently close to where you park. The washroom is central to the campground and clean.couple of complaints 1) get rid of the raised fire pit box its annoying and half the time hot coals spill out onto the ground when your log burns through the middle making it dangerous for little ones. 2) single use plastic wood bundles. Why?

For a federal park my experience with the washrooms are extremely bad in Chignecto Campground. The person cleaning just through water on the floor and pushed it around. The floors were dirty and extremely wet. They were a danger for falls. There is really no excuse for a cleaner to be that lazy. Unexceptable! Last year we had no hot water at Headquarters Campground. Not sure if I will ever go back!

Beautifully campground with big parks for the kids to run around. The space between two camps is very nice and gives you complete privacy. The bathrooms are really nice and we'll kept.
