My favorite spot to get coffee, tea, baked goods, breakfast foods and.desserts! The staff is magical. Love!

A traveller's delight for us! Delcious food: healthy, freshly made sandwiches, yummy bread, light-texture bagels, scones, baked treats - GF and vegan options. Rich coffee. Homey atmosphere and pleasant staff. Clean bathrooms. An oasis in Sackville. Cranewood has earned our happy visit on every trip Ottawa/Antigonish.

My lovely wife Pat and I were just traveling through Sackville this one afternoon. Fortunately, we stopped at this bakery, but unfortunately, we missed their hotmeals time of day. Only their light snacks and drinks were open to us.
Pat chose one of their tea options while I requested one of their hot chocolate drinks.
While Pat waited, I used their bathroom on the main floor. I was delighted with their pleasantly comphy bathroom setup. That's always a good sign.
While I was occupied, Pat was able to surprise me with a couple of delicious treats once we were back in our car, while she took pleasure in eating a selection of couscous salad.
While in this old building, it pleased me to see an old-world charm about the interior. Everything appeared very well kept. I do enjoy seeing real wood being used. I'm old school.
Both Pat and I look forward to returning to this fine establishment next time we are in town.
We were made to feel welcome, even though we hit them close to closing time.

A favourite stop for coffee and baked goods when you need a break from the Trans-Canada. Friendly young staff who can fill you in on the building's history. Also, a sitting room if you want to enjoy your coffee or tea before hitting the road again.

Food is decent but they never post any prices on their menu board, so by the time you order and pay, you then realize how expensive it is for what you get.and then it takes forever for them to make your order.

I have to say that my family was terribly disappointed with the two desserts I chose yesterday afternoon. Beyond terrible and way too expensive. Won't be coming back anytime soon.
Edit: the desserts were the Oreo cake and Pumpkin mocha cake.

My first visit here. Beautiful building! Had a havarti and veg on daily bread with a chai latte, and spice cake dessert. Very delicious!

This place is overrated. Tall cashier w/ the Kermit shirt was very nice, but the person making the coffee was extremely miserable. If the prices were better I'd give it 3 stars. Baked goods were average.
