Editing my review as I spoke to Head office in Moncton, I spoke to Drew. Drew advised me he would call back within 24hrs about the matter, over a week ago. I have not heard back since.
There is absolutely too many unreasonable rules meant to counter the homeless, drug situation this city has which absolutely gets in the way of customer enjoyment.
Every time I am here, there's a bartender telling off customers over "rules" that pander to the homeless, not every day paying customers.
I can't bring a book bag in here, a shopping bag, etc, because I am assumed to be a drug using homeless bathroom fiend. Just recently I had an awful experience with a bartender here who made it a point to single us out, over a shopping bag that clearly had nothing inside worth worrying over. And we've frequented this place many many times, spending money.
This same bartender laughed at me, in a mocking manner because I spoke to a person accompanying me about the bad service at this bar.
There's a list of rules taller than the door you walk inside about what you cannot do in this bar. At this rate, they will be serving more homeless customers than paying customers, much to the chagrin of their purported helpful rules.
Not a fun bar to visit, and I see why it's always dead here with no customers the times I've visited.
I wouldn't go unless you like being lumped with scum and treated as such because the owners and /or police are too lazy to do something about these people.

The wait and bar staff are lovely. Very friendly and up beat and they had to deal with some clown upset he didn't have his vaccine proof. He made a mess of their entryway and caused a scene but they were pros!

A nice pub to have a relaxing beer with the boys. Always great service. No complaints.

Dooley's never changes, through good and bad there's always pool, drinks are reasonably priced also
