Lots of history and lots of neat artifacts.
The upkeep of the old fort is well done and the view of the surrounding landscape is fantastic.

Amazing knowledge! I do wish tho they would have more information on both the French and British troops. And not be one sided.

The fort was not open, but the view is just spectacular. It has a 360 view of the entire area in aulac, very peaceful and calm. The evening sunset view is just awesome. They have maintained it so good, that you can walk through the entire fort and and the greenery around it. Air is really fresh to breath in and there is an opportunity to set up campfire and set up a camping area too.
I would definitely revisit this place again. Just for the feel and the fresh air.

Tellement une belle visite malgré la pluie incessante. Le guide nous a donné une foule d'informations supers intéressantes de même que sa collègue. Vraiment investis dans leur rôle, nous avons vraiment apprécié!

This is a very interesting National historic site, very fundamental in the history of the Seven Years War in Canada. For families, it's a great place to have a picnic, fly a kite or take in the view of the area. My son wanted to practice with his newly restored pipes, hence the piper on the ramparts

Visite intéressante et instructive si on prend le temps de lire un peu partout. Visite des bâtiments sous terrain impressionnant.

This was a great place to stop to break up the drove from PEI to Fundy. There is a great little interpretive centre and the fort ruins are really cool. There are some rebuilt areas of the ruins which give a great idea of what the store rooms would have looked like. You can also camp here overnight in small permanent canvas shelters.

Gorgeous view, fascinating history. Lots of spots to sit for a picnic. Not very busy. They offer camping there, I will definetly be doing that next summer!

Love seeing history preserved. The museum wasn't open on my early morning stop but I enjoyed myself walking the grounds and seeing the views. Great place to stretch your legs. I have Acadian ancestry from the Beaubassin area so it was interesting to walk where my ancestors had lived. Not hard to see why they picked this location for a fort, the view is endless.

This was a beautiful spot to stop on our drive between Halifax and Moncton. Lots of.history. Kids (8 and 10) loved the xplorers booklet and running around the ruins of the fort. Found out where we arrived that you could camp there! Putting that experience on the list for next time.

I was not impressed with this part. The museum wasn't opened when we were there. Not much to see on the grounds.

Very nice fort. You get to learn about the French and the English and how they battled. Very interesting to learn that the same fort has two different names depending on who was living in it.

Worth the (small) admission fee to see the view. Interesting exhibits and Fort. The staff was around and happy to answer any questions.

Vraiment très intéressant, bien contente que ce soit le nom original du fort. Beaucoup d'histoire sur les acadiens que nous ne connaissions pas vraiment. Allez y et un accueil chaleureux

Got there before they opened for the season. We took a walkabout, we will go back again when it is open.

Free to visit and the cost to go in the museum building is well worth it. Kids and adults had a few hours of fun!

Beau-tiful landscape, definitely able to see why this was selected as a location for a key fort during the wars. Can see for what seems like miles in any direction and the manmade bunkers conceal what's really inside before you make it to the fort itself.

Definitely recommend a visit if you're driving by during the summer anyway! And getting a tour is as always, worth the wait.

Visited in the winter when we had some time between hockey games in the local tournament. Always wanted to see this place when I'm driving by on the highway.

Looking forward to visit again in the summer.
