Element5 Spa & Salon Saint John

My new haircut looks great. Joseph was very meticulous. It was so relaxing! I will definitely be going back.

Element 5 spa was not what I expected, the atmosphere when my daughter and I arrived was nice but as the appointment went on (we got our nails done) all we could hear was a bunch of ladies laughing and yelling, now this isn’t a bad thing but, when you come to relax it takes you out of the moment. Nails tuned out nice, mine chipped before a week, they advised I could come back in for free to get a fix if it was before a week.

I am highly impressed and satisfied with the services provided at the Element5 Spa and Salon. Nicole and Rebacca are really good at their work. But there front counter staff needs to make sure if someone is not available doesn't book the appointment. I have waited 30 mins there. They moved my appointment from 4: 30pm to 5pm without informing me. Earlier I gave 5️ but now I am giving 3️.

I'm doing waxing for years, and I tried different service providers in Saint John. And today Amanda completely exceeded my expectations, she is the best!

Absolutely wonderful service, great atmosphere, very nice people. Highly recommended. I can not think now of going anywhere else for this type of service.

P.s. I love having a shower there before the waxing. You can ask for sleepers if you forgot yours. Bathrobe if needed, towels - all for you.

FYI - expensive. I had 1.5 hr of services for express mani-express pedi for $110 + only 15% tip (after I heard the total.) I chose nail polish over massage for pedi with regular nail polish on toes, jell polish on fingernails. No extras. (A cup of tea.) No prices listed in visible sight.
Total with tip & taxes = $145.

Surprises around every corner! When you walk through the doors you are hit with the most lovely aroma, then you’re brought into their lounge to wait for the esthetician. The lady that brought me in offered me a glass of lemon water, a cup of tea or asked if I would like a beverage menu. I chose the tea and it was so delicious, I bought the tea bags on my way out. When she brought over my tea she also had a warm cloth, that I used on my cold hands. My pedicure was amazing and I even fell asleep. The esthetician was friendly and at the end she described to me what I can do at home to keep my feet in good condition. She recommended a foot relief and a file. After checking out the lady working the desk handed me a piece of chocolate and thanked me for coming in! Absolute best experience! Thank you, Element Five!

I would give zero stars If I could. I am changing my review to reflect my 2nd experience here as it was not the same as the first and not pleasant. This time I called in I asked if Mackenzie will be working they let me know that she has left the salon and gone elsewhere: (, I was disappointed but they had someone else just as good the receptionist says so I booked the appointment. Upon going I was in waiting room for or half an hour waiting and then the man that took me into the salon seemed like he didn't know what he was going to do with my hair, the man behind him had to instruct him that she wants all blonde and all I was getting was a full set of Foils and the last time I was there I got a full head of foils, colour and a haircut and was a great price this time for less of a service that I was getting they were charging me $100 more almost $400 to just to get foils, WOW so I walked out and won't ever be returning. Horrible Service this time very different than last. I do not recommend this salon plus I still had to pay for parking when I got no service. Horrible!

Element5 Spa & Salon is a gem hidden in the Saint Marketplace. The facial was amazing with the highest quality products and attention paid to every detail. And for my pedicure, the chair rotated back and I laid back for the whole service. What an amazing experience. This place is my new go-to when I am in New Brunswick.

Went here to get my hair cut and eyebrows done. The eyebrows were amazingly done, the lady was awesome and very patient with me as I have autism and eyebrow waxing can be overstimulating! 10/10 experience for the eyebrows. The haircut was poor. No shade towards my hairstylist; she was very friendly, kind and whatnot however she did not give me anything close to the haircut I asked for. I was going in for a shorter wolf cut, I received a borderline bowl cut that just barely went over my ears; the most upsetting part was that I had offered to keep the image up for reference and I had spoken about how in my culture (indigenous) large sums of hair chopped off was a huge deal. I wanted about 2 inches off but received more than 10 inches removed; to add onto that I had discussed that I was legally blind without my glasses and could not see without them on, and as everyone knows; you remove your glasses when your hair is being cut. Now this isn’t the worse part. Upon calling them back and complaining to see what could be done for me they told me I’d get a call back from the manager; I never received a call back. AVOID THIS PLACE FOR HAIRCUTS! I had to go ahead and frantically spend 200$ on extensions, and pay another hair dresser to fix my hair and give me the haircut I deserved. I urge you to go elsewhere for hair; please!

Ps- I paid 60$ +tax to go home and cry my eyes out over my hair and then over 200$ to get it fixed

Someone with such a sour face should not be the first point of contact. The desk person had no interest in acknowledging my existence while she was on the phone when i walked in. Then even when she got off couldn't even fake a smile or an appology for the wait. The place was lovely to the waiting room where I waited 10 minutes before someone came saying the desk person hadn't checked me in in the system. Great. Then the waxing room was my biggest issue. There's a reason spas and hotels use white towels. The once black or brown or grey towels looked SO nasty after having been over used, bleached and over washed. They looked so dingy along with the shelves just covered in supplies. It wouldnt be possible to clean properly. It should look like a hygienic space and it simply didn't at all. It's too bad because the waxing person and service was 10 out of 10. But I don't think I could go back to that room: S

Beware. When you book online, you are not guaranteed to get the hairdresser you requested. I tried to book with Mikaila, but was reassigned and not made aware until I got there. I decided to keep the appointment anyways, but was not pleased with my haircut by the replacement. Will not go back.

Chloe was f a b u l o u s and my hair looks incredible. I will 100% be going back to her when I need a touch up. She's very talented at finding the right style for you and makes sure you have a lovely experience as well - She's vibrant and funny, and very clearly loves what she does. 10/10.

I was in a LOT of neck and shoulder pain today - and after asking around, I was referred here by a very nice saleswoman in a nearby shop called Aries.
Wow! I had the most wonderful deep pressure massage today, from Julia. THANK YOU Julia!
I feel so much more relaxed and pain-free now! Your "hands on" (literally) technique, demeanor and professionalism are excellent!
And Rebecca, at the front desk was so very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating.as was the other woman at the front desk, who cheered my being a breast cancer survivor, when I was leaving to go.
The inexpensive price that I paid for my 30 minute massage was great!

Nicole gives a fantastic pedicure! The reclining chairs are a very nice touch and the whole experience was very relaxing. Will definitely be back!
