Habaneros Modern Taco Bar

This is my close by go to cheat meal place, burgers, poutines, and tacos! (Burritoes, nachos, fish burgers, etc.)

The protein portion was bismal. Completed an online order 45 mins ahead, food was definitely sitting for 40 of those minutes. Quality of this food has hit rock bottom lately. Recommend staying away or only eating at the cheese curds side.

This is a pretty decent place to eat. I haven't found my favourite food item yet. Still looking.

We had a terrible experience today.
1) The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. If I had went to the bathroom before I ordered my food, I would not have ordered ANYTHING. Absolutely disgusting.
2) They advertise "Chicken Souvlaki taco with feta cheese and tzatziki", however, after I ordered and paid, I was told by the person making the food that they have no feta or tzatziki. I was advised that feta and tzatziki were" too expensive to carry". The chicken was cold and the taco shell stale.

We've eating here many times and it's great every time! Although we've had the burgers, it's really the burrito side we love. Always tasty, fresh ingredients... And a nice variety of rice flavours, salsas and flavoured sour creams. Yum!

The people are nice, the food is very meh, I honestly would rather buy some masa and just make at home. So if anything at all, you have inspired me to cook proper tacos at home.

We waited in line for 20 minutes. Got to the front of the line and tried to order, only to be told the “Mexican side” of the restaurant was now just suddenly closed due to lack of staff. While a woman was still making food for other people there. No announcement, nothing to tell people not to bother waiting in line - just told we can’t order food that we’d driven 45 minutes to get. We could still order burgers though, apparently the staff could make those ok. Won’t go back.

Save yourself and don’t make my mistake and order the cheesy extreme thinking you’re getting nachos. Soggy chips with cold cheese and toppings. Not even warmed or heated. Super disappointed. Was also all crammed in such a small container that there was no way to eat it without making a huge mess.

Best burgers I've ever had, large portions, amazing shakes, tons of poutine options and amazing staff

The restaurant use to be the best around when they first opened, then slowly over time the quality has gone down hill. Every few months I try to eat here in hopes that it has improved, but was once again disappointed. Ordered 3 tacos and a side of fries, the fries were under cooked and soggy when I opened the bag in the car. I was also disappointed when they microwave the proteins for the tacos. I wish they had more pride than to use a microwave to prepare the food, the other taco places in the area don't use a microwave, at least not directly in front of the customer. The upside is that the staff was super friendly and great to deal with, they were the only redeeming quality.
